What do you mean they bypassed the steps? I just tried a new exchange and I see a letter of guarantee available for download before a trade even happens. Did you skip downloading it?

That's a pretty common practice I think. The letter of guarantee should be downloaded before the transaction begins and it shouldn't be available on the transaction status window because it contains private information.

It is true that they have now raised the minimum exchange amount from the previous ~$40 to the current $1000+, which is completely the opposite of what you do when the service is in maintenance mode.

What is the point of having all transactions over one thousand Dollars stuck when there could be none stuck at all?  I would argue setting that as the maximum would have made a lot more sense..

I was also scammed by 0trace for a good amount.  No response from site chat or emails.. Multiple red flags like changing the fee rate to 0.3/0.5 should have known when he always leaves it at 0.9 and not pausing the site for exchanges is the big red flag when he already publicly said he has liquidity problems.. if he was serious about this he would at least give an update and try to calm everyone fears down! when he realized  that we are all now calling him out for it he suddenly disappeared,  i noticed he used to reply so fast on bitcointalk to other users so he is deffinitly exit scamming!!

Could you clarify what this means? Your site states very clearly that you are using your own liquidity. Also, if you’re having liquidity issues it would make sense to stop accepting deposits, but instead, you’ve just increased the minimum deposit amount. To anybody with common sense this is all looking very suspicious.

People thought it was a reliable service, as it was present everywhere—including on OrangeFren, which isn't exactly easy to get into.

I also sent a PM to the team about 20 hours ago, but it hasn't been read yet.

But there is some good news: OrangeFren holds a deposit of 0.07797629 BTC for them.

I am sorry for that  . The deposit amount should always be significantly lower than escrow (unless the platform has been operating for a long time and has spent thousands on its advertising campaigns.)

We're monitoring the situation closely.

The pattern is concerning: payouts paused, support silent, team disappeared from forum, site still accepting new deposits despite acknowledged liquidity problems. The "issues with our provider" statement directly contradicts their own ToS claim of own liquidity settlement.

Additional signals: BitMixList deactivated links, Scamadviser very low trust, Gridinsoft 1/100, reports on LitecoinTalk of never-arriving funds.

NULL_ROUTE has flagged the incident and temporarily downgraded the score from 7.2 to 5.0. If exit scam is confirmed — full delisting.

Still no response from the onsite live chat support, despite multiple attempts. The OP hasn't logged into the forum for nearly two days, even though they are aware that people are expecting an update on the situation. I hate to say it, but this doesn't look good.

I recently read a Topic where some body said how crap Bitcoin Talk has become, as no body is able to launch a business here with out being 'forced' to escrow some money as a guarantee, or other wise every body will jump in saying it is a future scam.

This is why it became pretty much a requirement.  And I do not really get this, how it all goes from interesting features, development and communication to an exit scam from one day to the next.

It is such a shame seeing this happen so often.  Way too often nowadays, it seems.

I do not know yet if this situation is worth giving them a Red Feedback, but I will definitely post a neutral one as soon as I finish this reply.

Edit.  By 'worth' I meant if it was the right time to post one.  I changed my mind and resorted to the Red Feedback, which stays unless the payout situation gets resolved.

Unfortunately, the escrow deposit held by OrangeFren is most often completely useless. I'm sorry, but that's how it is. I have full respect for OF, but in the case of escrow, where it is only applicable if the user used the service through OF, it is unacceptable in my opinion.
I don't know how much you followed my posts, but I often suggested you as an escrow, because that way you would cover globally, and not, for example, only BitList users.
So, I have to express my disagreement with the fact that it is good news that Orangefren holds 0.07BTC as escrow. Completely worthless, even though it comes from a platform that has a very good rating.

Is their sig campaign still active?  It should at least be paused until their representative provides some kind of response.
