I want to know from your real experience, do you keep a separate gambling budget? Or do you manage everything together?

I have a monthly gambling budget to control my gambling activities. I might end up gambling with money budgeted for important things if I don't have a separate account for gambling. I have decided to separate my gambling funds from others when I mistakenly gamble with money I was to use to pay for electricity. It was a bad experience that I don't want to repeat. It will take a high level of discipline to control gambling activities without a gambling budget.

Even if we do gamble for fun it don't mean that we can't manage because money management matters alot and once everything is been mix up together it won't be easy to notice if you're overstepping your limits and that's where the problems comes in. Keeping separate money to gamble or anything do help but it will only be of help when you have the awareness and also disciplined, it don't mean that you're an addict when it comes to gambling what it does is for you to be in control of yourself.

But once you know exactly what you can afford to lose then it can be able to reduce the regrets and stress you will go through it's just a little habit but it do make a very big difference when you manage how you use money on gambling which will help preventing you to be an addict

My gambling budget comes from my weekly payment which I will either allocate some amount for gambling and withdraw the remaining amount for other purposes, it's not like that all the time because there are some weeks I might not make withdrawal of the weekly payment and during those times, I manage every funds on my balance together but I don't go against my the amount I intend gambling with, if the urge is getting too much to be resisted, I will withdraw the money to another place where I won't have to gamble with it effortlessly.

Budgeting in gambling can make you feel comfortable and not given your self pressure In it. Because you're not Betting with money that you can lose and if he cut you won't feel worry of losing money. So anything you're doing and you Budgeting things will go smoothly then just gambling without control and that make you become addicted to gambling and you'll start to chase your loses and that is how your things won't go as plan anymore so you just need to think wisely i do the right things. Setting a limit for each fund allocated to each activity is necessary because that is what saves you, and it is also called financial management.
Gamblers who do not set limits on their money will only realize when everything is gone, but gamblers who set limits on their money for specific purposes, including regular gambling, are more likely to be saved, even though the amount of money they have spent on gambling is not insignificant.
I gamble when I want to, within the limits I have set. It has been this way until now.

Its not a new thing in the gambling world and it depends on how the gambler wish to manage his gambling funds. It's good to plan and when it comes to finances, budgeting is very important. You must be able to tell yourself that this is the particular amount of funds you wish to use for your gambling activities and when it's exhausted, you simply call it a wrapp. If you have a monthly total budget that's split into portions, the you should stick to it and avoid topping it up. This way you aren't only controlling how much you risk gambling, you are also controlling your emotions I way that would help you alot in the future..

Whether you gamble for fun or for money, you should always have a designated budget. Otherwise, you'll be stuck in the same uncontrolled cycle, regardless of your purpose for betting. Gambling for fun doesn't make you any less likely to ruin your life or be irresponsible. In both cases, you simply need a budget that, as we've repeated time and again here, you can afford to exceed.

I calculate all my bets, but all my money in one pocket. But i`m not gambling man and play only for profit. So it is not a problem to calculate money, i can`t say that i`m out of limits.
But when i play for fun(mostly in offline casinos), i set two limits - money limit and time limit. When i reach one of it - i stop. It`s a rule that i never break. Money still in the one pocket.

Gambling is very important to manage gambling by setting time and money to reduce the extra risk. If we keep gambling without setting money or time, then it will be relatively difficult to control our emotions after winning or losing, as a result, it will not be possible to stay within our limits, as a result, the risk of losing money increases manifold and at some point it can become a gambling addiction. Therefore, it is better to gamble by setting time and money before gambling. It is relatively better to keep our gambling money separate as much as we can.

I must say this, Even if you are gambling for fun or for entertainment you need to keep track of spending, because not keeping track of your spending while gambling is just as good as you are gambling recklessly, And it can removes awareness. and once awareness is gone control can easily go with it. And this is what most people who gambling for fun or for entertainment don't know.

As for me, I always keep track of spending whenever I am gambling, and why I always do it that way is because, there are times I don't set a specific budget for gambling, I can go into a gambling hall and start gambling, or I can log into one of gambling app and start gambling without having a specific budget for that day gambling.  And I don't have a specific Day for gambling except weekends, but I don't gambling every weekend.

Budgeting for gambling means that you are taking gambling seriously. And because of this, you will have a lot more attraction to gambling. So I think it is important to convince yourself that gambling should not be played for a long time or regularly, rather than making a special budget for gambling. If you gamble regularly, it will be a big cause of addiction and it will become normal to make big losses. I think thinking about gambling specifically means considering gambling as an important thing in life.

I consider gambling a form of entertainment and I allocate a portion of my income for entertainment. If you do not allocate a certain amount of funds for gambling or do not allocate a budget, you will not be able to control yourself when gambling. To prevent gambling addiction, you need to limit your money allocation to a certain level.
Although gambling is for entertainment, many gamblers gamble to make money, which results in them losing excessive amounts of money and becoming more out of control if they do not set financial limits.

Budgeting is very good for all day to day living and it's essential to do this as a life style as it regulates expenses and flow of money.
Many people gamble for fun while others do it for business, no matter what you are doing this it for, it is good  to have budgets with limit to what you can loss while gambling, and it must be with self control which is most important, because one can decide to keep some funds as budget and without self control can still loss it when there is lack of self control with pressure of recovering what was lost..

I gamble only with the tiniest amount possible because to me, gambling is more about feeling the entertainment rather than feeling your wallet get empty quickly. So If you stretch it out as much as you can it lasts longer...

Make a plan, make a budget and make some rules. A little bit of self-discipline and the finances will be happy.

Some people do not earn enough to be able to keep a separate budget for gambling, this is why they do not. There is also the mindset that there are better things to reserve money for not for gambling.
Also, it requires some level of organization to be able to be to even organize yourself in gambling, many people do not have this sort of organization.

I was finding my Stake account with $5 weekly before, but recently I changed it to $10 every week. I gamble with just the little amount of money and I do not care and not affected if I lost all the weekly $10 because I can afford to lose it. I do not keep separate gambling fund but I am not using more than the percentage that I want to use for gambling, and the money is on my account on the gambling site which is my gambling budget.

How helpful have that been for you, I can see from your experience as explained gambling with such low weekly budget actually gives you satisfaction, let me realistic with ourselves right now, $10 use to be enough for me in the past, but this days I found myself gambling and exusting that amount within second, and if you ask me how my experience have been, then I will say worst than what it used to be when I was heavily gambling with high amount.

I don't keep gambling fund separately, I manage my gambling fund as I wish. After investing on Bitcoin and setting aside emergency and reserve fund, the reserved fund can be used for gambling and other expenses that comes after the main priority has been met. I make sure Gambling fund is not a priority rather something I might or might not put into consideration. A person gambling for fun should gamble with his discretion fund and not an amount meant for an important thing, otherwise it will result to loss of important fund.

I believe self-discipline and control are more important than having a designated fun budget, but for most of us, the designated fun budget helps us exercise self-discipline.  It is much easier to be disciplined when you see one particular "fun" pile of money will allow you to spend or use that amount of money for gambling, than it is to look at your entire life savings, and convince yourself that you will "stop eventually."

There isn't mistery about this. You just have to calculate how much from your total monthly income you can spend with gambling. How much is it going to be, 5%, 10%, 15%? Once you reach to this conclusion, you will know exactly how much you can deposit at casinos along the month. In financial management, precision is key and such precision comes with separation of concerns. If you keep all funds together, you'll likely make mistakes, the best way of keeping track of money is to separate it with respect to it's expense category and keep it in different accounts and wallets if needs be. That way you'll be able to control your spending right from when it arrived and utilize every find for it's purpose, including ensuring you spend only your gambling budget on the casino.
