I have personally noticed one thing. Those who gamble just for fun also get into trouble at sometime just because they don't keep track of their money. Those of us who invest or trade or even try to keep separate funds for daily living expenses. But there are many who don't feel the need to keep separate funds for gambling. I didn't keep funds at first. Later I noticed that my gambling limits were being exceeded because of not keeping funds separate. Even though I gamble for fun, I try to keep separate funds.
I want to know from your real experience, do you keep a separate gambling budget? Or do you manage everything together?
Separate a funds for gambling activity that is having gambling budget is very important because it helps you control your spending, as a gambler you need to set budget for yourself so that You will not be spending far above your income and it also helps control the time spent in gambling and avoid one from being addicted.

I keep a budget for gambling. Seperately. How can I control my gambling expenses? It's actually simple and yet might be tough for others. It will depend on the status of a person. What I do is just take the gambling budget out of my salary and then give the remaining to my wife. That way, I won't even have the urge to deposit more because I don't have the money on me. If I want to gamble more after the budget is depleted, I will have to tell my wife first, and it's possible that I won't do it because I will be too scared to ask. Yeah, that way, I am making her happy, and I am keeping my gambling budget on track. Two birds on one stone.

Gambling has no room for for financial upkeep in my wallet, even when I was heavily gambling or when I have finally stopped. It sounds abnormal to create a wallet for gambling only, it's just look as if power is been handled to gambling and so every opportunity addiction has, it should bestow on us.

If you give a specific budget in gambling, you will have the opportunity to control yourself in gambling. If you give a specific budget per month, when that budget is exhausted, you will be able to take the opportunity to refrain from gambling. But if you participate in gambling without giving a budget, then for some reason if your balance runs out, you will have to reload the balance, so you will not be able to refrain from gambling. If you have a specific budget per month and if that budget runs out, you do not reload a second time, you will be able to easily refrain from gambling. That is why a budget is definitely important in gambling and it should be done for every gambler.

Gambling budgeting is part of being a responsible gambler, whether you play for fun or not. Without it, you’ll soon realize you’re not gambling for fun anymore because it has already exceeded what you can afford to lose. A good budget shouldn’t exceed 50% of what’s left from your salary after paying all your bills. Still, it’s better to keep most of it as savings. Around 10% to 20% of what’s left from your salary is more than enough if you’re just playing for fun, or whatever you call it.

I don’t separate my gambling anymore but in the past I do this since I struggle a lot on money allocation. I just knew what my set limit for gambling bankroll and deposit it in disciplined manner. Experience will teach us a lot to this naturally without sacrificing your fun experience on gambling. Having fun doesn’t mean you don’t have control on bankroll. Not having fun is what’s the best thing to do on gambling because it’s main purpose why someone gamble is to get entertainment.

~snip~ I want to know from your real experience, do you keep a separate gambling budget? Or do you manage everything together?
Yes, I separate my gambling budget from my daily expenses, but I never track how much I have already won or lost from gambling. For example, I set aside $100 each month for gambling and each day I can spend around $5 to $10. With this budgeting system, I can satisfy my urge to gamble without afraid it will disturb my main capital. However, sometimes greed still appears when I become overconfident and when I am on a winning streak and feel like I know the team very well, I don’t think twice about which team to bet on.

Nah, ever since I gambled online or in crypto base platforms, I don't write everything down or have gambling budget. My reason is that it just complicate things for me. I will just have a mental picture of how much money I spend, win/loss and that's it. If I feel that I'm getting out of bounds with my gambling and the money, then I step back and reset everything and maybe just bet on a few sports and see how it goes. But I have nothing against those who want to have a budget laid out for their gambling activity. Maybe it's better for them, but for me, I don't and besides, you can even check it out on the gambling platform as they have all the records of your betting history.

Budgeting the amount used for gambling is a nice idea and a smart move for financial discipline especially when it comes to gamble which could entirely make you to spend more if you don't discipline yourself. Discipline in gamble doesn't just end by Budgeting yourself you also have to make sure you work with the budget perhaps the money got finished you discipline yourself to say no? That discipline to say no is priceless and the only thing that separates an addict from a discipline gambler. It’s quite unfortunate h9w some persons would set budgets for themselves and still override it.

I believed that all my betting history was stored in my head, and that was sufficient because online and crypto platforms now demonstrate the history of the entire bet. There was no need to develop a separate gambling budget. However, as time went on I realised that a mental estimate is not always accurate. Minor defeats are accumulated silently and victories lead to a deception of power. Today, I like to allocate a set sum that I use exclusively to gamble, money that I am not at all afraid of losing. Once it's gone, I stop. It does not need to be sophisticated, but a demarcation line is beneficial. In my case, I still separate gambling as entertainment and nothing more.

Separate a funds for gambling activity that is having gambling budget is very important because it helps you control your spending, as a gambler you need to set budget for yourself so that You will not be spending far above your income and it also helps control the time spent in gambling and avoid one from being addicted. In my case, I need to maintain a separate gambling budget. But I started to confound my gambling funds with my normal bills and I was not even aware that I was accumulating little losses very fast. It was more difficult to follow my real expenditures. After I developed a fixed budget that was dedicated to gambling, things were so much controlled and I no longer felt stressed. I use it as entertainment money just as I would use it on movies or going out to eat. And when the budget is completed I just quit. Attaching funds will also help guard the everyday living and avoid emotional decision-making that will result in larger financial issues.

Not separating your funds can be very problematic. So even when folks are gambling for fun, it is still important that they keep a separate fund for gambling... This is coz having a separate fund Helo folks create a boundary and also enable them to be able to track their gambling spending and know whether they are over gambling or not... And it is important that folks stops gambling and leave it for next time one they exhaust their budget. They should very well avoid trying to top up from money meant for their daily needs and expenses..

Budgeting is very important in whatever we do. And when it comes to gambling, it very much important because it makes to know your limit and as well not to exceed it. Those who gamble without budgeting are likely to spend more and don't take record of their gambling expenditure. Though, this also depends on the rate at which someone gamble. As for me, I don't really take it very serious to track my gambling expenditure, the reason is because am not a high staker and I don't gamble everyday. There are sometimes I will stay more than a month without gambling, but for those who gamble regularly there is need to make budget and ensure you only gamble within your budget to ensure responsibility and avoid gambling addiction.

I don't for the simple funny reason that gambling and budgeting are not seen often in the same sentence. Of course when I used to gamble a lot I thought that I was setting aside some money from gambling but exactly that amount once lost I kept depositing money and one time even the very same casino stopped me after ten consecutive deposits telling me to take a break and call it a day. They said explicitly that come back after a few days. So maybe budgeting can help if you keep money budgeting apps which I start from 1 March to keep track of all my wife expenses .

Setting Aside some budget just for Gambling which is not needed anywhere else in your life is a great thing ( after not gambling) because if you have to gamble and you do it with unrestricted Amount of money then it is certain you are going to lose All / Most of It. Setting aside a fund just for Gambling which you are ready to lose and do not expect anything in return then it is the only way a person can be happy with gambling because most of the gamblers ( 99%) lose their money to casinos. A better way is to budget for DCA, set aside unwanted/ unneeded money (discretionary fund) and invest weekly in BTC. This way all your stash doesn't go to 0$ and you earn great % rewards

Keeping everything (funds) together as a gambler can be very complicating and confusing, regardless how much you try to be more careful in your gambling streak you might mistakenly or unknowningly deep above your limit and of which it wouldn't be proper doing that, so it is more safer making your budget separately so as to enable one to know when he have reached his gambling limit and not to exceed it . However, gambling is more fun when you are able to monitor and give a proper accountability of your gambling spendings hence you gamble recklessly and live to regret it .

I do not keep a separate fund like a saving money for gambling, but I allocate funds for a gambling session. When that fund gets depleted, I stop until my next fund gets in. If I hit my target winnings, I withdraw and merge the withdrawn fund to my savings and stop gambling until I have my wages come in and allocate part of those wages to my gambling session and this cycle repeats. With this kind of strategy, I am able to gamble regularly without compromising my savings and monthly budget.

I believe that gambling and budgeting would go hand in hand though it may seem ironical to many. In my case, it is not about whether you bet to have fun or to win money, but whether you keep a record of how much you bet. When you don’t segregate the money, then it is quite easy to pursue the losses and continue depositing as you said. I have also been taught that a given gambling budget which I can afford the loss is a way of staying on track. Once it's gone, I stop. No extra deposits. Budgeting applications may be of great help in terms of awareness. Ultimately, it is the control rather than intent that counts as far as responsible gambling is concerned.

At first, I didn’t have a separate budget for gambling. But I made mistakes in gambling that caused all my money to be spent on it. There was no game control, no financial management. All the money in the bank ended up being spent and gone. Now, I don’t do that anymore. There is a limited allocation for gambling funds, which is better and should indeed be done by gamblers from the start when they begin gambling. But we know, many beginner gamblers don’t think about managing their finances well, like I did, only realizing it after facing the problems.

Since I mostly gambling on crypto casinos, of course I have separated gambling budget because all the other money is stored in bank account while the gambling fund is stored on my crytpo wallet which is also separated from my budget for trading and holding. This way, it helps me to manage my money better especially for gambling although I have to be honest that sometime I use the fund for holding to gambling but I do not take it too much.
