the situation is exactly as I described.

Your description is vague, I'm starting think it's intentional.  Answer the the following questions, don't deflect, and refrain from being vague.

1. Does the beneficiary gamble?
2. Why are the husband's wages insufficient?
3. What will the funds be used for?

1. No, he is not involved in gambling.
2. Because a soldier's salary is quite low, from 20 to 30 thousand hryvnia, or approximately $450-680, provided that part of the uniform and other supplies must be purchased at their own expense. Today, this is their entire monthly income. I hope I don't need to provide information on food prices and the cost of raising a small child?
3. The main amount will go towards supporting the family and the small child, see point 2. A lot of money from existing reserves has already been spent on additional and new equipment and medical supplies (the winter in Ukraine was very cold this year). This purpose is stated in the first topic - financial assistance to a wife with a small child.

According to a popular search engine a monthly salary of $680 should be sufficient for a "comfortable" although slightly budgeted life style.  Search parameters;

Code:
average cost of living in Ukraine

Quote from: google
The cost of living in Ukraine is generally very affordable, often considered one of the lowest in Europe, with monthly expenses for a comfortable life ranging from $500–$1,500 per person depending on the city. Rent is the major expense, with a 1-bedroom city center apartment averaging 14,213.57 ₴ (~$350 USD), while groceries and utilities are low.

Average Monthly Costs (Approximate)
Comfortable Lifestyle: $700–$1,400 in major cities like Kyiv, Lviv, or Odesa.
Budget Lifestyle: $300–$400 in smaller cities or for students.
Rent (1-bedroom): 14,213.57 ₴ ($350) in center; 9,496.38 ₴ ($230) outside.
Utilities: ~3,256 ₴ ($80) for a 915 sq ft apartment.
Food/Groceries: $150–$200 per month is sufficient for a balanced diet.

Key Considerations
Location Impact: Kyiv is the most expensive, while smaller cities like Ivano-Frankivsk offer cheaper options ($270–$320 for basic living).
Currency: The official currency is the Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH/₴).
Regional Factors: Due to the conflict, security risks can influence rental prices, with some areas being significantly cheaper.
Transportation: One-way local transport tickets are very cheap, costing around 14.00 ₴.
Healthcare: Public services are often free, but private clinics for specialized care range from $15 to $150 per visit.
Source

Honestly, it sounds like you're trying to subsidize an above average lifestyle at someone else's expense.  Once again you seem to be under the impression that you are entitled to other people's money.  I don't know where you get these ideas into your head, but what you really deserve is another red-tag, not any donations.

Edit to add: To address question number 1 above, and the way you answered it:  This seems rather dishonest.  It's gotten pretty clear that the acquaintance you're pleading for is Etranger, who is female, and is active in the gambling boards.  Yet, you answered the question by saying "No, he is not involved in gambling."  So, now you're talking about the husband solder.  I guess you did this so you wouldn't flat out lie, but it's just as dishonest as a flat out lie.

Sorry if this question seems rude, but do you live in Ukraine? I'm sure you don't. But I live here, and I KNOW and SEE how things really are here! I know how much food, utilities, medicine, medical supplies, services, and everything else costs. And I can honestly say that if we're talking about 20,000-25,000 UAH/month (a soldier's salary), which is about $450-570, that's VERY little for a family of three, especially with a child under one year old.
I can suggest a game: ask the AI how a family of three, with a child under one year old, can live on a hypothetical 25,000 hryvnia. These are ideal conditions when the soldier gives all his money to his family and needs nothing for himself. Let's add some realism — utilities for a 2-3 room apartment, for example. Just ask for calculations that are current as of today, with the current exchange rate of $1 = 44 UAH.
And yes, to clarify, this is Kiev.

PS hmmmm... I looked at the same request... - you forgot to specify that the figures you gave are calculated for 1 (ONE) person. One WORKING person with the specified income. In this case, the situation is different: 3 people, 25,000 UAH per month for all three. “Working” - 1 person. Don't you think this is a slightly different situation?

I would have loved to donate if it were to be a situation that many people got affected like in a case of natural disasters but making donation for a single entity is not ideal for me. Perhaps, there are people who are facing worst situations than the woman and her baby (even some forum members are going through a lot in real life) so should they all ask for donations too? likewise me, i also have some challenges am facing currently. Maybe i should open a thread to ask for support too Grin
Not trying to be rude though, i'm stating facts without emotions Cool

Why isn’t the person being named if they are well known? Maybe some would want to help if they knew.

I think we all know families that could use some help. You have to ask yourself how things scale when using a public forum though. If everyone asked for help for those we know who need it, that’s all that would be posted here and it would disrupt discussion. I wish you luck in helping your friend.

I agree with much of the suspicion here. Which is unfortunate if someone is truly in need. “Exceptions” given by Theymos I can understand. Although, id like to know who thinks it's a good idea to donate to an anonymous user and trust that they give donations to a 3rd party?

The entire thing unfortunately just seems shady..

Maybe making it more personal would merit the community to give the situation more trust. Like who are you?, Let's see your face, hear your voice, and view the situation. Maybe making videos, sharing them with us and being 100% transparent would better allow everyone here to give from their hearts. Otherwise, I see you being accused for something you may or may not be guilty of. This community is the most superstitious I've ever seen. That being said, getting the rule “No Begging” taken away in order to allow you to receive donations for the situation might indeed merit exceptions (Work) on your end.

I do not put a red mark, as it is immoral to punish mentally unhealthy forum members. My words are confirmed by many dozens of user reviews about our sick “friend”, Vod Smiley

Trust score visibility can be a reason or not a reason, only OP knows.

This thread is more fitted in the Reputation board that is for reputation threads, etc. while Meta board is for Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum.

Regardless the OP have the permission of the admins or not people will still ask for verification. And regardless if the post legit or not, people will still ask for proof. My questions are valid, so you should shut your mouth first. Do you understand how the forum was abused by "charities" back then?

Your "questions" are pure garbage because what you did was to not read the OP and write crap accordingly. Only after I pointed out that you did not read the OP you asked for

Edit: well, since its been agreed from the admin/s. At least give us the quote of the permission...

Do you really think he would have published this on Meta if he didn't have the permission? This thread would have been trashed in no time.

And now you have theymos acknowledgment.

What you've done is not read, write garbage as a result, and when you've been caught, act cocky.

In this thread, reasonable objections have been raised by people who have read the OP, unlike you.
