I can see the bitcoin logo in your link is actually different from the one displayed on the topic, but if I may ask, who now rebranded the bitcoin logo? And what is the reason for the change of bitcoin logo.
The bitcoin logo that is used till now since 2010 is designed by bitboy which you can see in the thread above.
You can read about the history of bitcoin logo:
https://www.logodesign.org/the-history-of-the-bitcoin-logoSome people did not like the second Satoshi bitcoin logo but Satoshi welcome new idea. bitboy took it up and posted the logo later. Read this thread for you to see what I am talking about:

The icon/logo was meant to be good as an icon at the 16x16 and 20x20 pixel sizes. I think it's the best program icon, but there's room for improvement at larger sizes for a graphic for use on websites.
It'll be a lot simpler if authors could make their graphics public domain.
Thanks for clearing up the issue on public domain . Now I can release the graphics I have done into public domain.
Well if I may say though the first logo fully explained the word Bitcoin because it was a bold
BC still, I prefer the second. Basically it explains Bitcoin not only as a word but as something / digital technology that needs to be explored like a hidden potential that is waiting to be revealed. That said Bitcoin as a digital currency though it's just a digital code, but then the logo made it feel more realistic as a true digital currency that we can all see and identify.
Overall both the old and new logo serve as a great reminder as to where we started and where we are heading to Basically who knows The logo might even be changed again to something more attractive. So yeah as the Bitcoin technology keeps evolving so as all the little little details ... that's all for me....
