From what you have explained, it looks like you are an introverted gambler that doesn't like people around or like to gamble in a crowded place. Both arguments are valid, yet, it comes to the way of thinking and discipline. Not only is gambling unpredictable, the structure itself is such that long-term profit cannot be expected, hence using it as a source of income is not a safe decision. But the greater wrong is not to have a clue where and when not to gamble. It is not well judged doing it during work or during meetings and doing it when under emotional pressure will tend to increase the losses. One should also never spend critical money or go all the way. Damage is controlled with the use of a fixed budget. As a matter of fact, gambling must not be seen as a sure means to earn money, but as entertainment.

Lunch break? That is a no-no for me, but I do agree that when we just want to relax and pass the time before sleeping that might be the best time to sleep. Although you need to understand that if you lose, then you don't have to go overthink about it.

If you're short on free time, I wouldn't recommend gambling at all. The fact is that gambling, like any other responsible endeavor, requires extreme concentration. This kind of concentration can't be achieved when you're short on time. But remember, these bets are paid for with your own money, and you're losing money for silly reasons. Somebody who is gambling during these two periods is nothing but an addict, that is the only definition that I can give it, they don't have any control over their cravings to gamble. I’m more inclined against gambling at home in front of the children, because it sets a bad example for them, and as parents we should be mindful of what we do and how they might emulate us and that should be a positive influence. For persons who are battling with irresponsible gambling habits it's best to just avoid gambling during those hours because gambling can be tempting and sometimes we feel like gambling more even after we have exhausted our bankroll for gambling. I wouldn't even think of gambling while I'm driving, is it even right to be at your phones when driving? I wouldn't even want to gamble when I'm in a meeting. There should be time for everything including gambling and it shouldn't be within those critical times.

How true it is or become that gambling messes up one's emotions and causes them to underperform from their normal standards will depend solely and importantly on the person's reason or motive for gambling, if the goal was to try to win money for instance, and the person end up losing money instead, definitely this could cause the person to be disappointed and lead to their emotion breaking down..

But let me imagine myself going to or for an important meeting or job interview in a company I really need to work with or for, and right there inside the bus I could feel myself nervous from different possible scenarios playing out in my head, and the only thing I could do at that moment is to play some gambling games to calm my nerves and also help me get my mind together from thinking different thoughts, I don't see how this will mess up my emotions but would rather improve and even add an extra layer of boldness in me, because without me taking this action, me being nervous could have installed fear in me which could have made my performance in the interview very poor..
