A friend of mine had a job Interview to go for and before ge left he said he forgot to draft out a letter, I asked him to get it done but he couldn't proceed with it instead, he used Ai to draft it out and my thought was, without Ai there is no way that he would have written out the letter, that tells you the level of dependence we have on Ai, this is indeed making a lot of people lazy in this generation. Some people even find it hard to keep a conversation going because they use Ai to reply their messages which is very bad, it shows how lazy they are now.

People dont walk anywhere any more, they eat the same but they aint burning those calories just fuel to make motors do all the work for them.  They aint plowing fields the right way anymore not even a horse drawn blade is easy enough for them, they got to have it all done for them.  They aint even picking the harvest no wonder people are so useless and unexercised now, its been done for them too easily.

You arent wrong but its not anything new and productive gains are likely massive if all this easy utility can be put towards a productive task or problem.
   There's a definite dilemma there, I think we got the arts and craft movement during the industrial revolutions of the 1800's because mass production made people miss the induvial skill and expertise and factory produce was looked down on no matter how well made it appeared, much like AI has dislike now I think.

AI, when used properly, can be a very useful tool. A person who knows graphic design will use the same AI and generate a better picture than someone who doesn't know how to design. The same goes for codes. A programmer can use AI to generate the code for a website better than a person who doesn't know how to create websites.

If a thing makes a job easier, or "better", it doesn't mean it makes the person lazy. If so, then we should have been doing everything by hand and forget about any form of technology.

I always use a simple example in such comparisons, which is the ordinary calculator. In the past, people used to do calculations manually or mentally, so they were skilled at them. But after the invention of the calculator, no one bothered to multiply two simple numbers, so indeed, people became lazier and lazier thanks to technology.

Indeed, AI does many things excellently. To the point that some professions are no longer needed. To some extent, this can contribute to laziness. AI is supposed to make your work easier and not for you to rely wholesomely on AI. Your comparison is very wrong, you only designed a flyer probably which is only a subset of media design and I bet you it was a simple job, other professional jobs would demand a mix of AI and your expertise. The major things I do with AI in flyer design is to help with a beautiful background which I used to pay for and to reduce its size very much without affecting its resolution.

There are other branches of graphic design like

• Motion graphics
• Product design
• UI/UX
• Marketting/advertising
• Publications

The list can go on. The thing is that if you are not good in what you're doing, you would never know if the AI is giving you a wrong output and you would likely end up with an unprofessional delivery.

Things will get worse for a lot of jobs out there, gaming developers for example have to rely on AI to generate worlds in games, its easier and faster but one thing is certain, it will have a bad impact because many games will get even more boring, I believe in something built from scratch for a purpose.

They always hit differently, right now even the more perfect AI video generator still have some disadvantages, they aren't always perfect and some people can see through such videos.

On the long term AI will likely fall off unless they can produce perfect results.

If AI tools can easily and accurately perform a task that would have taken you some time to do, what's the need to stress yourself? AI doesn't make you lazy; rather, it gives you extra time to engage in something else. You should also note that graphic design still needs a human touch to make it creative and different. AI tools usually produce monotonous concepts, so you still need to be creative to get the best out of them.

AI is here to stay, and everyone will have to join the train or be left behind. The notion that these tools will make people lazy is true, but it will also make some people smarter, creative, and more productive.

I wouldn't say that AI has made people to be lazy rather it has made tasks to become easier with accurate or near accurate results, it is like a shortcut to achieving success without stressing yourself. We cannot disregard innovations because it will change the way things were done with a lot of hardwork and inaccuracies perhaps we will forget how difficult it was to get work done with a lot of research and frustrations. Would you not rather prefer to ride in a vehicle from one city to another than walk because vehicles will make you lazy. Graphics designing or coding are not the only things people do, and I don't agree that AI makes you lazy, but I do agree that it can do some things more quickly and efficiently than human beings, but then it depends on how humans use it, whether to help them get something done, or they make it do everything for them, in which case, you can say that the person has become lazy, but logically, AI is a useful technology that can help us with a lot of things, but one shouldn't completely rely on AI to do everything for them, because for now, it's not able to do everything.

Someone who is an expert in graphics designing can do wonders, AI only can create what it can, but a person's imagination and skills can always be better than an AI model, so I don't think people should stop learning skills only because there are AI models that can do the work for them. Besides, if you want to do commercial work, you can't use AI for everything you do, you can only take help from it where it's possible, but you can't do everything using AI and make money that way. AI is a good innovation and development, but at the same time, if care is not taken and not properly checked/regulated, it could create more problems for the world than the perceived benefits. And how it would affect this core responsibility depends on the area and industry we are taking about.

TBH, I feel for the future of the coming generations and the world at large. I hope there are adequate documentations of the manual ways of doing things, otherwise, problems are looming. It will get to a point that people who were supposed to be the experts of industries are 100% or significantly reliant on AI. So what kind of world are we building?

An external tool or device is not able to make you something that you are not. If "it made you" lazy, that is because you were already lazy. Actually, the majority of the people on the planet can be considered lazy. Doing the bare minimum work needed, in repetitive ways, and never considerably improving anything falls into the lazy category.

Misrepresenting yourself is fraud. Writing anything using AI, on a level that is considerably higher than your own skill, to get something is fraudulent. A lot of reputable places will ban you permanently for doing this, we just need the job market to catch up and the AI slop will start healing. Instead of using AI to cheat, how about taking responsibility for your own mistakes? If you forget to do something that important, then you should face the consequences of your actions. Trying to escape from them leads to a negative outcome overall.

Well, there is no reason why i should feel bad that through AI i can run my design on my own even when i don't have the graphic design skill and that i can do it at a faster pace. we have t learn to understand that there are a lot of ting we should be doing with out brains while we leave the not so complex tax for AI to help us solve.

It is just like complaining that because of calculators that people no longer try to use their brain to do basic calculation. certainly, there are times when you will be required to use your brain to carry out some of those calculation but at the same time, there are things AI and the calculator can help you solve while there are others that you can solve by yourself. it s only bad when you are pushing all the task to AI and refusing to do anything at all.

We have to embrace this advancement that's brought by the latest technology of AI. I even watched a short film/teaser done by AI in one day.

It's actually amazing that we're seeing all of these designing features and even in the film and editing industry. It's not making people lazy but it's challenging everyone who's got a replaceable skill by them.

I will still advice people to pursue their passion and the skills they have but, upskilling should be a part of it because of how quick the AIs are learning new skills.

There is a thin line between using AI to improve your performance and to just becoming lazy and narrow minded. It will depend on who is using it. Unfortunatelly, I think in most cases people will really become lazy, while a minority will start using it efficiently and for personal development purposes.

I can't deny the fact AI is temptating when putting us in a comfort zone where everything can be done automatically, without any effort from our side. But that is dangerous on long run, because it means we are giving up on our skills, potentials and capacities.

It's a new era we are heading into. Outcomes are still unknown.
