The most iconic figure in Bitcoin history is Satoshi,We all know this.

You may know that this man created Bitcoin and created a digital alternative to fiat currency for all the people of this world, However, Satoshi created the first Bitcoin logo/New icons on February 24, 2010,I truly feel like it was a historic day for Bitcoin that the Bitcoin Forum is celebrating today.

People have been using this logo ever since Satoshi created it.

And now the logo has been around for 16 years and counting.
It's definitely not been an easy journey for bitcoin over the years but all in all, it's all been worthwhile with an iconic logo that can never be confused for another even though most other logos are some kind of copy or replica of this one since it came out but they still can measure to it. The looks can actually work as an actual coin even.

I can see the bitcoin logo in your link is actually different from the one displayed on the topic, but if I may ask, who now  rebranded the bitcoin logo? And what is the reason for the change of bitcoin logo.
Bitcoin is a very unique digital currency and the creator Satoshi Nakamoto designed the logo in a very unique way, I feel they would have left the logo the way it was originally designed instead of tampering with it.

Developers don't care how you feel when there is a need to make changes or improvements to Bitcoin, regardless of how unique the previous logo was, there will definitely be frequent changes although it may not be so frequent since it requires breaking some code to qualify for the change.

The newer version will definitely always add new vibes to the existing logo's look, read the link across included in his comments, and you will understand better.

Like someone already answered, that was the first Bitcoin logo but it has been changed. Assuming you followed the pumpkin contest thread or skme of the contest hosted in this local board, you would have seen the latest logo of Bitcoin as it was visible in most of those contests. Today is still symbolic because Satoshi made a post about Bitcoin logo today.

The bitcoin logo that is used till now since 2010 is designed by bitboy which you can see in the thread above.

I'm happy if someone with artistic skill wants to contribute alternatives.  The icon/logo was meant to be good as an icon at the 16x16 and 20x20 pixel sizes.  I think it's the best program icon, but there's room for improvement at larger sizes for a graphic for use on websites.

It'll be a lot simpler if authors could make their graphics public domain.
