I have not seen anyone that has actually gotten back all his lost from gambling or heard rather and that is the key word that ties one down in this gambling (I will recover ) that's why is good to use spare cash in gambling
Majority of my friends who
USED gamble told me that their overall wins/losses were breakeven. Though I do not believe them given that they play mostly on slots which we all know has a ridiculous chance of winning or even scoring a positive result.
While this may be the case, I also know some people who profited from gambling but most of them
STOPPED gambling at the perfect opportunity. This means that after winning, they immediately stopped gambling all throughout and used their winnings on some good and financial responsible manner.
I've heard dozens of stories about Gamblers who are definitely over 50, and I want to say that often attempts to return the money that was lost only make the situation worse for gamblers, because they lose even more. It's an endless process, but nevertheless they find their bottom after they start constantly borrowing money from relatives, and eventually they all admit that it would be better if they went to an honest job and slowly paid back their accumulated debts. Nevertheless, I know of one case about a guy who won a lot of money and could have paid off all his debts, but he decided to continue playing and after an hour he had nothing.
I have been in a casino, and someone won close to $20k. To my greatest surprise, I saw him in my neighborhood after few days sleeping in an uncompleted building. I met him and asked him if the casino refused to pay him due to any issues. He told me that he wanted to win bigger and used most of his winnings to gamble. I think many gamblers have won big within thier life time but greed made them loss all.
I often call this as the “cycle of gambling” where you cannot escape the cycle until you quit completely.
Regardless of the result, whether you won or you lost, the decision that we do is to gamble again either to recover our losses; or to try again our luck for a big win/hit. Unfortunately, this puts you in a position again of risk that can either make or break, which often breaks you in the process.
