If there are people living like that then they should examine the way the animals live their life. They have no guarantee for justice when a follow animal bully them or even deny them off what is genuinely theirs. Animal kill animal and life goes on for them but that is not so in human society. In human society, life would have been 'solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short' if there were no laws  according to Thomas Hobbes. The social contract theory also supports this that a few people have been given the authority and power to lead, make laws and control the multitude of people for them to conform to rules and regulations made for the society to live above the animalistic nature of life being short and brutish like in the animal kingdom.

I completely agree with the idea that if there are no laws in a society, then it is difficult to survive; they are very necessary to function as a human society.  if there are no loss then exploitation and violence can prevail. But if you see in the history there were many societies that were functioning okay without any written laws.  I think that we cannot compare human beings with the animals, as human beings are more empathetic and loyal, and they can also resolve their conflict without any force or laws involved if they want to. Laws are there to protect the basic rights of human beings rather than running a society. Hobbes ' argument about life highlights the importance of order.
Those who have received power from the society also have the responsibility to use it fairly and equally because sometimes laws are there, but they are not implemented equally for everyone. This can also bring justice in the society.

There is definitely no way a society can survive without laws. A society is a group of people co habitting together and the oy way for them to live orderly, laws are important to be made.  I read some post on here, where some people claim that the law is meant only for the poor or weak in the society,  because they think that the law does not guide the rich and the influential. They might be right to an extent,  but they need to understand that it would have been worst if their is no lae at all. Gone are the days when the strong kills the weak and take over his things, thats because their were no law then, but with law in place now, it will not be easy for someone to act that way anymore, so I really think that laws keep society together.

Animal kingdom, that's what the society must have been before the introduction of laws. But has there actually been a time man lived without laws? I just feel that the law is evolving and we can only talk about laws getting stronger, better and more civilised. Right from creation, we had laws (based on the story from holy books), "do not eat this fruit". That was a law, but man disobeyed and got the consequences for his actions. There has always been laws, but civilization was minimal, the laws was controlled within a smaller sphere and consequences were just as a few people want it to be.

We are lucky to born in an era when laws are fully implemented in every country. Law is to be obeyed voluntarily if it makes sense. The only things that make true sense are to not harm your fellow people, to not damage any property that is not your own, and to not directly threaten anyone. The rest of it is only guidelines. For example, if a cop arrests you, and you have not harmed anyone, done any damage, or threatened anyone directly, then he has made a false arrest.

The 4th Amendment to the US Constitution talks about 'persons' that belong to you. If a cop uses your name on some arrest paperwork, he has made up a 'person' that is not you, and is trying to label you as that person.

But can he prove that you are that person? After all, that person is only legal paperwork. If it were you, then you have been made into a slave for some government people who make laws that they are trying to apply to living people even when there is no harm, damage, or threat involved.

The problem is that they use wording that is so tricky that they sell you on the idea that the government made person is really you. The thing that you always need to remember is, if it is a legal law being applied to you, it's not being applied to you. It is only being applied to some paperwork legal person that somebody gave a name and address like yours.

The only thing that counts is if you, man or woman, did some harm, damage, or threat. Make them prove that the paperwork person is really you. Does it bleed when they cut it with a knife? If it doesn't, then it's definitely not you.

Actually without law in the society there will be no freedom, the reason for this freedom is because of law. And No one wants to break the law. I have watched movie where there was no law, sincerely speaking it was bloody because someone will forcefully take what belongs to you, and you can't do anything because no one will come to your aid. Well the people or organisation that is supposed to hold those countries accountable have now become useless. If they decide to punish these big nations, the organisation might get defunded. Example is the current situation between ICC/ICJ and the United state government. We see the way top nations bullies the smaller one because they know nothing can happen to them. Your points on the justice on poor people is true. Take Nigeria as an example if a billionaire/politican son commits a huge crime like drug trafficking, they won't face harsh punishment instead they might just do small jail time and get release, because their parent have connections  and money. But if it's a poor person that does drug trafficking they could face life time in jail. I believe there a certain kind of people who are above the law . We the poor masses must oblige to it.
