I mean, we all see gambling as a bad thing, I would probably going to consider it as a vice, and it could also be an addiction, but we would probably going to all agree that with the right dicipline gambling is not going to be a bad thing. I'm not saying that gambling is not making money at all, the thing is, only a few people are able to do it, only a few people are able to make a profit in gambling, most of the time people are losing money on it, worst, they are losing an uncontrolled amount of money, because they are not managing their gambling.

I think gambling is not a side hustle, but with the right thing, and dicipline it can be one, I mean I wouldnt going to say that im winning a huge amount on gambling but I did make a decent amount a lot of times, I do not gamble daily something like that, it was just a little side job most of the time, only when I want to, or feel like to. I think gambling can be a side hustle as long as you can handle it, It is already similar to trading, it is just high risk and high reward as well, but the thing is, it was even riskier than trading.

I personally think that if it is considered as an extra income then the mental stress is much less. Life does not stop when you lose because the main source of income is somewhere else. Our luck in gambling is very different and so we cannot be winning at same time, at a time when you are loosing, someone maybe winning the reverse too can be the case and that is how the money goes round and every gambler gets paid while the casino makes their profits. If it's considered as a side hustle then the gambler will probably be spending all most of the money he's getting from his main source of income to gamble. Just as I will not win in gambling by seeing others win, there is no way to say that if someone else loses, it will be the same in my case. However, one common thing is that gambling can be either a win or a loss. But in no way can we consider it as an additional source of income. Considering the source of income, it should be regular, but there is no possibility of getting that opportunity through gambling. That's exactly the point so many people don't get. Despite the fact that one can possibly get life-changing wins from gambling, it doesn't mean we should consider it a source of income and expect that we are going to be one of the very few people who manage to have their lives changed through gambling, because you have to be extremely lucky for that, and to try your luck, you don't need to be gambling constantly and regularly, you should fix an amount, and use that amount to try your luck every now and then, and if it doesn't work out, just tell yourself that you are not lucky enough for now, and try again later.

For as long as you are not treating gambling as a way to make money, gambling is not going to create problems for you in your life, but as soon as you do so, you will start having all sorts of problems in your life. You will start spending more and more money on your gambling activities, and if you have a family, you will slowly start noticing that this thing is ruining your relationships because you are neither paying enough attention to them, nor you are spending enough money on them. ‎I understand your point, but gambling is not a real side hustle that someone can even be proud of doing. What kind of side hustle will someone lose more than they are winning. The level of uncertainty in gambling is very high, that's why it was created as a means of entertainment not for survival. Yes at times some people might luckily win a big amount and use it to survive, but the chance of winning another big one again will require you to play multiple times which drains your money and time. At times it leads to addiction, which is the worst case scenario. There's no winning consistency in it, that kind of stuff can't be categorized as a side hustle.

The answer is depending on personal perspective. Some treated it gambling as a side hustle caused by it gives them income, while the rest treating gambling as entertaining purpose.

As for me, i treat it as entertainment caused by it's pretty much the same like a roller coaster. I said that caused by the income would never be consistent. So i treat the profit as the bonus when i win.

Okay, I will consider it a good source of income with good discipline, but can you tell me up to which extent a person can maintain discipline? Gambling is not like other jobs where you can set things according to your preferences, and it will go smoothly for the rest of the time. It is a field where you can adopt strong discipline, but there comes a time when your overconfidence in a winning streak can give you a false vision that you will continue to win, and that can trick you into losing all your money and years of discipline. You may not be able to regain that discipline again. So, if you are thinking of taking it as a job, then you need strong discipline I mean very, very strong discipline where if the world were to separate into two pieces, your decision would not change.
