AI indeed make people lazy because many people no longer trust their brain for even simple things, AI have become their resort at all times. Even students are not exempted from this, a lot of them rely on AI for research works, presentation and almost all academic aspect.  Even in some instances, some student use AI everything including attempts to use that for examinations. I don't know this is the downside of AI but it is indeed disappointing to see people resorting the use of AI and never trusting their brain in everything.

Anybody use ebay lately?  If so, have you read sellers' descriptions of their items for sale?  It's the most idiotic system I've ever seen--ebay gives sellers AI tools to write those descriptions for them, and so often they describe what's for sale in the most general terms you can think of; nothing about the condition or things a buyer would really want to know when they're going to be purchasing something from a stranger.

And on top of that, ebay's recommendation to sellers (so as not to have a bunch of returns ending up on their doorstep) is to describe items for sale in as much detail as possible.  The two things aren't compatible, and yeah AI has made a LOT of ebay sellers lazier than I thought possible.

Seems like we've barely even gotten started with AI, too.  Ugh.

The use of AI has become so common and it is used for a whole lot of things that people haven't even explored yet and this is actually a positive thing but the problem is that a lot of people tend to overdo or overuse Ai. This doesn't mean that people became lazy because of AI technology, but the AI makes our stressful tasks easier and faster. In the past people were using animals (horses donkeys...) to move from a place to another. After inventing motors and cars, traveling becomes easier and faster and much more secure. Do you think we become more lazy with cars or those animals became lazy as well.
With new technologies appears new challenges. AI will help get rid of thousands of stressful tasks. But this doesn't mean it should replace the human role in whole.

It's true that artificial intelligence has made some people lazy even though these tools are portrayed as bad, they are excellent in practice. Some people still use their own designs and creativity to do work, and it's clear that these works have truly gone into them, so I don't see much of a problem with that. It will simply be a matter of preference, and their differences will vary.

I dont know if the term lazy actually suit the message you are trying to pass but we all get the point though. But of a truth I don't think AI has come to make people lazy but rather it is part of the development that the society always undergoes and it's completely normal to see this sort of things happen. Ai advancement is here to make things a whole lot easier and believe even as it's this easy not everyone knows how to properly use AI some persons still use it for as a simple aid device for solving their assignments and asking for locations while the real adopters of the trend are using this technological advancement for making lots of cash and whether we all like it not it's just part of the technological advancement that the world is gonna embrace soon.

AI is a tool, that can help you save a lot of efforts and manual labor. It's like saying that tools and machines are making us lazy, because we don't work with our hands. I know that AI would most likely turn into an autonomous agent in the future, which means that it will make decisions and execute tasks on it's own. Yes, the usage of AI can make us lazy to a certain extent, but I also do believe that hard work is for the not-so-smart people. What matters the most are the results of your activities, not the amount of work you put in. If AI can help you achieve better results in less time, that's great. There's nothing wrong with being lazy, if you have the tools and agents, which can do the heavy lifting for you.

It really depends on your character, as there are always pros and cons to almost everything. Others use AI to improve their skills, gain insights, and so on, and that is one of the pros of AI. If you think you are becoming lazy, maybe it’s because you are becoming entirely dependent on AI, and that is one of its cons. It has not made them lazy bro. What are you saying? Has it sped up the process? If someone was taking one or two clients before, they are now taking double of that. Designers, programmers, everyone is using AI I myself am designing posters and managing media for some clients using Ai and it is not prohibited, we just need to ask or tell them that we are using it, and if they are fine, then we are good to use it.

Otherwise we need to use applications for the dedicated tasks. That software takes a lot of time, you can create a simple program, find mistakes in it, write content, or create infographics in no time using AI. It is not slowing us all down but the same time that we used to waste on these things is now being used in other things. Usually watching reels but still the time has been saved haha.

To make a comparison: Is there any architects drawing buildings with pen and paper? I would
say very few. Basic computer software enables this to be done quickly and arguably more accurately.

Lets take the OP's graphic design job. That used to be done with pieces of paper, illustrations and
drawings moved around a "canvas" or "work area" by hand to get the desired layout. Recently it was
done on computers with predominantly Adobe software. Now that Adobe software is able to "automatically"
edit and produce results. Next step is to cut out the Human factor, It wont need to take direction from
a Human, delete this, move that, select this area . . etc.

Try going back to designing an artwork by hand and see how far you get.
Its not lazyness, it just that the systems are offered and available so people are using them and blindly
following along.

I want to create a website for myself for a project I am doing ATM. I have created many websites in the
past but now AI can do it for me, just tell GoogleAI Studio what you want and it will create it.

I wouldnt know where to start to create a site with "FRONTPAGE" or "dreamweaver", Technology
moves on for better or worse.

The truth is we now live in a world that technology have become very visible and innovative, and Ai have literally made everything very easy for people, but I will not completely agree that it was a tool that made people lazy because Ai have been a help to people as well, there are most people who are naturally lazy, so what they do is become lazy even the more, I think some people are naturally lazy, so when they find something to help them more become lazy they will definitely have to take the opportunity, but I don’t think AI is the problem here, instead in think individuals are the biggest challenge and problem that people are having because of being naturally lazy.

I was watching this AI film where Wu Kong was fighting with Thanos on X. The video was made by seedance, it's an AI company that build that app. For 45 seconds, I couldn't tell if the video was real and was fake, lol and behold algorithm show me another post complaining how some Hollywood actors were complaining how AI is going to kill creativity in acting and I said no lies. This AI thing is getting out of hand, there should be some limitations.

The other months, it was an AI app that helps one bypassed KYC verification, that software was too perfect in the sense that I'm not sure if there is any anti AI detection out there that will stop that very soon. The team might have it but I doubt if they are going to allow such to destroy their years of development of the app. Creativity is what I fear, it will be zero if AI is been abuse and used for the things human should do, maybe even affect some peoples career.

I think having to use Ai in films companies is now making work become more easier and lessers expensive by the producers and the simple fact about this is that is really making actors become lazy and the truth of the matter is Ai isn’t something we should depend on when creating movies i feel it should be more real life stories, inspiretion motivations explanations and making look more realistic not some kinda weird joke, well it should not be a problem if it should be used in video editing but having to use AI in every scene that what should not be okay.

This action does not make you lazy.  This is just getting smart by using the available technology to ease out the task.

If you want to excel on graphic design, you still need to learn graphic design, the color combination, the type of sketch, and more.  Simply letting AI do your graphic work won't really give you the 100% result of what you wanted.

This is like using Photoshop instead of the usual handmade painting. Due to technological advancement, instead of manually creating or editing the image on Photoshop, we use AI to ease things out.  Although AI is awesome, it is still far from perfect.  We still need to do the finishing work to make the image meet what we actually wanted.

OP described that usage of AI made his job easier and he see not reason to put max effort because AI can replace most of his work. What is people were so lazy and fed up with, that they created AI to make it do job instead of them. There is such quote in Russian language as "Laziness is the engine of progress". It perfectly describes why and how AI appeared. A simple lever, that was invented more than 5000 BC - sometimes I think people have invented it because they were lazy to move heavy items themselves.

AI is occupying every sector and solving human tasks in a very short time. But we will all suffer more if we depend on AI. But not all types of designs can be done, so the help of experts must be taken. I think we should acquire skills and sometimes it will come in handy. In an increasingly sophisticated era like today, technology has provided too many conveniences and changes in human life. From my perspective, AI can have both positive and negative impacts on humans. On the other hand, AI can also make people overly dependent on technology, thus reducing the ability to think critically and creatively. So, if it is not balanced with wise use, it can make people lazy and less creative.

It all depends on the people using AI. If they use it as a partner or tool to improve the quality of their work, then this approach can be a positive thing. But if you use AI as the main weapon to completely take over your tasks, then you will slowly become increasingly lazy and become a problem for yourself in the long run. On the one hand, it can help increase efficiency and productivity, so that people who use it can complete their work with more creative results.
