Guys I am curious about those Bitcoin coins 🪙
I want to ask what are you using them for? I have a gaming PC and I am thinking maybe I should get few and use them to design my PC built.
Is there anything else that Bitcoineirs use those coins for?
Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room.
Im using bitcoin as a store value, hedge against inflation and simply investment. Here in Indonesia you cant use bitcoin as a currency but you can use it act like commodity so yeah. But im using bitcoin as payment too, service like VPS and VPN im regulary pay with bitcoin as long you save the seed phrase you will be safe hahah and never tell your holding to another \ You need to understand difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin. Bitcoin is a blockchain. bitcoin is a coin on Bitcoin blockchain.
haha I just knew this hahah so there is different between it.

Is there anything else that Bitcoineirs use those coins for? Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room. They are coins alright but certainly not Bitcoin. It’s just one of those collectibles that Bitcoiners like to get and hodl for various reasons, mostly for the fun or to show their passion for Bitcoin. Owning one or a coupe is entirely up to you but, if you choose to use it and design your PC in your private space, it would certainly project the idea that you own Bitcoin and those who doesn’t know it so well would think that’s the real deal and make plans for it. Either way, it brings you a little attention as someday, your private space could get invaded.

You mean physical coins? they are just collectibles or accessories. Actually it's up to you what you use it for, I personally have bought and used it for this... It's truly a symbol of luxury, haha This really made me laugh because I often scrape my body with coins like that when I'm feeling unwell. But as you said, the BTC coins he's referring to are actually just collectibles or accessories. Many e-commerce sites sell them, and they're not that rare. Unless they're gold-plated, they might be more valuable. But I didn't think the OP was buying a rare collectible coin because he wanted to use it to decorate his gaming PC.

Is there anything else that Bitcoineirs use those coins for? Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room. Physical Bitcoin coins are mostly just for display. You can find them at various online stores that sell them. I personally seen many of these display coins available there. You can use them to customize your computer’s appearance. And this won’t reveal that you actually own Bitcoin. However it might lead people to suspect that you might own Bitcoin or even aspire to own it. But you don’t need to worry about the concerns you have as long as you keep them in your private space, where only your immediate family can see them. On the other hand this design might also further motivate you to have a strong ambition regarding your interest in Bitcoin. But it’s best not to broadcast this to anyone other than your trusted family members. Bitcoin is a valuable thing that you need to protect from exposure so you should avoid acting carelessly in a way that might lead others to suspect that you own Bitcoin.

Of course, someone will continue to use digital as long as your digitalization continues. Rather than stopping digitalization, it's better for you to find decent work for yourself and your children. Bitcoin may be connected to the virtual world of bitcoin, which can be generated in a wallet. The deposit will be mine if no one claims it.

I just save them and serve as my personal collection. This coin has no physical value because those who have real value are those virtual currency, meaning they can't be hold or touch, but can only be seen in the screen.
Since its not that valuable, then you can use it as an accessory and make it as a decoration, I think no one would ever think that you have lots of bitcoin in your wallet since those who have actually known bitcoin already know that bitcoin has no physical coins, everything exists online.

It could be worth something depending on what you truly bought but they are generally categorized as collectibles as already answered by others. Check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0 to see similar stuffs. Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room.
Not really , but it could be a way of telling people “ Hey! I’m into Bitcoin” depending on what you do with it for example using it in a way that flashes it publicly. Even if you have zero worth of the actual Bitcoin it makes people assume you’re into it.

Like the one you are holding which can buy on online stores like physical Bitcoin coin?? That coin does not hold any value and many people used to get that for collectible purposes only. You can grab many of those coins in online shops, but if you want to expand your collection you can go here in collectibles https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0 on which many collectors go and they do buy and sell some physical coins there.

That is a collectible, that thing worth as much as the element that make up the collectible.
If i recall correctly some of the collectible have bitcoin private key embedded to the coin but not all of them have that, so be sure to check.
Otherwise, that ain't bitcoin.

If you want to learn more about physical bitcoin, the collectibles section of the forum provides extensive knowledge about its uses. Some of them serve as historical artifacts collected by those who cherish them. An example is early Casascius coins. Some of them are made of high-quality precious metal making them expensive. If you keep them in a place where only you have access, that's okay. But exposing it, is like telling everyone that you own Bitcoin. This could be risky in areas with low security. It could reveal to criminals that you own Bitcoin. I would prefer not to keep anyone.

Honestly, this is my first time seeing a physical bitcoin coin because all I know is that bitcoin only exists in digital or virtual currency, it has no physical form or image like fiat.
It's still not your first time yet if you're talking about on seeing it here online on this thread . Don't know about you but for me this isn't physical sight of the bitcoin coin design for me. Lol. But I long to see it physically someday though. My advice, just collect and keep it. its better not to be displayed because other people might wrongly accused you of having a lot of real bitcoin.
When people see you with anything related to bitcoin they don't want to know the quantity of the coins you have whether it's just sats or not. All they quickly conclude is you have some actual bitcoin and you must be rich for being an owner of such limited digital asset. Every object or subject that can attract public attention to our financial status, we must be strictly discreet with it to avoid random attacks.

The object you have shown in the picture is basically a silver plated or steel or aluminum coin that you can collect for a small amount of money. But if you want to collect it as a Bitcoin or learn about it, then you must go to the Collectibles Board where you can learn about real Bitcoin. If you want to use it for personal use, you can definitely do so because it is basically aluminum-plated steel. You can use it for personal use and to decorate your PC.

I get the point about being careful, but I think it depends on how you handle it. Bitcoin isn't just something to store, people use it for different things, sending money without banks, long-term savings, even payments in some places. On the privacy side, it's true that showing off anything related to money can attract attention. But it doesn't mean you have to hide everything completely, just to be smart about what you share. At the end of the day, it's more about how you protect yourself than just avoiding anything related to bitcoin.

Those physical coins are collectibles. I have seen them been sold for new dollars on AliExpress before but I don't see needs to buy one.
There are also some Bitcoin miners that comes with these collectibles, I guess I have seen something similar before. Can someone who own different brand of Bitcoin miners confirm this?
One can use them to showcase Bitcoin, it looks Goldy but not a free gold, I advise you use them indoors only before someone mistook them as real gold because of them colours.

Not all coins are Bitcoin. There is only one Bitcoin, and there aren’t many types. If you see the abbreviation BTC, that’s Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a digital currency system. It allows people to make transactions worldwide without involving a third party, such as a financial institution. There are coins used for gaming, and those may not be Bitcoin (BTC). We use Bitcoin for transactions and as a long-term investment asset because many people use it as an investment asset—since we can’t use it for everyday payments.

Bitcoin is the Bitcoin blockchain, and bitcoin is a coin on Bitcoin blockchain with a ticker BTC BTC. There are many bitcoin units but I only see satoshi and millibitcoin m BTC are two other units I need to remember. [Did you know?] Bitcoin Table of Unitshttps://www.learnbitcoin.com/deep-dive/bitcoin-unitshttps://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/UnitsThere is only one Bitcoin blockchain and bitcoin. The others are not Bitcoin blockchain despite which names and tickers they use. There are many Bitcoin forks but they are actually altcoins and shitcoins, while there are Bitcoin Wrapped tokens that are even not coins but tokens and they were deployed on altcoin blockchains. Wrapped Bitcoin tokens are very dangerous as their pegs to Bitcoin price might be depegged anytime.

I think they should develop a physical-digital coin, kinda thing. I mean a coin with digital connectivity to the encrypted wallet or data via wireless connection. Giving it a meaning. These collectible coins are getting old now. In the world of Artificial Intelligence we need something bigger than just brass or gold coins. Waiting for such AI powered bitcoins.

Honestly, this is my first time seeing a physical bitcoin coin because all I know is that bitcoin only exists in digital or virtual currency, it has no physical form or image like fiat.
However, based on my research, its just one of collector's items or token created by private companies, so it cannot be used to buy or invest. It features a hologram, meaning you will see private keys listed on the coin once you peeled it that will gain access to the bitcoin wallet itself.
My advice, just collect and keep it. its better not to be displayed because other people might wrongly accused you of having a lot of real bitcoin.
I thought i was the only one who is just seeing it for the first time, i know bitcoin for a very long time but I have not see it physically or seeing someone holding the real bitcoin itself before, but you are right about the coin that it is just like a something created to make people have interest or something to advertise more about bitcoin, anyone who know much about bitcoin will not see it as a real bitcoin because bitcoin have not reach the level where they will have it in hand like other fiat currencies we spend. Keeping it as a real physical coin is just a waste of time it can cause a lot of problem for who is holding it because it will surely draw the attention of some people who did not know much about bitcoin and start thinking it is real, some people will even find a way to steal it from you not knowing it is not real.

Like a physical coin that contains the extended public key of a linked cold/hot wallet? I like the idea ( for a collectible) but it's more of a gimmick watch-only wallet than a physical Bitcoin. IICRC, there are some people who took interest in a similar idea, sadly, it's not viable with Bitcoin and the workaround can be too complicated to be reliable. Plus others mentioned that it's going backwards, which is going back from digital to physical currency. I can't find that old topic though.

Guys I am curious about those Bitcoin coins 🪙
Don't use Bitcoin coins. You need to understand difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin. Bitcoin is a blockchain. bitcoin is a coin on Bitcoin blockchain. So depends on whether you want to mention about the blockchain, use Bitcoin, or the currency, use bitcoin. "Bitcoin" vs "bitcoin" | Do we know the difference? You might want to read the OP again because I read your post more than once, and still cannot see how your response is relevant to OP’s question. Makes me wonder if you have never visited collectibles section or just in an hurry that you didn’t recognise physical bitcoin. Guys I am curious about those Bitcoin coins 🪙
I want to ask what are you using them for? I have a gaming PC and I am thinking maybe I should get few and use them to design my PC built.
Is there anything else that Bitcoineirs use those coins for?
Not all coins are Bitcoin. There is only one Bitcoin, and there aren’t many types. If you see the abbreviation BTC, that’s Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a digital currency system. It allows people to make transactions worldwide without involving a third party, such as a financial institution. There are coins used for gaming, and those may not be Bitcoin (BTC). We use Bitcoin for transactions and as a long-term investment asset because many people use it as an investment asset—since we can’t use it for everyday payments. Again, read the OP to understand. He’s not using bitcoin for in-game purchases. He wants to design his gaming pc with the physical bitcoin.
