If people who engage themselves in gambling have the idea or the mindset that chasing after loss is just to suffer themselves or torture themselves, which will deprived them of their peace of mind just as you highlighted, the better for them because they will be able to take the right step by making or doing the necessary adjustments just for them to gamble responsibly by setting up budget for their gambling and also have the ability to control their emotions, which will not cause them pains and regrets.

I don't know how they do it but I am always here feeling like casinos are monitoring how every accounts on their platforms gambles, if you are aggressive they will know and that will be used against you, if you like to run easily there is a chance that you won't be winning anything, I have tried all I could and i am now at the junction of accepting gambling for what it is.

I do believe that self realization is one step closer to the help the person deserves, if they don't realize it on their own, the help that someone might offer to them will be futile because the addict doesn't have a conviction yet that tells them that they are addicted gamblers. It only gets noticed by them when they have already landed in a big mess that would take years to come out from it. I remember someone who shared a story here on the forum that they entered a long debt because of gambling addiction and from the estimate they made, their income would not even settle the debt in a year time.
