The reason why people find it difficult to stop is because the person who is gambling has lost money and has an intention of making the money back and the machine which can presumably make it back is right in front of them. This is why they will always try to play again trying to win rather than stop.

Stopping is also painful because it seems to them that while they have a possibility of making the money they just lost, back - they are stepping away from it.

The truth is that gambling losses is painful and people need to understand that the pain is the reason why they cannot stop.

Without doing any research I can actually say that gamblers that are benefiting from gamble in aspect of winning their bet are lower than the gamblers that are losing their bet because there's no guarantee to win any game except the gambler is lucky, which makes me believe that losers are more than the winners. If you observe properly, we could notice that the gambers that are winning their bet are likely gambling for entertainment (am not sure actually, probably not all of them), meanwhile those gamblers that are losing their bet are desperately gambling to make money through it. Even after multiple trials and no positive results, why not quit?.

Quitting a habit that has eaten deep into your system is one of the most difficult thing to do. Let's narrow it down to gambling and the lose or win stuff. There is this tendency of you wanting to quit and there is another tendency that will creep in and say to you that just bet for the last time  if you win fine and if you don't you quit. Gambling habit is like that of smokers who will say let me smoke this last one and i quit. It's just a bad habit and bad habit is not easy to quit. Your instincts keep telling you that today might just be your lucky day so why not try it,before you know it reluctantly you have gambled.

Quitting addiction isn’t always as easy as getting into it. Most of the times, people don’t even know the point at which they got addicted, mostly starts as a repeated habit and before they know, they’re already addicted without actually knowing how they got there. And even when they eventually figure out how much the addiction is affecting them and try to break out of it, it becomes too difficult and even almost impossible to do so. And the worst part of it is that some just get tired of trying and so they just give up and it becomes even worse than it initially was.

That’s just the fact about the gamblers the numbers of people that lose in are greater than those that win in gambling, honestly winning in gambling is very hard but not everybody understands they think winning in gambling is very easy there’s some of people that ever since they started the gambling single win they never get and instead of them to quit their still wasting their money in gambling.

After they know that everything about the gambling is all about luck instead of them once they try their luck and they didn’t win they should quit and try another thing that will make their life change, but they won’t that’s main reason why mots of the gamblers get affected to the gambling easily.

I don't see anything wrong with a player losing, even if they do it often. The important thing is the bets they place and their size. Because if they're too big, it can greatly impact their life, even affecting the quality of their food, clothing, and other possessions. Of course, many people might quit gambling, but gambling is a good form of entertainment. Gambling can improve self-control, financial control, money management, emotional intelligence, and mathematical calculation skills.

Yes, there's something to do with how our brain works. Because despite knowing that we'll lose again and for so many times of trying hard.

Why we're still continuing? There's no complex explanation about that but that's related to human brain and our behavior.

We keep falling into that trap and it tends to become a loop that we're having a hard time in stopping.

If truly those that lost a day is higher than winners how come people are still gamble? I have asked myself this question until one of my close friend told me the truth that they are winning from gambling, because they don't know who they will send to attack them. Winning is not too hard if  you know the area you are specialize on either betting or casino because gamblers are specialized on those area to make their winning steady.

As long you are using what you can easily afford to lose in gambling why must you quit gambling and moreover, am not taking gambling as an investment like the way some people is taking gambling as a place they can turn to billionaire immediately. If you want to enjoy gambling use what you can easily let go in case losses occur, and you will surely going to benefit from gambling, because I have seen many gamblers that have vow never to stop gambling because is giving them joy and money.

If you are a gambler, you should get an answer to your question. But if you are not a gambler, it may be difficult to explain how gamblers find it hard to stop gambling. It might be related to addiction, but not all gamblers are necessarily addicted. There are gamblers who indeed make gambling a part of their routine or a part of a hobby. Like you enjoy football, you also enjoy sports betting. You will find it difficult to stop betting even if, when calculated, you lose more than you win.

The common reason why many gamblers can't quit even after loss is because of their hope to recover their money. Thinking for every session, there's a possibility to win, which is true at some point. But it doesn't mean you can recover back the past losses, because having such goal can only lead to addiction without the gambler getting notice that he/she is becoming uncontrollable already.

You don't have to quit as long as you know your limit, otherwise it can really cause serious problem (addiction) in the long run.

Most people can't accept loss in gambling; they think that quitting means surrendering to loss. Since gambling depends on luck, many gamblers hope to win big in the future and recover all their past losses. Then they don't have the funds to start gambling again and are forced to quit gambling. So I think those who are addicted to gambling and have already lost a lot will always try to chase their losses. This usually can be hard to understand by the outsiders of the circle because it involves psychological dynamics of this activity. We witness that when one has an emotional attachment to the hobby, it would make a strong routine to do it, although it may not always be rewarding financially. The desire to continue betting is necessary as long as money gambling is viewed as entertainment, as a type of internal pleasure. Nevertheless this hobby should not make us complacent as it will destabilize.

The number of losing gamblers is much higher than the number of winning gamblers, I estimate that this number is more than 90%. Very few people are lucky in gambling, in fact I have not yet seen such a person who has been able to profit from gambling in the long term. Even if he temporarily gained, he later lost several times more than that.

When you hear someone complain about losing at gambling, consider that he is a gambler who is using gambling as a means of making money. People who gamble with prudent money for entertainment never complain about winning or losing.

Because the chance is always there and people is hoping to get something big from gambling or at least to recover what they have lost.
However I cant fully agree that people cant recover what they lost, although the chance is so small but a chance is still a chance.
What is important for me, as long as my gambling habit (although I lose often) but it does not bring me to bad situation then I'm fine with it.
I know when I should start gamble, when I should take a break and when I can restart so I have no problems when it comes to gambling although I lose often.

What you must know is that gamblers are called die hard player because they believe that at any point that could be chances of them winning and of course, gambling is a game of chances and probability whereas one can be that chance to have that winning at any given point so lot of gamblers do not like quitting even though they are losing only this alone revive their hope for gambling and what's the so much believe is that if they stop they are missing their luck. Hence love of gamblers will decide to continue gambling than to quit gambling because they wouldn't know when their chances will come why gambling.

The obvious answer for why you wouldn't quit when you aren't making any money is that you are having fun.  This is about entertainment after all.  Winning money is cool, but you can get a job and do that every day with little to no risk.  People gamble because it is more entertaining than working and maybe they will get lucky and make a little money.  If you are having fun though, you are accomplishing the goal.  I wouldn't stop gambling if I was having a good time just because I won, so I wouldn't do it if I were losing either.

People gamble for three reasons, Because they are addicted, gambling for profit or trying to use it to find a better life or just for fun. Some find it hard to quit even though they know that the chances of winning are low because they hope to make profit from it. They chase profits continuously and keep hoping they would win big eventually.

But this very nature of chasing after profit leads the gambler to greater losses. The sooner the gambler realizes the right thing and stops himself, the sooner he can return to normal life. But if he continues to chase after it, it is never possible to improve his life from this, but over time it will only affect your life in a worse way. We have already lost several times more than the expected win that we continue to play for, but no one notices this, and thus the financial situation and normal life is destroyed.

If it were not for addiction, I suppose what is at stake would only be a small amount.
If gamblers could easily quit gambling and no longer place bets, then there would be no addicted gamblers. If you have already enjoyed gambling, whether addicted or not, it will be difficult for you to quit. But for some gamblers, they might be able to control their activity. So they do not gamble regularly. So even if they continue to lose, as long as it is within the limits you can afford, I suppose you will not experience financial pressure.
