The Bible may not be clear regarding the way the universe came into being... the actual way it happened. Yet truth for people doesn't really have anything to do with such clarity. People don't need to know the way that the universe came into being. Such knowledge doesn't make them live better lives.

The truth that gives people better lives is found in the first 5 books of the Bible - especially the laws given in Exodus and Leviticus. The truth is that if people followed these laws, life would be much better for them.

The greatest laws, which are stated in these 5 Bible books, are basically two:
1. Love God above all things;
2. Love your neighbor (fellow people) as yourself.
Jesus also said these two basic laws.

Jesus and John in the New Testament both express that Jesus is the Word of God... essentially the Bible. Fill your mind on the Bible, on Jesus, by reading the Bible and listening to narrated Bible CDs. Fill yourself on Jesus, the Son of God this way. Gradually you will find comfort and peace, even though the lies of the world tug at your mind, and give you turmoil rather than peace.

Cool

The Bible is an excellent example. We often view the books and meanings from our perspective in time, then apply meaning from our singular perspective *plural.
In those times knowledge was passed person to person verbally many times before being "recorded", then translated, then made cannon --retranslated --> rebranded -->and...
Ever heard of the telephone game?

Hinduism explains creation and destruction as part of the same cyclic (cyclical?) process. The Gnostic texts speak of the material world as the demiurge. The Old Testament speaks many times of God as ineffable, requiring emissaries to communicate with humans (Enoch as the Metatron/voice of god). New Testament attributes the actual words of Christ sparsely and then the disciples perspectives were... their perspectives with not all of the books being agreed upon as 1st hand perspectives.
I don't trust religion especially when used as a means to control or dehumanize us earthlings.
From my perspective anyone who truly believed in Jesus would not use god's name in service to "suffer the least of these" for earthly gains.

So what if we are all one infinite energy field experiencing existence from within these limited minds confined by short lived bodies?
Or infinite spirit? Or back to star-stuff without mind after our bodies cease to be? A speck of "dust back into dust" (Genesis 3:19).
Here we are creating new intelligences before we've even learned how to treat each other.

We are in an extra noisy time: so maybe it's back to the Tower of Babel  for us ;-)
No one even has to burn down the libraries of Alexandria if we no longer seek or value knowledge.

There 'used' to be more truth in forums than anywhere else. TikTok Miracle2aT  Spock: "I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring?"  INTJ-A

Had this convo yesterday with my friend. 2 main thoughts. 1. This is the "truth" but there is another one which is more hidden. 2. They don't care even if you know the hidden info:)
