I have a great example to people who plan to hold bitcoin and quit their jobs because they expect bitcoin to reach astronomical prices. About 5-6 years ago, people were quitting jobs because bounty campaigns and participating in them with multiple accounts were much more profitable than doing 9-5 office jobs. Look at bounty section now. It is fighting with death, trying to survive. Where are those people now? Most be flipping burgers right now.

That is a real example of how having a steady job or a running business gives you more certainty, because we cannot continue to expect something uncertain such as bounties, signatures, or the price of bitcoin reaching 1 million dollars. still having income from your job or business can give you income that you can expect every month. for things like crypto investments, bounties, or other online activities, they should be viewed as side hustles that can provide you with extra money, not your main source of income.

It is a very stupid decision to quit their job they have been doing for years just because of bitcoin that they saw potential in and say they will just trade as if it were that easy to make a profit here in crypto trading,, which is not the case.

It is better for a newbie entering the crypto space to have a regular job or stable business that he can do he can do while he is studying to gradually spend the extra money he has,
and if he has a job,, he can also set aside an allocation amount even if it is small, even if it is in bitcoin.
Jobs are hard to secure this days, quitting your source of income because of bitcoin isn't the best decision. When you quit your jobs you automatically don't have a source of income and without a source of income where would you get money to invest in bitcoin? Even if you feeling secure with the money you have saved, its just a matter of time before you start tapping into your bitcoin investment. It is a wrong idea to quit your job before investing in bitcoin It is better you have a source of income before investing.
Absolutely true. Sometimes we have to be wise in making decisions especially regarding work. While Bitcoin assets offer the potential for both short-term and long-term profits don't make it your primary source of income. If you have a job you should maintain it and never consider quitting. Furthermore, the price of Bitcoin is difficult to predict but your needs must be met daily and even monthly. Having a job will help you avoid having to sell your Bitcoin. Having a job also allows you to set aside money to continue investing in Bitcoin.

In fact, quitting your job and relying solely on Bitcoin investment is a wrong decision. There are many examples of people leaving their jobs because they believed the crypto world could be a source of income ultimately resulting in financial ruin. Therefore, be wise in making decisions it would be better to pursue both continue working and invest in Bitcoin.

Even though this thread is long, I will give my little cent opinion, there things that I consider extremism or extremist behavior and things like selling your property to hold bitcoin are some of those things, just because the society saw bitcoin as a means to escape its metrix does not mean that we should discomfort ourselves in other to hold bitcoin. I only recommend things that are within one’s control like work etc in other to achieve a level of hold but once it’s beyond this then I think it’s time we question such action.
I agree with you as this sometimes seems more extreme in decision-making and perhaps the rationale for why it's necessary is weak. I once had a discussion with someone who owns several successful businesses in my neighborhood and he told me something that not everyone would agree with. He had the capital to build another business, but he preferred to take out a bank loan for his business. This is perhaps similar to the example you gave of someone selling property to buy Bitcoin, although the pattern is different.

At a certain level, people make decisions based on careful study and consideration, and perhaps this is where the problem lies which not everyone understands. But regarding quitting your job to invest in Bitcoin with limited financial resources, I personally don't recommend this. Regardless of how someone makes such a decision, they have considered many factors before making the decision.

besides, if you are at a point of instability wherein you will need to apply to mcdonalds just because bitcoin dropped for a few thousand dollars then i do not think you should be quitting your job at all.
haha, the meme is funny bro but the reality behind it is actually painful for a lot of people who made this mistake.

Because quitting your job at any bitcoin price is one of the most emotionally driven decisions and I know that it never end well unless you already have accumulated a lot of bitcoins that they alone could back you up in the hard times but if not, then you are going to bear the consequences.

We must find another income stream, as you said, and it is the smartest thing to do. But if someone was dumb enough to make such a mistake at the start, I doubt they will learn any lesson from it. But bro the reality these days is, if you have accumulated a lot but only in your sight, in reality, it is nothing and you think it is time to leave the job but later, a few thousand dollars drop is making to find a new job, that mean you are gambling with your financial life. Bitcoin is not to be blamed here but the person is.

That's just bad management of funds, and a bad mindset of getting rich quickly if someone is panicking over a few thousand dollar drop. Bitcoin's nature is highly volatile, which is both fortunate and unfortunate for many. It depends on the results, but it can drop by 70% easily, and look how it has dropped from $126k to $63k, which is more than 50%, and still there are chances for more drops.

A person with a weak heart would easily be convinced to leave Bitcoin forever, because people invest in crypto with their hardly earned money. They don't want to see their funds going down like that; they want their funds to increase every time they see their wallet haha, which is crazy too. So these types of people are always going to panic sell.

The only time you'll quit your job is when you've managed to earn a lot from it, don't quit if you haven't really made money in BTC not only in crypto but in general. If you've managed to gather a lot of money then there's a lot of better options to earn more like making your own business or make a trade more. So yeah, I agree that quitting job without reaching a goal is really non-sense, all of us have vision to Crypto but make it happen first before quitting the job, then learn a lot of skills first before quitting your job so you can be back with a good job if something happened in crypto.

I highly agree!  Do no quit your job if your plan is only in numbers yet. Just make sure that it is already in cash and is enough to cover your future generation.  If not, never quit your job.  It is our best way to secure the funds for our daily needs.  It is also the support for the future of our Bitcoin endeavor.

Having a continuous source of income helps us to keep our BTC away from spending.  It can also help us to accumulate more Bitcoin if we happen to have a good-paying job.

I quit my job because somehow I’m still earning here from bitcointalk through signature campaigns, art work, contests like those in games and rounds and giveaways that can be converted to cash. Right now my main sources of income are bitcointalk, being a Discord moderator, and occasional art work.

As for making art, I rarely do it now because AI already take over it create many things easily. So far, I haven’t regretted quitting my old 825 job. The only downside is that I’ve gotten closer to becoming a gambler because of bitcointalk..

It's really crazy hearing how someone would think of quitting it job for bitcoin just because the price has gone up and the trend probably lasting in the long time.
That should be newbies experience who came into the industry newly and met the market price up trending and then think the green lights will trend sustainably like as the period of times he should be working in the McDonald's.
Whoever that make this kind of decision will surely regret it because in no time around the corner the price falls. Maybe then you can go back to seek for another job if you have to hold on the target of achieving your investment goal or else you're going to sell  your bitcoins in no time because the up trend volatility doesn't stay steady that should be sustainable until your retirement unlike when you've a physical job like the MacDonald's.

Quit working if you want your Bitcoin investment to fail.
Quit working if you want your finances to be unstable.
Quit working if you want to burden others with your needs.
Quit working if you want to be considered trash.

And if you don't want any of that, keep working like a normal human being. At least you'll still be able to talk about life tomorrow. Don't be too arrogant, even rich people in their old age still work.
