Who else here, when boredom hits, the first thing that pops in your head is slot

That’s pretty much me.... After I finish work and just want to relax for a bit, I open my phone, go to my usual casino and check the slot games first. It’s always the same few games too, I don’t even bother with most of the others anymore.

At this point it kinda feels like a habit already(hmmm....)))). Like after a long day, that’s one of the first things I end up doing without even thinking much about it.

Sometimes I wonder if I actually enjoy it that much or if I’m just used to doing it whenever I want to unwind. Anyone else the same?

You're right, I think hanging out with family is the best thing everyone should do when feeling bored rather than going to the slot to cool off,  and surely there's nothing wrong with that as a matter of fact, we all have the right to decide or go for something we know is best for us, but it is bad when we finally make this to be part of us, at least sometimes when you feel bored you should also think of other things to do it must not be slot, slot, slot all the time.

Family is everything. The hustle is for the family, when thing go wrong the family is the best place to be. If you have a supportive and understanding partner, I prefer you share your burden with her, you will find comfort in her hand. I don't support people going out to gamble, drink in every bar due to boredom. Every human feel bored to a point. Finding happiness is not too much, when you have people around you that love you so dearly.

However for you OP, looks like its already heading to something, addiction I guess. You made it a habit already, and what's next after? Eventually you'll fall on addiction just like others.

But there can always be an exception, that is if you are confident that you can still manage your high emotions. Its never bad to make it a habit, as long as you set your limits and has never cross your boundaries. Otherwise, you'll get doomed in the end.

We all have that one thing we do when we are bored. When boredom comes knocking, we already have that one thing in mind. I can read majority of the comments, people here saying stuffs like it is out of place to consider slots a fun thing to do when bored. As long as you are on a fair budget and don't let it get in the way of your productive activities, then it shouldn't be something to be bothered about. Everyone says gambling should be for fun and entertainment, now here's someone who wants to kill boredom with gambling and majority are not cool with it. Just advice him to be disciplined with gambling, that's all.

Well, that's just how OP managed to kill his boredom, and I see nothing wrong with it. We live with different life's preferences, and probably gambling could be part of it. The only key here, just don't fall into the trap, and everything will be alright.

If you are doing it for fun, make sure you don't cross that line, just gamble when you think you need some entertainment, and keep track with your emotions. If you don't, you know where its heading to, so always be cautious when gambling.

Yes, the key is to stay safe, because once we're trapped it's difficult to get out even having the intention or determination doesn't guarantee it. If you've gambled before and experienced winning, it's not unusual to think about gambling when you're bored. It's not a problem as long as you don't do it too often and ensure you maintain firm discipline.

Yeah, it sort of looks that way, the habit he is making could easily turn to addiction if he is not careful enough. Boundaries will for sure help.
For me I just feel like they’re other things to take care of boredom than gambling itself.

There is need for a total control where it concerns gambling because it is very addictive, if you don't control your urge to always gamble everytime you have free chance that means that you are headed to addiction. Slot is a very addictive game because there is no skills involved you just get into it and start to enjoy yourself and if you're not conscious of yourself you will spend all your money and time without knowing until you finish your bankroll. It's ok to hit the slot when you're bored but not everytime, sometimes you should look for other activities to occupy your bored moments or free time.

Why don't you try introducing something different to cure your boredom for a change. Instead of always gambling, take up a different activity. Read a book, partake in a sports activity, climb a mountain and sit there overlooking your city and surroundings. I used to have a punching bag in my previous house. When I was tired, sad, angry, or bored, I used to go downstairs and punch the sh** out of it. It's therapeutic.
