I guess many of us have gone through a similar experience. I can't remember exactly how it happened or which games were those, but there were times in the past when I didn't finish watching the games because I thought the end was clearly in sight. I'd only surprisingly learn later on from friends that the result was the other way around, and then you'd be happily discussing how it happened.

Sometimes, I'm also the one narrating to a friend how the losing team managed to turn it around in the dying minutes or even seconds. 

But I'm not the kind of loser that tear bet slips. Whenever I place a bet I already accepted that it could lose.

I experienced a complementary one, in the sense that I entered the room, a lady had dictated the numbers to play but the guy beat different numbers, the lady refused to pay the ticket.
The owner of the room had an angry and sad face in the same way, because he had to get the money out of his pocket and obviously he couldn't due to conflict of interest, he looks at me and says: friend, will you take this ticket? I didn't hesitate and took that ticket, the first numbers come out and I don't win anything, but we didn't realize that that ticket was for the next round (I was about to throw it away) when the holder stopped me and told me READ carefully before throwing it away it's for the next round, so I stayed another 20 minutes waiting for my turn and won a few hundred euros (I don't remember the exact amount) it was fun and I was incredulous.

Feeling like giving up because the team we support is falling behind at the start of the match is quite common. But becoming hopeless when a bet might lose is certainly not. I rarely follow all the matches I bet on. Maybe only a few I watch until the end. Winning at the end of the match is indeed enjoyable, especially if it is the favorite team you always support. There must be a mix of tense and proud feelings when the bet is finally won as well.

Yes I have experience such , and I think it’s normal for every gambler, especially when you are watching the match and found out the ones you picked are going south , it has happened to me severally , One moments I’m happy because they are doing well , the next minute I have gave up on the bet, what I usually do is bet and remove my mind, so my emotions can be on check , if before 10pm the games might have end , I will check by them , to know if it’s a lost or win , at least that can help? And this can happen in different stages, it could happen in the first halve of the match or even towards the end of the second halve, and you would see your favourite club loosing the match at the die minutes. Some type of game can make us to panic to the extent of even wanting to give up or tear our tickets, but that is not a good thing to do since no one knows what the outcome would be in the next minute. Let's take your story as a case study, if you had turn your ticket and this game happenes to play, what would you have done? You will definitely lose your won game. So it is good we exercise patient in whatever we do, despite the situation. There was a game I played some years ago, a parlay multiple that lasted for 4 days, the first 3 days played fine, on reaching the last day of the game, the team I trusted most among all selection was the one that started misbehaving to the point I started questioning the reason I selected it. It's a normal feeling for bettors, sometimes you stake your game and later you're not comfortable with your pick because you thought that you will lose the game and when you casually check it you will realize that your prediction was right. Other times you will be confident about your game believing that it is a sure win but after the game the result will prove you wrong. Well, this is what we could enjoy from gambling the rollercoaster of emotions with high swings that makes it more interesting but I get it, when you felt that this is the end, but at last, a miracle happens which also made you to be happier.

Yes, there were times actually that I became too hopeless and just thought that everything will still end up at a loss. Look at that! Indeed, luck moves in mysterious ways. The ticket was meant for you. I wonder how the lady who supposed to have it reacts when she knows the ticket she refused to pay actually won a few hundred euros. That's sweet. Your kindness paid off.

It seems you're really destined to win that day. Not only did you buy a ticket not of your own picking, somebody also stopped you from throwing it away. You could have crumpled it, threw it, and left without anybody noticing it. You're lucky somebody saw you and reminded you it's for the next round.

Yes, that pattern happens often in betting and it's one of the biggest emotional fluctuations gamblers go through. This happened to many of us I believe and is quite a common scenario to happen to gamblers who gamble frequently.
There are certain matches where the result is not in our favor initially but as the game progresses the outcome turns into our favor.
I had bet on a match once where the opponent team was about to win the match but my team score a last minute goal ending up the match in a draw.
Then in the extra minutes they won the match and made me a nice amount of money. Such matches obviously give us a great feeling because we win a bet we were about to lose otherwise.
