Anybody can be called a gambler as long as they are interested to have fun playing games on the casino, there's no gender discrimination of who to gamble and not, it's just happened that we have only fewer females interested in gambling, because in general, women don't like gambling because of the risk that is associated in doing so as they have to spend their money to gamble, but I said that, in as much as they understand what gambling is an can take the risk, this should be allowed to gamble and enjoy themselves having fun the same way every man does.

Gambling is Gambling he doesn't matter if a boy or female is playing it anything that will happen to a boy will still repeat in female too, as for me have not seen a female gambler before but I just always hear that they are betting even do better then some people. But the way that gambling have risk a female can't go through such challenges because most can't take risk and will like more money but they can't used there money to risk. But if a female that is watching football can just play as and entertainment but won't play for profit because they can't take the risk boys are taking in gambling.

Well I have met or encounters a female Gambler but not sure if she was an addict or not. But I believe her to be a normal Gambler. Talking about financial management, the female gender are very good at that, although not all but some Or most of them.

In this present day, there have been this stereotype that has been placed in anyone that gamble.... Apart from the fact that you are seen as an addict, folks that gamble are usually seen as irresponsible and useless... And the worst of it all is when a gambler happens to be a female probably with kids and all of that... There have really been a whole lot of misconceptions about gambling, and this misconceptions may make it even very difficult for one to tell the whole world that they gamble... As for the question that the OP asked, well I have seen quite a few female gamblers during my university days.. Me and them weren't really close, so I couldn't tell if they had good financial management skill or not... But then I still doubt their financial management skill coz most of the friends of these ladies were males who were also gamblers.. And this guy's were kinda reckless when it comes to wasting and using money on irrelevant things...

I have played poker with quite a few women and most of them are just like the guys, they are there to have a good time and win money. Doesn't have to be about addiction.

Yeah, it doesn't matter who the gambler is. There is nothing special about seeing a female gambling, and there is nothing to be impressed about. Both of the gender are at risk of being addictive and having mental health issues, most especially if they failed to ignore the benefial principles of gambling. Some women are even good in gambling than some men, women are not weakling, despite the risk involved in gambling, they will be ready to endure the loss and every challenges, but can they actually prevent themselves from being emotional? Ah, I understand because in some circumstances, women who take care of the household and do not have their own income will definitely be viewed as strange if they gamble. But I personally have my own income, and here there are many career women who gamble. Maybe for some people it's strange, but pleasure is not only enjoyed by men. Women also enjoy it. However, in my country, gambling isn't done openly. So, whether it's women or men, it's still hard to tell if they gamble or not. But when it comes to financial management, I think it's the same. Some women are quite careless, while others are quite capable. The same goes for men, right?

If i recall correctly around 80% of physical casinos revenue comes from slot machines, and majority of slot machine players are women.
But i remember a study as well where men are overwhelmingly more likely to become addicts (this doesn't mean women couldn't be gambling addicts).

Playing more slots doesn't tell us if women are taking more or less risks, because you can play slot machines without taking risks. And that data doesn't tell us anything about their financial management skills either, because we don't know their budget and if they are playing with pocket money.

I have seen women putting their coins for machines several hours a day, but i have seen men to do that as well. But honestly i thought they were addicted to social aspect of it, and having an excuse to go out.

Gambling has always been marketed more toward men so people got used to seeing it as a male thing but that doesn’t mean women don’t enjoy it or can’t make their own choices. If a woman has her own income and wants to gamble responsibly I don’t see how that’s any different from a man doing the same thing. The addiction argument is also not gender specific. I’ve seen men lose everything to gambling and I’ve also seen women struggle with it. Addiction doesn’t really care if you’re male or female. It comes down to personality self control and situation not gender.

As for financial management, it depends on the individual. Some women are very disciplined with money some aren’t. Same with men. I don’t think one gender is naturally better at handling gambling money. It’s more about mindset and boundaries.

In my area (where I live), it is difficult to find a woman as a gambler, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Gambling is very closed here and gamblers are not used to gambling in just any place, not only because of the law which has an illegal status, but also because of high morality. A gambler (who is known to be addicted to gambling) will experience 2 negative impacts from society, firstly it is difficult to gain trust and secondly it will be considered to have bad morals.

Basically, gambling does not limit gender, but in some countries with high morality, you will find it difficult to find female gamblers. Legal and religious prohibitions also play a major role in why it is difficult to find female gamblers in my area, so even if I did find one, the same impression would inevitably follow.

There are cases and cases. I have good examples on how to gamble coming from women, and also bad ones. It's not accurate to judge someone based on gender exclusively, but I think there is a natural tendency women can be more impulsive than men, therefore, it's more likely they become problem gamblers, statistically speaking. Especially nowadays, with accessible and easy gambling on the internet and mobile devices.

What I would pay attention to in order to stay away is if the woman who is engaged with gambling comes from a culture where it's a rule for the man to provide her on all her needs. It signs a serious red flag, because it's likely she will cause prejudice to close people.

How does this work?  How is Gamblers usually seen as irresponsible a misconception but you doubt the financial management skills of women Gamblers because they were friends with other Gamblers who were reck less?

Gamblers are usually seen this way because they ARE irresponsible and reck less.  I do not know if I can name five people who are responsible Gamblers and are not throwing most of their Money at Casinos, beer or prostitutes in reck less sprees.  It is not a misconception.  It is most of the time very much the reality.

I'm a woman and I admit that women who gamble are great! I'm talking about strategies and even intuition; many times we feel that luck isn't on our side and we avoid gambling. The number of women is increasing over time, but I think this may be the main reason behind the low tendency of women to gamble, for example, a man is usually more patient than women and has the ability to take high stress, we do not know what the results of gambling can be, the results of gambling are unpredictable. So gambling increases the mental stress in a gambler and it is not possible for a woman to take so much stress. Another thing is that any person's greed increases by winning or losing while gambling, but women become more emotional than men, which increases the risk of losing money. So naturally, the number of men is much higher than women.

OP, your thoughts are not wrong though. In my country where I come from, any female seeing gambling is been tagged as careless and irresponsible and would never be identified with in the society. So this made the females stay away from anything gambling and even if they do, they do it closely so that nobody can be able to detect them. This is how it is over here but I believe the narrative is quite different in the west because the females over there have much freedom compared to where I am from so it is nothing big to see a lady gamble.

Nothing special, Greed and weakness towards money are present in everyone. Men can control themselves in many areas but women are more emotional so once they get addicted to gambling it can become very dangerous for them. Although female gamblers are not very common, women gamble much less than men. This may be because women are more sensitive to money. However, girls are more emotional, so if a girl is addicted to gambling, it can be even more serious than a boy's addiction.

Well female gambler of a truth are seen differently,  because even the men that gambles are seen as Inresponsible people not to talk of a lady involved in gambling. She won't be respected no matter how decent and she beautiful and intelligent she is. Mostly in this part of the world where I am, women are seen as weaker people that should not be seen doing some certain things.
I also think it not ideal for a woman to be involved in gambling because this can tarnish her image and make here look worthless in the general public combined with the fact that women are emotional in nature compared to men, and can be easily strapped into gambling addiction.

To me there’s nothing bad there if female involve themselves in gambling they said that what a man can do a woman can do much better, this life we’re living in now it has reach a stage that both men’s and women are struggling just to survive.
