Absolutely, if rules are enforced differently depending on who's involved individuals will naturally lose confidence in the society. Its also very important to make sure we are working with verified facts before drawing conclusions. Accountability and transparency should always come first whether its in sports politics or any other things.
Accountability is important as its the bridge that keeps people to trust the system, but once the rules bends and no one takes accountable of that, it breaks the trust as nobody will believe system again and won't abide to the rules, as they believed that the rules are to apply to whoever that go against them whether young or old, or rich or poor and its important just as you said for one to verify information before jumping to conclusions, that will help to avoid hurting the innocent ones instead of the bad ones.
You see the words they use to make such an excuse to bend the rules and you begin to hear I have a connection, Bribery, just to get things done faster, I feel the better we are at understanding so fast that the system bends not just from the top, but from pressure on every side. When everyone tries to game it, the rules get weak for everyone...and the top would now take advantage of such an opportunity to completely game the system with alot of Cutting Corners…
You made some point about trust Let's say a viral video of a government or ruler who is unjust and enjoys injustice can damage and destroy some years of hard work and good work in a second. Let Say people tend to act quickly to just 1 bad case rather than the 100 good things you have done…That human being for you…
