Did not have a lot of contact with him, but what I did was pleasant.
He started working with an old alt coin I have been playing with on and off for years.

Really knew his stuff. Would take the time to explain things to people if they asked.

They say the good ones leave first, and MarkM clearly confirms that. I didn't have the opportunity to communicate with him (as far as I remember), but from what other members write, he was great at what he did and will be missed by many.

I don't know what your problem is, but I, like many others, have expressed my condolences to those who knew him. The man is gone, and you write this kind of nonsense for one more campaign post.

Another day to remind us that we're only a passer-by in this World - always do good and stand for the truth, tomorrow is not promised. Sad to hear about another forum user passing. Rest well, Mr. Mark.

Surely, we are all strangers here in this world who would all leave one day. What becomes so painful is that you will never get to hear from them or see them anymore till time indefinite. It becomes more sad when you have a good relationship with the person, and its just so painful. It's just best if we live everyday of our lives as if it were out last days on this planet Earth. Rest on and may his soul rest in perfect peace.

I just lurk here now and I've avoided posting anything for years but I had to offer my condolences to his family and friends.
I only talked to him a few times when he tried to explain how his Galactic Milieu game worked, but he seemed like a good guy that avoided all the bullshit, pettiness and backbiting this site turned in to.

Ya, the problem was that when he explained something it was so technical that you usually had to find someone to explain his explanation to you.  I think I could have benefitted from the availability of AI back in the day when we were talking about building projects.  While we didn't have a ton of communication, his name stuck with me as one of those guys you pay attention to when they post something because they were clearly on another level with technical understanding.

I don't remember if we ever talked in any threads. Even if we did, I don't remember the name. But it is always sad to hear bad news like this. Such threads always remind me of the day that will come at some point, and I will be buried as well. I know this is our final destination and we all will die one day. Still I feel too bad when I hear news like this.

Leo's announcement thread touched me most. I think he was the only one who knew that he did not have much time, and he announced it by himself. But most others disappeared without having any chance to announce it.

I didn't know his real name but when I saw his username on the forum, I remembered him immediately and felt very sad to hear the news. His passing is big a loss for Bitcointalk, losing a genius like MarkM. I followed his valuable posts in the Altcoins section over the years, his contributions made you feel like you were talking to a super-intelligent robot rather than a human being.

I sincerely thank him for all his time and effort that benefited this community which still stands today as a testament to his remarkable journey in the crypto space. I wish him mercy and I pray that his family and friends are granted patience in coping with his loss.

These few days I rarely see the Reputation board because in the fasting month I don't want any debate. but without me realizing it, it turned out that there were members of the Forum who died, it was really sad news.

I don't know him, but I offer my condolences. May he rest in peace and the family left behind will be given patience.

MarkM was an incredibly smart man with a genius work history going back far longer than I've been alive — and as far-fetched as it sounds, his projects will probably outlive most of us here. This might be one of those cases where people come to realize how valuable someone's art really is only after they are long gone.

markm was undoubtedly a genius but always calm,patient,courteous and helpful when responding to questions or messages about any techno babble people could not understand although some of his explanations could be quite complex also  Rip markm

There is always a period of reflection and contemplation when a member of the community passes away, it is a sombre moment.

I have some recollection of the name but cannot recall ever engaging directly with MarkM even though he was a member since 2011. Just by looking at his posts history you can determine he was knowledgeable, I am sure those members that interacted with him will miss him.

Your loss for sure!   MarkM was a great proponent of using the blockchain for something other than crypto.    I tried working with him on ClubCrypto but he was years ahead of where I was.   The entire industry is better off for having exchanged ideas with him.
