Using metal to safe your password is good, the reason why I say it is good is because water and fire cannot destroy it. You can find a metal place it in a safe place inside your room and leave it there forever except someone destroyed it which is own hands or someone saw it and stole it apart from this nothing else can destroy it and I believe a lot of people will not think that something like that would be on that metal so even someone that is looking forward to see your password will not suspect that it will be there so it is a very good one to use. But if a newbie does not like the idea, then don’t use it, I will never advise someone to use an idea or something he does not want to use.

I know most people are using stainless steel washers or plates as durable metal backup, but I got another interesting budget alternative.
This are regular stainless steel razor blades that have been used for decades in many different DE Safety Razors.
Blades are thin but sharp and made from stainless steel, and some of them can have printing or be totally blank.
If you already use this type of blades you can basically use them for backup when they lose their sharpness, but I would suggest doing more dull on purpose to avoid cutting yourself.
I know KAI blades are totally blank but they are most expensive, but there are probably other similar you can find in local stores.

Durability is certainly not the same as proper thick stainless steel options, but this blades can be transported anywhere you travel inside your razor

Paper back up is still a reliable way to protect your recovery phrase, you can use multiple back up locations for extra protection.

I don't think we should be encouraging people to use only paper backup since natural occurrences like fire or water can invalidate it easily, although I get the idea of multiple backups and I can agree to using paper as an extra backup just in case, while metallic sheets acts as the main backup/backups. It's also good to check your backups periodically to ensure they're still in place and and untouched.

While I agree that the Metallic sheets like stainless steels are actually great to use as tools to write recovery phrases it shouldn’t still be an ultimate or rather the only back up that should be used if there is funds to do extra back up it is great to do that and save it up in different locations because even if most of these natural disasters actually happens later the metallic sheets might not be destroyed but there is a good chance of it not actually getting found either buried or flooded away. So the best choice for back would remain those in another location and this why it’s very important to have multiple back ups

You are right, you will an experience person that can help you engrave these worlds into a metal plate for you to keep safe. Since you can’t do it alone, you will need someone with no experience in crypto currency, or you should just monitor the process from the beginning to the end so that you will ensure there is no duplicate or any form of copy of your seed phrase to avoid getting access to the wallet in your absence.

Steel plates are more durable against water, fire, acid, erosion, shake, pressure and more but their physical form has not only advantages but also disadvantages.

With such steel plates, you will have to store them more carefully, securely and privately than other lighter backup stuffs like a piece of paper. With paper, you can more easily hide pieces of paper without issues because they're as same cumbersome and heavy as steel plates.

Definitely, these backup methods and tools from steel plates to pieces of paper have pros and cons, so make sure you do backups properly but the principles of securing your wallets and funds are like.

- Diversifying your bitcoins in different wallets.

Maybe best for people to adapt on what usual calamities happening in their places. Since if they are in flood prone area, then automatically writing their seed on piece of paper is not really advisable to happen.

But if they are also in environment or place which there are so many thief there are risk that the metal plate on which their phrase engrave might be stolen and for sure we could think about many other possibilities.

So best to have multiple backups, so whatever situation happens. We still have lots of ways to access our keys and funds inside.

Because it certainly has to be engraved and that is clearly not easy, especially for people who have never engraved at all. Besides that, writing your wallet phrase on metal also has some small risks, but it can be big if not taken care of properly. Namely, metal can also rust, and when the rust is severe, it can make our wallet phrase invisible and that is clearly not good.
