Ban Appeal Request

I'm of whats going to be a very unpopular opinion, in that I don't think this user was using AI to write their posts, but I also think they should stay banned.

If the user was banned for being a low-quality poster, that makes sense to me.

I haven't seen the real reason he was banned, but I doubt a human would write this:

bitcoin from the time of my knowledge has never had love from the people

Uh I dunno, it might have been written by a human, I've seen some people write some pretty heinous nonsense here over the years.  

If it said, "from the time of my knowledge cutoff date," then I might be a bit more suspicious.

To me, he's trying to say "since I've known about Bitcoin"... "Since I've known about it, Bitcoin has never had love..." But this post is so bad, even knowing that tidbit doesn't help it convey a single meaningful thought. Its truly a case of silence being better; ergo, I'm still fine with the ban, lol.

I usually see (and hear) weird sentences like that coming from people who are thinking in their own native language and translating into English as they speak/write, which many of those with a lower level of English do.

Not saying that is the case here, but it could be one of the explanations.

Likewise I doubt an Ai or machine would a post of such quality.
There's nothing writable that a human can't write
Nor did Ai magically created their own words.

Hallelujah, you did it . I don't know why, but I keep coming across your posts. Today you have recognized that the use of AI can become quite difficult to detect nowadays. This is what we discussed a couple of days ago.

Hahaha, thanks for the kind words . I was trying to say the same thing in my last post but my expression wasn't good and that might be the reason you considered it as a paraphrased post. To be honest, I agreed with you on that post and I agree with you here as well.

But the OP's posts, as it also seemed to me when viewing his posts, did not detect the use of AI as often as in the case of the given link.

What to do in such cases?

I've also gone through most of OP posts and to be honest, I wasn't able to find any post with AI generated content. If OP has modified a LLM in a way that it creates posts that look completely human written posts then it could be hard to detect such AI generated content in future. I also don't know what possible steps we might take to stop such type of AI content.

Op, why haven't you replied since you created the ban appeal. You allowed your emotions to control you. You started off wrongly here.
You were supposed to be calm and very logical. Your opportunity to explain to everyone that you were wrongly accused, you don't start your own appeal by creating drama and calling out LoyceV.

From the real world scenario, appeal means you already lost a judgement and seeking for a second chance. You were supposed to avoid anything that will create drama in this thread. You should be begging for a second chance with reasons. In the appeal thread, reasons win and not emotions.

I don't think you were banned for using AI to make your posts since there is no record of using AI in your post history. However, you might be banned for other reasons because considering how strict the new AI rules by theymos is, if your ban was as a result of using an AI to make your posts it could have possibly be a permanent ban rather than a temporary ban of 1 year. I don't know if it is against forum rules to ask the moderator that banned your account for a brief of the ban that would have given you clarity IMO.

I think you didn't read the OP carefully and seem to have skipped the replies as well. Ivystar5 was banned from wearing signatures after being accused of posting using AI.

He hasn't even read what the OP wrote in the starting post, nor in the previous topic of PrimeNumber7's topic. He just thought this topic here was fit to count one more post for his weekly quota. As for the OP, it seems that he isn't interested in the forum anymore or has given up trying to unban his main account, he hasn't replied back. If he's temporarily banned, he most likely accepted his fate and simply decided to wait it out.

Sorry but i read and understood the contents of OP and why he created this thread, i also read the other thread created by PrimeNumber7 and even made a reply there some days ago. The reason why i said what i said is that a lot of users (including me) have confirmed that Ivystar5 didn't use AI to make his posts but they were emphasizing more on the user being a shitposter, hence the reason why i said his ban may not be as a result of using AI but could be for other reasons which the mods that banned him can only explain.

Assuming I have my impression about you that you are a shit poster, but I can not make any accusation against you as AI plagiarist if you did not use AI for your posts. If there is or are accusations, discussions about it, and forum moderators banned the account, I see very small chance of mistake.

‎Like I said in my first comment on that thread, I saw @PrimeNumber7 thread, I read through it and also read through the few comments on the threads, but no body followed the instruction and I decided to do so.   Was that my wrong?  because I decided to follow instruction on that topic, that was why I was being accused of using AI and then my account got banned.

‎It shows how pathetic some of you are on this forum, especially @Loycev, that was the least I expected from an experience member like you, you took a rash action without accessing the situation to confirm if the accusation poured on me is true or not.

From what I know, you can actually fall into trap or misled by following inappropriate guides or instructions.
It is also your obligation to be able to dictate what is right and what is wrong to avoid being misled otherwise, if judgment has to be taken, no one would care if you were only following instructions or not.
Do you know that if that was a scam trick, it does not stop you from being victimized? Same applied to when you follow wrong instructions here in the forum.
It is still baffling how can you suggest everyone in the thread was not following instructions except you which led to your ban. I also don't think the user (s) you accused of your sanctioned was responsible for your ban. Definitely Theymos did so would had been preferable of you to appeal and not calling names of accusing others.

If the user was banned for AI, well, is there any actual evidence they were using AI other than because they responded to that one post? Because their posts certainly do not exhibit the telltale signs we normally see.

If the user was banned for being a low-quality poster, that makes sense to me. And it should inspire some kind of fear in similar shitposters to do better.
