That’s pretty much me.... After I finish work and just want to relax for a bit, I open my phone, go to my usual casino and check the slot games first. It’s always the same few games too, I don’t even bother with most of the others anymore.

At this point it kinda feels like a habit already(hmmm....)))). Like after a long day, that’s one of the first things I end up doing without even thinking much about it.

Sometimes I wonder if I actually enjoy it that much or if I’m just used to doing it whenever I want to unwind. Anyone else the same?

It usually starts when you're bored, and before you'll be able to tell what's happening, you'll find yourself wanting to plan more. Even when you're occupied, you'll still find a means to click open your account just to gamble, and that's exactly how gambling takes root; it all starts normal until it's no longer normal again.

I would advise you to be careful and look for multiple things you do when you're bored and don't just rely solely on gambling because if you d you'll most like most likely regret it in the distant future.

It's just like me in the Olympus Gate game, and not when I'm bored, this is a little different from you but yes there are similarities in application where we feel like gambling when a moment occurs in our daily lives, I want to gamble with that chronology when it rains, I feel the need for grandfather Zeus to take out his lightning and strike the crystal fragments on my monitor, and sometimes if I'm free I do it, sometimes stealing time when working and the lightning rain comes, I'm a little excited at this kind of situation, even though it's not worth doing, sometimes I do it at work.

Ahhh never mind, we need to avoid responding to thoughts like that, don't indulge in it too much because it can trigger addiction too.

The signature campaign payment has been allocated to gambling.  I don't have such a mentality because I see the money earned here as a means to earn more cryptos. Well, I do not know, I definitely think that there are some of us here who must have made so much money that what they are getting from signature campaigns on this forum means absolutely nothing to them, but for me, I am going to be sincere, I do some times allocate a small potion of my campaign earning to gambling like playing slot or betting when ever I feel like, but this is not the major goal for me..

I use the money earned from campaign to invest in crypto mostly, then the rest, I will withdraw and invest it in my offline business because I believe in diversification, it is not proper for one to focus on one source of income as a family man and in this present economy that we are in, else, the future of such one may not be really good..
Crypto is the future and I believe that no matter how bad the market is performing at the moment, 10, 15 years from now we will look back to days like now and for those who did not invest, will wish they did.
I only gamble major for fun and this is why usually don't allocate much fund to this.

Yes, there is no doubt with that. It's a type of entertainment after long day and the gambler is so tired with all of the work that he's done, he gets to have fun through slots. ‎When you start gambling out of boredom, it only means it has gradually been made a part of your habits. In your case I won't really call it an addiction unless it's really out of your control, but be safe though. It's always fun to gamble but the danger is that it can eat deep into your finances, ‎so the fact that it has become part of your routine doesn't mean it should stop being enjoyable.

There are so many things we do daily that started as fun but later became habits; just like scrolling social media. if it's not affecting your finances then I think it's still safe and  there's no problem. but if it affect your finances then you already know you in the danger zone.

People can be easily motivated towards slots because of boredom and I believe that most of us have felt like that at one time. It is easy to lose all the payment when one does not have control over a small deposit that can grow into a large one. You know what it is like to be sucked into that cycle, particularly when it occurs over time. Nevertheless, it is a great move to learn how to control your gambling habits. I also concur with the fact that gambling using signature money is not bad as long as there is proper planning, but without proper budgeting and discipline, the money will be wasted and regrets will occur.

Yeah, it could be that we are bored and then immediately jump on gambling. There could even be gamblers that once they awake, they immediately go and wanted to gamble. That is what the internet has done to us, those small triggers in our brain and say that we should play.

So for me this is a bad habit, it's fine to gamble I understand, but if it's like being a pattern, then that is addiction already.

Might be better to break routine as it could really lead to something bad in the end.

Not exactly; I’ve got other things to do if I get bored, including – and though it might seem odd these days – just sitting around bored for a while. In an age of constant stimulation, mainly via mobile phones, it’s actually quite healthy for the brain to stop bombarding it with so much stimulation.

But when I’ve got money in my casino account and a balance, a good way to kill boredom is to play a few slots. What I don’t do is, if I don’t have a balance, deposit money just to kill boredom every time I get bored, as if I couldn’t do anything else and slots were the only thing that could entertain me.

I don't think about gambling in my free time. I have a lot to do anyway. I do not deny that gambling is entertainment, but it is quite rare for me. I would not like to become addicted to gambling. If you do as the OP does, then there is a high risk of addiction. It took me a lot of effort to get rid of smoking, so I certainly don't need another addiction. Therefore, you need to limit yourself and your desires. Sometimes I even deliberately play uninteresting gambling games, the most primitive ones. I recommend not getting rid of this habit right away, but instead reducing the frequency of your gambling sessions and replacing it with a new habit. First, accept that you will only gamble on weekends, such as Fridays and Sundays. To relax after work, it is best to play regular games on your smartphone, which will replace your gambling habit.
This way, your money will no longer be spent on online casinos and slots, but will remain in your wallet for more important needs.

It's not a bad advice, and I would like to say that I would also advise you to try to replace idle games with TV series for yourself, because not everyone likes games on a smartphone, but almost everyone loves TV series. In recent months, many series have been released, based on the Game of Thrones universe and the Ono series based on King. They captured my attention so much for a couple of days that I stopped playing poker and slots and stared at them. In general, the main point is really not to get out of the habit (it's impossible) and it is better to replace them with other hobbies that are less expensive. In any case, I understand that the author of this topic plays for fun, so I'm confident that he will be able to control his habit of playing slots.

I think there is not a problem when you want to play slots only when boredom hits and also you don't spend a lot of money while doing so and last but not least you don't keep depositing when you lose money. As long as you are in this category I think there is nothing to be worried but if you only think about slots in any condition be it happy or when you are bored and you cannot stay without playing them then this is a dangerous condition which shows you are addicted and you need professional help.

It’s probably great when you have so much free time that you have to think about how to fill it. In reality, that’s quite rare these days, it seems to me that such carefree time is mostly available only to children, and even then, not always. I think that if you feel bored, it’s a good opportunity to do something that improves your quality of life like study, exercise, or come up with a new idea for earning money. And when you’re tired and want to switch off your brain, you can play some games of chance to relax.

I haven't felt this way personally. I think this is a habit you have cultivated and I would say is a sign of addition. We all know the nature of gambling and what gambling is all about, the more you gamble, you loose more money, more especially when you are gambling under stress. When you are back from work , you must have been very stressed, and this is not the right time to gamble, but the time to rest very well and recover your lost energy. When someone feel bored, gambling is not the way out. You can visit friends and engage in some quality conversation and if something is behind that boredom, conversation with friends can help to relieve you. Some how, if you begin to gamble even when you are bored, the boredom increases, more especially when you are loosing.

There are so many alternative activities that you can devote your time.
