Exactly, there are accidents that no one wanted to see like a headbutt that can change the complexion of the fight. Or that one punch that if hit at the right area will bring the fighter down and cannot recover because of the blow.

I will consider it an update of the year or even the biggest upset in boxing history. Usyk is an undisputed and undefeated heavyweight champion, which means he is the best heavyweight boxer in terms of power and skill at present, and to lose to a non-boxer is just unthinkable.
And this will put Verhoeven to a new height because he has achieved what all the best contenders cannot, and that is beating Usyk.

Rico Verhoeven is quickly going to realize that boxing with heavyweight Champion is on another level, and think this fight will finish quickly with him on the floor.
Story would be completely different if Usyk faced him in kickboxing, or if they had special MMA rules, but that is not the case here.

This statement is not legally accurate but it is partially true because in fact participants sign legal waivers stating that the boxer accepts the risks including serious injury or death so the boxer is not considered a murderer if his opponent dies within the rules. But we cannot say that the law gives him a “license to kill”...

It is not a “license to kill” but rather an exemption from criminal liability as long as the death occurred within the framework of legal competition and under referee supervision.

I have seen some promotions of this fight and it looks like they wanted to portray that Verhoeven has a chance against Usyk. I just shake my head as it's obvious that it's just another way to hype this fight as it looks like boxing fans might not buy this ticket even though it involves the best heavyweight in our generation.

Not even worth betting, as Usyk comes with 1.05 and Rico +10 Even victory by KO is only 1.20. Totally not worth freezing and risking money for such low odds. Most probably not even worth watching if only you have a lot of free time. Better save money for something more exciting, as I think you wont even manage to finish your beer and chips when the fight will be over Actually, whole card is a big collection of mismatches on May 23.

I have seen some promotions of this fight and it looks like they wanted to portray that Verhoeven has a chance against Usyk. I just shake my head as it's obvious that it's just another way to hype this fight as it looks like boxing fans might not buy this ticket even though it involves the best heavyweight in our generation.

If it is known already that much of the boxing fans will not watch this, I am also beginning to speculate that this will cause Usyk to knockout this opponent in under 5 rounds hehehe. If Usyk will not give this fight a knockout, this might cause much of the fans to lose their interest on him and begin to ignore his fights unless the opponents are big names. This will give those opponents with big names more power on the negotiating table because Usyk's name has become smaller even if he is a champion.
