The fact that the Strait of Hormuz remains to be the best bargaining chip Iran 🇮🇷 has at the moment,  I honestly don't see it being opened for two straight weeks because other issues are happening in the gulf region of which Iran has an interest..maybe when these deals are happening..going forward Israel should be on that round table so that they talk like adults and not some little girl's..otherwise this will hurt alot of countries directly or indirectly!!

Like the joke that's always thrown around,  Iran holds the cards..
Iran would be better off holding something other than the cards. All these "guardians" are bloodthirsty butchers. They've gone mad with their religious teachings. They shouldn't be encouraged, but forced into psychiatric treatment.

Iran itself didn't expect the Strait of Hormuz to become such a crucial key point in this game. I'm sure none of them could have even imagined it. It's just a coincidence. And now they're blackmailing the entire world.

Well, that "blackmail" won't last for long. Because if Trump decides to hit energy infrastructure and even take down bridges (he previously hinted this), it will be bye-bye to Iran's economy for good. So it's in Iran's best interests to let go of the Strait. Other countries might decide to join the war out of desperation. I mean, they're starting to feel the pain of high oil prices. The EU and even Asian countries like Japan and South Korea have been severely affected by the war. They import LNG and oil a lot.

The Strait is essential for energy security. Unless, an alternate route is found to help remediate the issue. It's an uncertain world, so we should expect anything.

What worries me most is that this conflict has significantly increased the price of oil. This helps Russia, for example, to fill its budget. These funds are used for the war against Ukraine. That's what's really important. And I doubt Trump has anything to do with this. It seems to me that he was recruited by the KGB a long time ago and remains an agent of the Kremlin to this day. That's why he's so interested in this. Why did the conflict in Iran begin just when Russia's budget is struggling due to low oil prices? It's all very suspicious.

It's hard to understand why both of you keep pointing the finger at Iran and placing all the blame on them, as if everything happening in the world were their fault.
Keep in mind that it was the US that initiated this war, and the Strait of Hormuz was completely open before the conflict began. If this war hadn't happened, there would have been no threat to that vital shipping route.

Attacking energy infrastructure and destroying civilian bridge is no different from committing a war crime. And expecting other countries to join the war will only lead to a more devastating conflict and more deaths. Dont expect that to happen if you truly love peace as much as you claim.

Or maybe those "other countries" that are affected should just advise the aggressor, and it's president to stop the war, pack up their aircraft, warships, remove the stupid military bases from the region  and go back home which is thousands of miles away from where the war is. That is the most logical thing to do. I don't think Iran would continue throwing punches where there is no target to throw them to in an attempt to defend themselves.

We all know who the problem is here, and most people don't want to admit it. The strait was open before the war.

Not even does the Strait of Hormuz remain closed again for now, even the Red Sea are also in risk of closing due to the Houthis in Yemen attacking any ships which are going to pass through that sea route. I think the situation in the middle east region is getting more and more worst with Donald Trump in the white house, he does not seems to have any clue about how to resolve the situation with Iran now after he started a pointless war  and I believe the energy and oil crisis would continue to worsen worldwide resulting in high inflations around the world.

The Saudis are the cause of this blockade,  they do not just support the aggression of American government/isreali  regime towards iran and the Arab countries but also funds the Genocide in Gaza and the extremism of the Lebanese people from their lands. Although they have this back and forth with the Saudis over refusal to pay money and salaries they was supposed to pay.

With this blockade and no sign of the Strait of Hormuz accessible, it should be catastrophic for the global economy and the middle east. Donald Trump is only a pawn being blackmailed and manipulated, the masterminds are simply the isreali regime. Donald Trump is simply a traitor to the average Us citizens who voted for him. All he does is cause chaos. As a food monger, I fear this will result to global food shortage.

There is nothing about captain in a war, you can't make peace with a threat. Iran never called for peace, the ally and other countries were the ones trying to make both countries settle for peace but US wanted this more than anybody. They were lost the war and they look weak, forget about those threats he was writing on his truth social, he can't nuke down a whole civilization of Iran and other countries will watch him go free. If Iran are ready to stop Nuclear research which was Isreal fear from day one, then he need to stop their sanctions and not threaten a country that has lost everything.

So far, it’s the IRGC that’s making the most nonsensical and idiotic demands-for example, demanding that Israel stop eliminating terrorists, unfreeze the assets of Iran’s criminal regime, and other such nonsense. It’s as if Trump were demanding that the French give up baguettes and let all the maniacs run wild in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz Smiley
The problem is that you’ve confused cause and effect. The consequence of the idiotic behavior of Trump and his entourage is a response to such actions taken by the IRGC. For some reason, the IRGC didn’t realize that you can’t be the only one playing the fool Smiley

The first thing I agree with is that without Israel, Iran will once again act like a bunch of hysterical little girls-I totally agree with you on that! Smiley

And the fact that the Strait of Hormuz is a trump card for the IRGC (not to be confused with Iran)-well, that… turned out to be a huge mistake. The IRGC thought that only the IRGC could act like an idiot Smiley It turns out that playing by idiotic rules with an idiot is actually really fun! And the strait can be closed from both sides! Both sides can set conditions-for example, not to transport Iranian oil or cargo to Iran-though that actually turned out to be possible. So how exactly is that a trump card for the IRGC? Smiley
And as it turned out, this dealt a severe and painful blow to Iran’s economy-significantly worse than the incompetent economic management BEFORE THE WAR, when the Iranian rial, amid a "stable economy and the wise rule of the Ayatollah", plummeted to zero...
Of course, it’s trendy to deny reality and parrot the IRGC’s propaganda fairy tales where they’ve destroyed the U.S. and the Western economy, but that won’t change reality-which is diametrically opposed to those fairy tales Smiley

Two captains can't lead one ship, both the US and Iran wants to be in charge of that Strait none wants to back down for the other that's why we keep hearing news of blockades and opening over and over. They need to find a solution cause it ruining business of their allies in the sense that Iranian allies woukd pay tolls to us for passage like US allies do same for Iran but I think US is looking for other alternatives to boycott passage of their product through that Strait cause not too long from today,  I saw a news that says, "US oil giant Chevron explores new pipeline routes in Iraq to bypass the Strait of Hormuz".

Listen and read up. I don't think you're dull, but if you're dull, it gladdens my heart you can still read and change your opinions on things. The only captain here is obviously Iranians and they have been in control of the Strait of Hormuz for quite sometime now. Despite the blockade, they have still charged toll fees for every shipment going through the Strait. What is more painful to tue US government is that they choose to accept the Chinese yuan as mandatory fee to be paid.

They found a solution recently with the MOU but who broke the agreement signed up?! Day dreaming and delusion is why you write stuffs like this, even the Yemeni shut down the passage they control. The regional power in the middle east has changed. It is high time thry come to agreement.

It’s interesting to see who’s actually violating the ceasefire here—and who’s the terrorist? And who’s really blocking the international waterway?
Facts:
- On Friday, July 24, U.S. President Donald Trump suspended the air campaign against Iran, which had been ongoing for 13 consecutive nights.
- CENTCOM Commander Admiral Cooper and civilian advisors at the White House recommended a pause, stating that two weeks of bombing had significantly reduced Iran’s ability to attack ships and that the main planned targets had been exhausted
- July 26 : An oil tanker struck a sea mine in the Strait of Hormuz and caught fire after deviating from the route designated by Iran. This was the second such incident in a week (the previous one occurred on July 23).
- July 27 : Iranian state media reported that the IRGC Navy forcibly stopped six civilian vessels during the night. According to Tehran, the ships had turned off their onboard systems and were attempting to pass through the "illegal" southern corridor at the instigation of the U.S. military.  Five vessels were returned to the Persian Gulf; one suffered an accident

- Sabotage of civilian vessels in INTERNATIONAL waters
- Defining the "legality and illegality" of international shipping while claiming ownership of the Strait of Hormuz

True. Everything was fine until Trump decided to intervene. He miscalculated his strategy in trying to avoid Iran from building nukes. With this war, the country is more determined to build a nuclear arsenal than it did before. The best approach would've been to deal with the situation diplomatically since day one.

Now it's already too late. The Strait of Hormuz will never be the way it was before the war. Iran already promised to charge tolls for vessels crossing the Strait. Even if the war ends. The negative impact will be a long-lasting one. Oh, well...

The past president are all wise to have handle the matter well. Donald Trump allowed himself to be used by the Prime Minister of Isreal so as to avoid his uglies in the Epstein files being released.
The former counter head of terrorism can also confirm that Iran had no such plans to build a nuclear weapon before the war kicked off. It was all pure lies as it was with Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

The strait of Hormuz can be open, but Iranians will be in charge the same way they have said they'll accept tolls for accessing the strait and also for the destruction of life's and properties by the US government. It should be a direct hit to the petrodollar rules because they will either take these payments with Bitcoin or the Chinese Yuan.

Yeah, if they never had the nukes before, they are certainly going to have them now and if they had a few before the war, they are going to increase the production. You can't keep bullying everyone around you and think that one day they won't mount a strong resistance.
And yeah the Strait of Hormuz will never be the same again.

Sometimes I don't know if Iran have something to say this is what we are fighting for, today they will attack without minding the outcome and the next thing they are using the only passage by which the world are using to trade and other things as a means to push the problem they brought upon themselves away, no way. If Iran knew or had it in mind how the Strait of Hormuz is to the World I believe we won't have been hearing some of the things we are hearing now, these guys knows the buttons to press and this war would be over but they are just making life difficult for innocent people.

Who started this war? The Strait of Hormuz had been a free shipping route for centuries before the war broke out.

If Iran had not been invaded, had not been bullied, and if this war never took place. I am 100% certain this strait would never have been closed and we would never have to go through what is happening right now. So do not just blame a country that is under attack and act as if every problem is its fault.

I don't think any of us are directly involved in this war. We are all outsiders. So let us look at the situation objectively and fairly.

It doesn't matter if we are not affected directly, the main thing is everyone I mean every country that does business using that shipping route (Strait of Hormuz) are all affected and we are equally affected, doesn't matter if we're outsiders or not. Iran on the other hand caused all these things happening to them, imagine them hanging their citizens and shooting at them for a peaceful protest and some of the injured ones who was taking to the hospital was killed by the gunmen or whatever security officers they are, so you expect the world to keep shut? For me is not proper and with the fact that they are planning on having a nuclear weapon, so many things are involved and we should be consider them too before saying this particular country are the cause and they are bullying the other country.

Are you Iranian and have you witnessed these things firsthand? Or are you simply repeating what the American media say, like many other without really knowing what is going on there? I'm not defending them, but I think we need clear evidence before accusing anyone, instead of blindly trusting info from one side.

Furthermore, what do you think about the US allowing its ally, Saudi Arabia, to pursue a nuclear program?

There are many things we need to verify before criticizing a country, instead of naively believing everything its enemies say.

You don't know that, maybe you should pay a visit to the Persians and get first hand information for yourself don't you think so?

Those citizens shot police officers during the protest and insurgency started by the mossad to cause an uprising from within Iran. So what have you done with the countless people shot dead by Ice in the United States?! Or are you not going to do anything again? All the American sources sent for inspection all can confirmed they never had such plans, not until the former Supreme leader was nuked alongside his grand daughter.

They had no such plans for nukes until recently and nukes wasn't the reason why the war was started.

All the American sources sent for inspection all can confirmed they never had such plans, not until the former Supreme leader was nuked alongside his grand daughter.

They had no such plans for nukes until recently and nukes wasn't the reason why the war was started.

This points are factual, basically on view points, my perspective of this issue is not about Iran retaliation using the straits of hormuz as bargaining strategy, it's understandable that war incurred losses but the equation of losses can only balance in this cases where both parties are receiving equals heat, now the war is directly on Iran geographical domain they will be of greater damage losses on them, he who fight and run live fight another this saying is eminent on parties that have good articulation and see future allowing the war to go beyond this will make them loose, from my experience US can't be on that their zone without any benefits mounting their force in the sea, their calculation of attacking their neighbors have make the whole thing too complex , any nation this war is not affecting currently is only few who are not depending of oil production and whose reserve can carry a good five to six years with sorting to restore this very blockades is hotting many nations including my countries as that have increased cost of commodities and others logistics, the war is really telling on some nation not just the parties involved.

Many nations are impacted by the Middle East's problems, and as of right now, the price of fuel has not decreased. This is one of the most annoying aspects of the situation because it constantly affects everything, has caused a great deal of hardship for everyone, and has had an impact on the economies of nearly every nation. I'm not sure why the problem hasn't been resolved because the price of fuel hasn't changed since the beginning.

And I'm not even sure why all of these people want to use nuclear weapons; if we could just live in peace, there wouldn't be any need for all of this drama. The whole thing began as a joke, and now we're all struggling with the rising costs of everything. At this point I think there is an alternative,  to fuel but just in some cases nothing can replace fossil However, I'm confident that everything will change with time. As of right now, there are no other options, but I think it's great that people will be considering alternatives because this is purely political and has harmed a lot of people.
