This isn't true. We are also far from the Middle East, but the war is already affecting our economy. I always discourage war, but if it does happen, then it would affect the world. That's not true. Here in our country, our big concern is our oil supply, where the bulk comes from the Middle East, and we are going to deplete that supply if no new oil arrives because of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

I live in an Asian country, and I can already feel the hit. There is a huge line at the gas station. Even the government had to put restrictions on how much gas a vehicle can get from the gas station. I believe prices will rise quickly in the coming weeks. Iran has already done what it could, and it announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed.
