I believe they can be used purely for decoration, unless it's one of those that functions as a wallet, with public and private keys. Besides physical bitcoin coins, they also have Ethereum, Litecoin, and others. I'll be ordering some soon.

It's shocking someone still asking this question in 2026?

You've been on the forum and you've received merits too from prominent members too, so I think you should know what Bitcoin can be used for by now.

Since you got your PC, kindly Google search out what Bitcoin could be used for amd choose to use it either ways.

[...]

Although you are right that government money remains money of choice for local trades such as rent and food for its steadiness and commonness but line between digital and real is fading. For example, top sellers such as Square now give Lightning Network payments to 4 million businesses, meaning that next time you buy coffee you could use Bitcoin like you would use tap credit card. I believe the future is not about either/or, but hidden block chain future where your payment app may use Bitcoin to finish trades quickly and cheaply in background while you are totally not aware.

Guys I am curious about those Bitcoin coins 🪙
Are you talking about cheap Chinese coins or coins like Casascius (consisting of gold or silver and representing collector's interest as a rare artifact of the early bitcoin era and having a private key with access to the wallet with bitcoins)?

I want to ask what are you using them for? I have a gaming PC and I am thinking maybe I should get few and use them to design my PC built.
Cheap Chinese coins can be used for photos or as trinkets.

Want to use these coins as a design element for your new PC? If that's what you're looking for, why not?

Is there anything else that Bitcoineirs use those coins for?
How else can these dummies be used? I don't think there's any other way. Perhaps, like you, as a design element or decoration. These coins have no value.

Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room.
Well, if you're worried about the safety of your assets, then it's best not to show anyone your PC with BTC-coins. Smiley But then, why bother decorating it if you're not going to show it to anyone?

Just because you have a Lamborghini or a bag of money on your T-shirt doesn't mean you own it. Smiley

I think your concerns are unfounded (considering the country and location where you live. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that marginalized persons, not disfigured by intellect, might consider a PC adorned with BTC-coins a chest full of digital gold Smiley).

So you mean a bitcoin coin as a collectibles other people wanted to have this as a symbolized of having a cryptocurrency or bitcoin on hand other people wanted this as a form of collection only but most of the bitcoin coin ive seen has a value because there is a store bitcoin inside of it which all you need is to use the private key at the back afaik in the holograms sticker.

I believe they can be used purely for decoration, unless it's one of those that functions as a wallet, with public and private keys. Besides physical bitcoin coins, they also have Ethereum, Litecoin, and others. I'll be ordering some soon.
Oh i didnt knew that there is a coin like this such with the ETH most of the coin ive seen and listed on the market in my country are with the demand of bitcoin coin.

I want to ask what are you using them for?
The knock-off ones remain on the shelf, but I'm keeping the few collectible coins that I have in a display box... That said, I did use a redeemed Microsoul coin for a pumpkin-carving contest.

I have a gaming PC and I am thinking maybe I should get few and use them to design my PC built.
[...]
Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room.
It depends... How private is that private room? If it's one of those secret rooms that requires doing something to reveal it, go ahead.
- Out of curiosity, how are you planning to integrate it into your PC setup?
