I have seen this topic on here quite a bit but I wouldn't ever argue that it shouldn't be in our field of vision and frame of mind at all times when partaking in gambling activities. Once one loses sight of ones budget they spend without cease and with extreme lack of taste. Something like a horse who can't see where its going or a boat that has no compass in the middle of the ocean is the same way a gambler wanders aimlessly in the sea of bad decisions!

Those who gamble for fun does not mean that they will lose track of their funds. Most of them gamble for fun using the extra money left in their wallet. Only few might have been gambling not minding their expenses, otherwise it won't be fun at all after.

But personally, I do not go gambling if I never separate first my budget.  I have to allocate funds first for my unpaid bills and home allowance, and then some extra money will be reserved for gambling. That way, losses will not be painful, but of course I always hope to win and hit decent amount after betting.

Yes, you are right. We should have separate bankrolls for each task. Many people thought that bankroll was a new name for gambling. But in reality, bankroll means a specific amount of money to complete a task.

If we want to keep a complete account of our money correctly, then it will be very easy to keep an account through bankroll. It becomes very easy to keep an account of any matter through this bankroll. An account of how much profit or loss was made while gambling can also be easily calculated. So it is good to use bankroll for any task.

I think somebody that has a good bankroll management habit with his daily living in other matters of financial life would transfer it into his gambling life too. It's nothing too tough to make, just be deliberate about it, just a percentage not to go above irrespective of the outcomes.  Since gambling is quite a risky activity with no guarantee of making a return it should be where we make serious and dispense a strong managerial habit with how we spend our funds when gambling.

Luck determines nearly everything in gambling, i don't even like to use the term "professional" in gambling, because it could be deceiving and cause people to believe they are experts and throw caution to the wind, lol. Professionals in any field or industry do not rely on luck to get by, but we all understand how much gambling wins are all reliant on luck, so can there be professionals in this field.

I put myself under check so that I do not exceed my gambling limits because if not, I might likely be heading to recover my losses, but with my budget, I am guided and would stick to my gambling time and call it a day when I finish up my budget. Those of us who invest or trade or even try to keep separate funds for daily living expenses. But there are many who don't feel the need to keep separate funds for gambling. Of course I keep a separate budget for gambling because it is very important to have a separate budget for gambling. I always use 1% to a maximum of 5% of my income for my gambling. I do not use more than that for my gambling. If I do not budget my entire income for gambling and use my entire income budget for gambling, then my gambling will become random and there will be no accounting for how much money I am using for gambling. When a specific budget is set aside for gambling, then of course gambling will be for entertainment because when the specific budget is exhausted, we will stop gambling and if a specific budget is not set for gambling, then we will continue to gamble continuously until one day we see that the entire part of our income has been used for gambling.

The most important thing is to make sure you have limits and try as much as possible not to cross them just like what you are already doing. Budget isn’t really my strong suit when it comes to gambling, I don’t do it because I don’t deposit huge amount (I’ve already mentioned this in my previous posts), but the one thing I make sure I don’t forget is to set limit, how much am I not allowed to cross? What duration am I playing for? What’s the amount I’ll win before I withdraw? What factors should I consider before ending that session. This helps me more than allocating a specific amount to my gambling activities.

Gambling isn’t a compulsory activity so me allocating or budgeting for it makes it feel that way, and that’s not something I want to do when I have more important things to do.

It's never going to stop as long as there are still people who don't take gambling addiction signs and warnings seriously, and as long as the mod doesn't lock threads which are obviously duplicates of already existing ones, then I'm sorry; such threads will keep on coming out.

I mean if you are managing your funds, budgetting your income you are going to seperate them from the one, like multiple wallets or multiple bank accounts, or maybe your wallet can have different kind of savings on it, because it is going to be difficult and there was no budgetting that is going to happened if you are just going to put it all in one wallet, funds are going to get mixed and it is going to be confusing for sure for you in the long term, and your end up not budgetting anything at all.

The best answer was always go seperate a gambling budget for sure, since that way you have some kind of control on your gambling, your already setting up the limit or like only 100$ of gambling if you lose that amount then you are already going to stop gambling, vice versa as well if you are going to set your winning amount as well, it might be a good idea since you are going to gamble less and your money is less at risk your not going to end up losing since you already know your limit even at winning. Seperate funds for sure is one of the key, also make it very unconvenient so that you would easily get tempted by it, I finds it very effective in long term especially if you are seperating your funds, it was really a pain if you lose your budget but still wanted more you want to go over the budget but your just too lazy to send another amount on your gambling account.

Oh yes, its a fundemental of the fiscally strong minded people. Bitcoiners tend to fall into this category as well  Setting aside the money for its intended purpose and sticking to that purpose is as old as the budget itself. Keeping oneself accountable is imperitive to a budget's success and losing your grip on it can end in disaster if not managed properly. You should keep tracking your spending too that saves you from overspending on anything not just for gambling but I don't keep tracking of my gambling spends too but what I do is deposit an amount that I am entirely willing to lose then use it to gamble, if I won big I will withdraw the entire balance and if now I will just bet until the balance reaches zero and if it hits zero then it's good enough for the day and I will move on to other things.

After my income comes, I start separating expenses. Because if I keep it together, I spend it in different sectors against my wish. Of course having separate funds for your gambling activities makes a lot of sense, because it will let you know when to stop and call it a day, unless you are being greedy by yourself that you would want to deposite more. To be honest there's no how you would compire a gambler that have a separate budget for gambling and the one that manage everything together obviously the one that have a separate budget stand in better shape than the other gambler so it is very important to apply it when gambling to avoid getting caught up.

After a big win, you don’t have to withdraw the entire balance, you can withdraw only the profit and leave the original deposit to continue playing. Of course, you can do whatever you prefer withdraw the full amount to fully enjoy the feeling of winning, but then you’ll have to deposit again to keep playing. And with both withdrawals and deposits, you may lose money on fees. So it’s better to leave the original deposit in your account so you can continue playing, and withdraw only the winnings.
