Jackpotter confiscating fair NBA winnings

I am really sorry about this issue.
This is a real problem mostly with such sports where the bookie can get far away from the "real outcome".
Anyway even if this is not the solely justification to not pay a win, we don't have info about your previous betting history @OP.
I am really curious to know, why not play just in gambling exchange? They will not limit your betting amounts or seizing winnings.
About "privacy" unless you're based in the EU I would not argue to much on this point... (just because the EU has the "strong" laws on these matters).

Yes, I am based in the EU.
Why I don't bet on exchanges? Well, Betfair and Betdaq don't accept customers from my country and the other ones have too little liquidity. And I did not have any bad experiences with the previous Betby sportsbooks so I had no reason to assume something bad like this was gonna happen to me.

We have spent time reviewing this case on a number of occasions and unfortunately the final decision of returning the players FULL deposit of about 0.120 BTC was to be the final decision.

In this specific case, the restriction was not a random or manual decision made by Jackpotter.
It was applied by our sportsbook provider, who independently monitors betting behavior across all operators using their feed. They have all the information at their disposal and the technology to pick through the information at a quick rate.

The NBA linebets question were flagged after a consistent pattern of value betting / EV+ betting was detected over a large number of bet across the wider Betby database.
Not one lucky line, not a small streak — a systematic approach that aims to exploit pricing inefficiencies with minimal risk.

The customer, GeerieErik, was able to withdraw his initial deposit of 120 mbtc with no restrictions.

This is unacceptable behaviour. The client has a contractual relation with you, not with your odds provider. You cannot take action like confiscations based on what the client did at other sportsbooks. You have to solely look at the bets placed at your sportsbook to base a decision on. And from what OP posted his bets were nowhere near out of line enough to warrant such heavy measures. You will not haveamany customers left if you start acting like this.

I totally agree. It doesn't matter if OP played other or similar bets on other sites. The only bets that matter are the 4 bets placed on Jackpotter. No player would ever think their gameplay on other sites would be taken into consideration because this is totally irrelevant.
Heck sharing sensitive player information violates privacy agreements in my opinion. Betby doesn't have the right to do so I assume. He placed 4 bets on Jackpotter, on odds that have been totally normal and same on other casinos. Therefor you can't blame him to win.
Being this new in this community this would really send a wrong message. Jeez, even I opened an account with JP cause I like the people on this site behind this project. But knowing now you can get in trouble just for playing at other sites that use betby is a total nogo for me.
Hopefully you guys will reconsider cause that's not the start a casino that was founded just last year should want.

This is a dance that every bookmaker has to go through. They have to manage risk proactively because there will always be arbitrage and value betting players out there. In fact "value betting" should be the starting point and foundation of how every bookmaker prices a bet, if your odds are out of sync with the wider market (not just your single shared odds platform) by more than 0.01-0.03 then you should expect that people will find space to make money from you. Value betting players are the ones to keep a bookmaker the sharpest and focused they need to be. That being said, bookmakers are in business and will eventually restrict such profitable players, but they need to pay out everything done honestly up until that point. Glad that Jackpotter have finally seen sense here and done the right thing.

Absolutely! If there were any doubts providers flags have no power over the casino ability to pay fair bets, this further proves it.

Glad this has been resolved with the correct, desired outcome. So called value betting is not a legitimate reason to withhold winnings. If a sports-book or casino offers odds on their platform and somebody makes a bet that wins, paying out in full is the only acceptable outcome.

I hope you take lessons out of this experience and in future only judge players on what they did on your platform, and not on other Betby platforms. If you are extremely scared of people betting on value then you should just use Pinnacle odds in the future (just like Cloudbet does for example), and then you will always win long term. If however you stick to Betby, you have to accept the fact that 1% of your customers may place some value bets every now and then (although in my case my 4 NBA bets were not clearly value bets). It's all in the game, you win more than enough from those other 99% customers to pay for that little loss you make on that 1%. Just limit value players and ask for KYC, then let them withdraw. If you do that then you will end up in the trustworthy sportsbooks category such as Betplay, 500casino, Roobet etc. And you will still make a good profit overall.

I think that you're actually one of the lucky ones. From recollection, Jackpotter is the only one to reconsider after the odds provider claim of value betting. We were letting books get away with this predatory practice without reprecution. We need a flag every time a book takes winnings.

These odds are being given by a provider to a dozen or more different sportsbooks. When a book alters the odds given to them for the sake of attracting action - or whatever reason - they are still liable for paying out the bets they accepted.

I agree with this part. There is a new breed of casinos that want us to accept that confiscating winnings on the basis of "value betting" is a standard practice. It is not. The industry standard is to limit or ban "value bettors" only after paying out their winnings. We as a community should push back against casinos that insist otherwise.

In any case, I removed my red trust on Jackpotter.
