Single or parlay?

Parlay: 1.40 x 1.40 = 1.96 or Single bet at 1.96 ?

I actually tried this before, kind of like a small experiment, but it didn’t really last… I ended up losing anyway.

In my thinking, 1.40 odds should be “safer” since it has a higher chance of winning, but the problem is the payout is too low. So the idea is to combine two of them just to reach a decent odds like 1.96. But then again, once you combine it, you now need both bets to win. One mistake and everything is gone.

So now I’m not really sure anymore if that “safer odds” logic still holds when you turn it into a parlay.

Based on your experience, which one do you think actually gives better chance to be profitable? Do you stick with single bets even if the odds are higher, or do you still prefer combining lower odds to build value?

It doesnt make sense on trying out to make some parlay just because you do want to win up 1.9x odds on which i wont say that it wont be worth of the risks. Also, i had made out my own rules that i wont be that making up some bets below 1.9x but there are instances i do make out some bets on 1.5x if im really that confident that it wold hit up but of course just like been said that there's no way that we can be able to predict totally whether it would be a win or lose, in despite that you are betting on the heavily favorite or most likely to win but still there's no assurance to that and thats why you would be that able to hit up the win. Well, thats what make betting to be exciting on which we dont really know on waht would happen. For Singles or Parlays then it would be just that depending into your preference because there are bettors who do want on low odds and betting up a big amount and thinking up about sure win but there are those who want parlays on which making use of a small amount but having that better odds when win but of course less chances of winning yet the risks is involved on multiple games.

Between the two? I will surely go with single bet as it's obvious that you don't need to wait for another result to win my stake.But the thing is that it could be that the parlay consist of two favorites and then the single one is a underdog. But in any case, if seems that single is the best option here, however, as what others might say, no sure win in gambling, it is still the unknown that we are betting so we don't know the result until we cross that path. But for me, I would rather take that big risk with single, just to get the pressure of waiting or watching another game to see if I win or lose.

You know, this is the only reason why i would prefer going for single bet because when the first game play you won't be waiting for any other games to play, if the first game plays then you're sure of wining is just like when I bet multiple bet  I don't usually have a hope of wining because the selections are too many. Although there's no different between the both because we can't even escape Loss even though we bet on single games rather a guy who is betting on single game is likely to be more profitable than a guy who is betting on multiple bet because the chance or wining from multiple bet is very slim compared to single bet.

A single bet is not always profitable but the profit is relatively small because it is based on the odds received so the sentence is more precise, parlay is always better in providing odds for more profit but the risk must also be borne if you lose one then everything will become a loss, and it is not a good choice for someone who is not ready to lose.

Not just parlay is not a good choice for someone who is not ready to lose, also single bets. In short, gambling should not be gotten into by anyone that is not ready to lose the money deposited into his gambling site's account. Also casinos games are among. Another thing is that because someone go for parlay, the person can decide to use lower amount of money, unlike when betting on a single match. Although, some people might be very greedy.

Sometimes they say too many cooks spoil the broth, this means trying different ideas to create something usually ends up in a mess but then in regards to gambling parley can be very tricky making you having doubts over the games which is why some person's tends to combine different or both strategies to arrive at a good profitable results, so then tou can decide to opt in fkr any of the options either a single or parley pending which one you're comfortable with.

Usually I only bet singles rather than parlays & I never really tried both with the same total odds. In my personal opinion, single bets have a better chance of winning than parlays, even though the total odds obtained are the same between the two. This is because of the existence of variants. In single bets, we don't have any variants, only single ones. Meanwhile, in parlays, we have many variants. You can find out about these variants in various sources to understand them more deeply.

Betting on a parlay of multiple legs has a low chance to be successful except for extremely lucky gamblers, like someone who have won a parlay of 5 draws, the money they won was huge but the risk was very high and could have ended in lose but they were lucky, if the person had also bet on just a single game, there are chance that the game could have been successful or he might have lost it. If someone wants to be often lucky with parlay, they should not add too much legs and they should also do proper analysis, it doesn't guarantee winning always but the person can be more lucky.

This is kinda subjective to the person that is playing the bet because some games can look more realistic to win than some others, so if the chances of the two playing out is more than that of one going through, then you would stick to playing the two than going to play on one. The advantage that playing more than one game has is the cash out option, but since we are more interested in the final result as a result of the odds given, one will not settle for them and would prefer to see the end of the game to get all cash out possible in the game. It alll falls back to weighing of options on which suits best.

Both betting patterns are absolutely not risk free, but do have their respective levels of risk associated to it, while secondly luck is another key factor in scenarios like this. But in a nutshell, I think combining two safer odds to get a higher one is actually more safer than just staking on a single game with a high odd, despite the fact that it still doesn't mean with luck you can't win too. Because I have had experience gambling in both betting patterns, and evening while gambling on few safer games on a parley, I still loses my bets long term, due to the inconsistency of big football teams losing to smaller terms we never thought they could lose to. Betting on single games are not dangerous to be honest. There are a lot of bettors here that prefer that and they're choosing high odds and one game or bet only. Because having the other bets combined gives them more risk that they might not be able to accept if let's say 3 bets and the majority have won and only one has lose. We don't like that, so for that kind of situation and avoidance of it, it's best to go with single bets. If you don't want to experience that kind of frustration.

From my experience with both bet types, single betting always beats parlays, any day of the week. Sometimes I do the same thing by parlaying very small odds if the slate for the next day isn't suitable for betting, but that's only an alternative or a backup plan whenever my usual strategy forces me to go above my max bet.

Even with the parlay, the stakes are still pretty much high, the more the number of the games, the lower your chances of winning and the fewer the games, the higher the chances of winning. You’re right that choosing a single game would only make you stake so high depending on your confidence level. Which is why I’d rather to pick just 2 or maybe 3 games, this way the stakes are much lower than just making a single pick and the chances are also much higher than when you pick a long parlay.

Don't know about the mathematical probability but I will prefer the single bets over the combined, you win or lose so there is 50/50 chance but with combined bets the chance will reduce further, if I am not wrong. And one should not simply based on the odds in sports betting because a weak team can win over a stronger one on a particular day and I won many of such bets though.

Based on my experience in both it's kind of tough to pick which is most preferable cause I've won single bets and parlays and lost with both too but one thing about single bet is that once the team you consider favorites wins your bet is won but for paralys the first game could be correct but the second one might end up as draw instead of the favorite team to win, it's happened to me on several occasions. There’s no guarantee which option is better, but from my experience, single bets are more comfortable than parlay bets. Logically, both options carry almost the same level of risk, as you mentioned. But, in the long run, I think single betting is still more efficient because we have more time to analyze and come up with accurate predictions. Compared to parlay betting, sometimes we don’t have enough time to properly analyze every match, and in the end, a few selections are made randomly, which often leads to the parlay losing.

In my thinking, losing 2 bets with 1.40 odds is easy, because you have to be right about both outcomes and 1.40 is not a sure win, if you ask me, from my experience, you can lose even with 1.01. So I would choose 1.96, but actually I never bet with such small odds. My range is usually between 3.00 and 99.00. Of course, I rarely win, but if I do, it feels good.

While looking for the high odds and the high wins you should also look trying to make a balance between the high and the low.
The likely rate of winning fir high odds offcourse is usually very low, even though they are huge when they finally come, but you cant always wait for that huge win forever and keep betting on and on. So in a bit to chase the high odds you should also choose to play the low odds to get something interverly.
