I like the idea of investing the gambling wins to things other than gambling it away. But then the first statement needs to happen, you need to win something decent - most of the time that itself is not happening with most of the gamblers.

The people who are regularly gambling are doing it regularly because they have a negative balance to recover, not that they are winning everyday something. That negative balance typically never recovers or breaks even.

The only way to stop that is to stop gambling and accept that the balance is not coming back.

I think many gamblers have won big within thier life time but greed made them loss all.

Majority of my friends who USED gamble told me that their overall wins/losses were breakeven. Though I do not believe them given that they play mostly on slots which we all know has a ridiculous chance of winning or even scoring a positive result.

While this may be the case, I also know some people who profited from gambling but most of them STOPPED gambling at the perfect opportunity. This means that after winning, they immediately stopped gambling all throughout and used their winnings on some good and financial responsible manner.

I often call this as the “cycle of gambling” where you cannot escape the cycle until you quit completely.

Regardless of the result, whether you won or you lost, the decision that we do is to gamble again either to recover our losses; or to try again our luck for a big win/hit. Unfortunately, this puts you in a position again of risk that can either make or break, which often breaks you in the process.

I have been thinking about this a lot of times but now I think it is the right time to put the idea into life, anytime I desire to gamble I will go and invest in some shitcoins or altcoins and keep them in a wallet waiting for returns, don't know small or big ones but why not trying like that, Bitcoin is being heavily hit by geo-political tensions that are ongoing in the world today where we don't see any stability at all in different regions, unless these are stabilized I think we will not see a good recovery from Bitcoin that is why maybe some shitcoins or altcoins play different though chances are low even for them as they usually follow what the king does.

Yeah right, There are gamblers who can't managed the greed inside them, instead of being happy when they experienced some luck, they'll push for more and aim to continue hoping to win more, and most outcome is similar to what happen to that neighbor of yours, the chance of enjoying his earnings supposedly, it become a regret and will keep hunting them because of that mistake they commit.
