The only continent where F1 is truly loved and there is true passion about the races is our Europe, in Asia sure they have their fans and also they love motorsport, of course not as much as we do here as we live everyday with them, as they say if you can drive in Europe you can drive everywhere in the world, in America though it is all about sponsors and money and why not that stupid Las Vegas GP didn't show anything good as we all hoped for so not much to say there either. I hope that now are already into race week since tomorrow morning enjoy the Baku race we all have enjoyed during all these years where massive incidents have happened, let's see what it unveils.

Hey slaman29 and notblox1 didn't submit the last race, so I guess we have a few DNFs already midway to the season.

For me its not forgot, I just dropped out of this pool Nothing fancy just needed to leave for different priorities. I still weirdly follow the sport even though, however!

Guys, don't know did you saw it or not, but don't confuse dates of Azerbaijan GP. Because of Remembrance Day races will be held on Saturday, not on Sunday, while qualifications is moved to Friday.

Thanks for the heads-up, I never would have imagined such a drastic departure from the traditional race days. I wonder if anyone will actually fall into this trap despite the announcements? That's usually happens, hehe, from what I've seen wherever I've worked 

Who else has Kimi outright riding? Odds are now 1.08 (best I could find) and I got it close to 13/10 so I'm pretty happy, only two months plus to hang tight. The last two wins were a real gift, though, weren't they?

It's me  It seemed to me that Kimi was monstrously underrated and betting on him was literally a bet against some big accident happening that would knock him out of the season completely or for several races. I placed a couple of bets before both the Italy (on the right) and Spain (on the left) races.

Agree with you, maybe latinamerica and asia are the other two were F1 is followed but theya re so big that in some regions for sure they dont care at all about it. For example Brazil and Argentina love and follow the Formula 1 and Mexico also.

Well nice bets KTC, it seems pretty sure bets and great odds. The only "bad" thing is the patience needed to take the wins home since it remain like a year from now.

Yeah, such things is rare, but happens time from time. IIRC, there was several races in Middle East held on Saturday because of Ramadan. But I guess someone is going to fall in this thing .

In general yes, Europe is pinnacle of F1. There is some exceptions like Australia or Japan were people is very passionate about F1. USA - I guess F1 is still far behind NASCAR and they have to add all these cringe things to get more attention.
But if I would live in other continent, following F1 would be a bit more difficult because most races would be on inconvenient time - night or early morning. Time zone difference is one of reasons why I barely follow American sports.

Finally we are coming back to F1 Grand Prix Azerbaijan this week, and I wont forget to post my predictions this time.
Kimi Antonelli looks back on track and he is favorite to win again, but Verstappen has a good record in past driving in Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and he won two times.
I hope I wont forget that main race is in Saturday this time, not in Sunday like it usually is.

Amazing, wish I'd the balance to also take those on accas but I committed a pretty sum (by my standards, haha) to the outright. Even before Spain, he already had such a huge lead and I'd read that no one every lost the title with that lead -- which has only grown since.

Oh, and I've lost all my outstanding accas anyway haha.

Well nice bets KTC, it seems pretty sure bets and great odds. The only "bad" thing is the patience needed to take the wins home since it remain like a year from now.

Actually, I'm in no rush   And you can look at outrights differently - it's not just a long period, but a period in which you are guaranteed not to lose money since it's already in the bet (of course, you can only hope that the bet works out)

Yes, it all makes sense, half the calendar has passed, and when one person dominates while the others can't even sort things out among themselves, there’s no room for doubt.
As for outrights, I have one where I added United to the top 10 with odds of 1.04, I think. And now I’m looking at the table... like this

If Colapinto truly stands out it means he has matured enough to go in search of a better team. I know he bas momentum right now as he has been doing great so far in these last races yet I think a very lengthly technical track like this one is a solid evidence if he manages to do above well here. If he crashes though all these past races will not mean anything and people will perceive them as just some sort of good luck rather than skill. This track is a true test for him.

Yeah we all have to paid attention to the date and to the hour of this qualifycation is two hours early and one day early so in summary is 26 hours earlier than normal 

About Colapinto, if i didnt remember bad he have one of his best race here driving for Williams a few years back right?

Is not gonna be easy we all know that tricky turns in the part of the castle is just a minor mistake and your race is finished, i hope he make no mistakes and bring home a great result.

It is almost time again, and the next race is just around the corner. This time, I am taking a slightly riskier approach because I hope to make up some points in the standings. Even though Mercedes and Antonelli are the clear favourites, I believe Ferrari could also have a realistic chance thanks to their higher downforce setup, especially in the slower and more technical sections of the street circuit. Of course, the long straights could still favour Mercedes, so it will be interesting to see which setup works best. For now, all we can do is wait and see.

My predictions have been submitted, and I am looking forward to an exciting race weekend.

I would think that you have done well to choose Ferrari as from 2021 to 2024 Leclerc has been on pole and unfortunately he has not win a single race here, some because of stupid strategy errors, some because of mechanical failures and some because of some crash or other impact like Safety car going in. Now that Ferrari is a bit better, they clearly lack the pace of Mercedes yet in this track which is highly technical usually skillful drivers make the pole, I never thought of Leclerc of a skillful driver so far, I only thought lucky for him to be in Ferrari but seeing 2021-2024 making poles, it surely shows my thinking is wrong and he is a great driver. Let's hope to see a non-Mercedes powered engine wins the first pole of the season.

I can easily imagine that a team other than Mercedes could win this weekend. Ferrari has usually been very competitive on this circuit, and the track in Azerbaijan also seems to suit Verstappen quite well. However, I will wait and see how things look after qualifying, the i we will see a direction. The qualifying result should give us a much clearer idea of the true balance of power, although I still expect Antonelli to finish on the podium.
