What is your impression about female gamblers?

There is this general impression about gambling that if you tell anyone that you gamble the first thing that comes to their mind is addicted gambling and then they start throwing advice and all of that. But when people see a female gambler they act as though something is wrong with what they're seeing. And it seems to me like society has painted it that way that female aren't supposed to gamble or engage in things that are related to betting, and it's possible they see female gamblers as irresponsible people.
Personally I don't think gambling addiction has the slightest chance or getting into my life because I don't see gamble like the way those addicts sees it besides I don't gamble always.
So this draws me to my question, what do you think about female gamblers? Have you encountered a female gambling addict? Do you think they have better financial management skills than men?

Nothing special, Greed and weakness towards money are present in everyone. Men can control themselves in many areas but women are more emotional so once they get addicted to gambling it can become very dangerous for them. Although female gamblers are not very common, women gamble much less than men. This may be because women are more sensitive to money. However, girls are more emotional, so if a girl is addicted to gambling, it can be even more serious than a boy's addiction.

I have no bad impression about seeing women Gamble, the same thing that is tied to us being a gambler also applies to them to make them gamble and have fun, the only most important thing is to ensure that they can afford gambling and then understand the risk that is in it, but aside this, gambling is an entertainment which everyone should have access to play games and enjoying themselves irrespective of the gender.

Gamblers are gamblers IMO. Gender doesn't really matter as both sexes have or can have addictive personalities and that's what it's all about. I have played poker with quite a few women and most of them are just like the guys, they are there to have a good time and win money. Doesn't have to be about addiction.

Yes, I did encountered many of them and there is no problem with that. Why people think that there's a difference between male and female gamblers? While it's a male dominated activity but it doesn't restrict women to gamble. As for the financial management skills, this is really depending on each of us, both male and female. The issue is about on how we manage our money and how we're putting a budget when we gamble. And if there are stories of how reckless male gamblers are, it's possible that there are the same stories with female gamblers.

I don’t think it’s really about gender. Gambling behavior is usually more tied to personality traits, risk tolerance and environment than whether someone is male or female. Research generally shows men gamble more frequently and take higher financial risks but addiction risk isn’t exclusive to either gender. The bigger factor tends to be how someone manages money and emotions, not who they are.

Of course, women can gamble too, and I've seen women who are better gamblers. We can see this among broadcasters who open up the broadcast and in social life as well. Women don't approach things emotionally like we do. We might think our team will win and score lots of goals, but women approach the situation a bit more logically. An emotional approach to gambling leads to losing more money than a logical approach. I also think women manage the household finances better. They are really good at some things, and we have to accept that.

I have seen a core woman drunkard or even smokers all around, same thing with gambling, is not sex based as much as men can do so also the opposite sex we don't have gender separation in activities as regards to social habits, both the negatives and the positives, so we cnt say that gambling is a man thing that is a wrong assumption.

Nah, they don't.
They are genders that are loyal to their feelings, and so they can literally sell off properties for gambling if their feelings says it, there had been numerous cases where women caused chaos in the family and even family financial collapse. It does happen and so it's never advisable to let a woman start gambling and even taking illicit drugs too as well, they gets to the very addictive point that they find it hard to return back to normalcy.

Women are not logical beings, and gambling especially predicting in football matches are logical structures, so these women are often get their predictions from men, they only take what men predicts and go with it.

So the problem should be blamed on men who continue giving them predictions, they are ruining their life.

Are female gamblers not also humans?They have the right to enjoy the entertainment that gambling has to offer and that's why if you visit a live casino center you would see lots of them and some of them even play better than some males. I have seen those who bet on online platforms too and they experience same thing, same emotions also as the male counterparts, but when it comes to financial management, both can be lousy when it comes to gambling activities and as much as their finances is concerned.
I believe men take bigger risk as compared to the females in gambling and I am not sure females can also brag about having a better financial discipline than the males too.

Before I had the mindset that gambling is not for women, I think many people had such mindset but over time,  such mindset have changed tremendously. Now I see female gamblers as strong people, people who are hardened and can endure tough situations.  However, i wouldn't want my wife to be a gambler because I dont have the confidence that she will be able to control her gambling to avoid sliding into addiction which is know will impact negatively on the family. Hence, I would prefer one of the partner gamble and mot both.

I think there's no need for the gender comparison because whatever thing that's applicable to one, is applicable to all gender or no gender. I know that some things that are basically meant for a particular gender have been recycling around both simply because they've always believed in the saying that what a man can do a woman can do and all that. I believe that's the perspective the female gender are using to involve in some activities as such.

TBH, there is indeed a stigma in non-gamba communities towards gamblers—from what I've seen. A lot can think you're addicted or it's only a matter of time before you drain your savings and/or get into big debt lol. But it has nothing to do with gender, just plain gambling stigma.

Personally, I haven't seen any gender discrimination yet. I'm not saying they don't exist though. I would like to believe it's not as common.

Anybody can be called a gambler as long as they are interested to have fun playing games on the casino, there's no gender discrimination of who to gamble and not, it's just happened that we have only fewer females interested in gambling, because in general, women don't like gambling because of the risk that is associated in doing so as they have to spend their money to gamble, but I said that, in as much as they understand what gambling is an can take the risk, this should be allowed to gamble and enjoy themselves having fun the same way every man does.

The truth is that lot of females had been too lazy to work for their money instead they rely on billing their men or guardians. Though I'm referencing to this end where females are more reluctant to hustle and wish life is just soft and easy going for them unlike the men who're like born hard to face the risks of life.
So it usually turns eye brows when see a woman gambling at this end, a lot like "SHE HAS THE COURAGE" to face the risks of gambling without undermining what people around who fails to understand the true adventure of what gambling is will begin to ring bells with questionable if she really know what she's doing? Or poverty had really pushed her this far? Because some people off gambling do actually feels gambling is an irresponsible even and even as that, it's for the strong hearted which any woman find gambling will be regarded as one with a strong heart because the public mentality is that only strong minded people gambles without knowing there're actually people who plays for fun and not for profits.

Society has a double standard when it comes to female gamblers. For example,  when a man goes to gamble,  he might be warned about getting addicted to it. But, it does not bother people because they think it is okay and totally normal. But, when a woman goes to gamble,  society assumes she is doing something bad and is being irresponsible. This is not fair to women.

To me,  I just think it is all about personal choice to gamble and it is not a gender issue. Each individual has to be responsible and not whether the person is a man or woman. The fact is that anyone can develop bad habits if that person truly lacks discipline. But if you set a limit and have enough self control then you can do it responsibly.

I still do not believe that people actually think that one gender automatically has better financial management skills than the other gender. It is really just about your mindset,  how you budget yourself,  and self control. I have seen responsible men and also women that are responsible too and I have seen the exact opposite.

See at the end of the day.  What is more important is how a person manages risk and not about whether  you are a  man or a woman.

The freedom of doing anything in terms of entertainment is the right of each individual and not subject to gender differences in the society. In my opinion, the motivation of a person concerning playing is sometimes subjective and cannot be evaluated through the social standards that are accepted in general. We must respect individual choices of every individual provided that they make their choice willingly and voluntarily and are not compelled by any side. I also subscribe to the notion that, as long as it is aimed at achieving pleasure, then the activities can be included in our right to happiness.

There is one near us and a few more in other areas of our community. With how they bet, they are no different from men. In fact, the one near us is even worse. She is more irresponsible than the other men who gamble here. She has gotten into debt many times and even had to use her farm with crops as collateral, as well as her ATM card, just to get funds. It just shows that once you get addicted, whether you are male or female, there isn’t much difference.
