Altcoins to invest in for long-term return?

Many altcoins are like casino a bit? you can win fast but also lose very fast, no stability like bitcoin. But I dont fully agree it only luck, some altcoins has real use, good team, good development. Problem is most poeple dont reasearch, they just follow hype or influencers, then of course they crash.

Interestingly, I would have love to know of the alt coin you think are reliable like Bitcoin, because my sentiment here is that, their is no other crypto that is even close to Bitcoin in reliability. What you have failed to understand about alt coin is that they are just like gambling, because our of a total of 100 coin, it's only like two or three that blossom, and if later in the future you still invest heavily on those coins that blossom the last time, you will be disappointed badly because it's another coin you never expected that will skyrocket, not that particular coin again, that's why they are more of gambling than investment, because they are unpredictable and they hardly survive the market for long, unlike Bitcoin that always rally back to the top and even set a new all time high after it has crashed so hard as it's doing now.

Bitcoin is more safe for long term, yes, this I agree. But altcoins can still give good returns if you pick carefully and dont go all in like crazy. For me I do like this, big part in BTC, small part in altcoins for higher risk or reward and always take profit, dont just hodl forever like people say.

I agree that investing in altcoins carries significantly more risk than Bitcoin, and I do not have any recommendation on which altcoin people should invest in. I do not want to be blamed or held responsible for anyone.

However, I disagree with your assertion that those who profit from altcoin do so simply through luck. It is just because you can not do it, you do not know how to choose altcoins to invest in. That does not mean other people are as bad as you. Do not impose your thought on other because everyone has different abilities.

Altcoins are risky, but the crypto industry is not just about Bitcoin, and it is not the only project that can be profitable. Many people have become wealthy thanks to altcoin.

Unfortunately there will always be people who will claim that there will be coins and tokens which will go up a lot. Typical way is that "you missed bitcoin and you regrated it, do not miss... and you won't regret a second time", type of stuff.

They are acting as if the token they are shilling will also go up like bitcoin and if you are not buying it, then you are going to miss your chance to profit. 99.99999% of the time, those things just go to zero or very low and not go up like bitcoin did.

Many people missed on the train, so they buy altcoins with the hopes of obtaining the same returns as Bitcoin in the long run. I'd say it's already too late for that. Crypto is too mainstream these days. Especially with "Wall Street", banks, and governments in the game. It's the reason why altcoin season hasn't made a comeback yet. Everybody is "hodling", while only a few are "buying".

All of the attention is on Bitcoin right now because of its store of value properties. We can't predict what will happen in the future, so I'd hope for the best.

Right, most altcoins or meme coins rely on luck for their profits. Because most of them have weak fundamentals, their prices increase mainly due to hype, trend, and crowd psychology. From this perspective, they behave a lot like gambling, so there is no way to deny it. But there is an important little difference here, that in gambling, the outcome is completely random. On the other hand, in altcoin investing, the outcome is uncertain but not completely random. That means if you do research, manage risk, try to understand timing, then many times it works and the probability can be brought in your favour, but in gambling, you have to rely completely on luck.

On the other hand, my opinion about 'careful picking' is that it does not give a full guarantee but it is not completely useless either. Those who choose an altcoin a little seriously, look at its project, whether the team is legit or what the tokenomics is like and whether it is based on hype or whether it has a real use case or whether it can solve a problem, then altcoins perform better than random gambling in the long run.

Not everything but a minimal portion would be luck when it comes to those shitcoins. Not everyone can make profit here but the ones making profit are already making a fortune out of it. Making profits with these shitcoins is not a cup of tea for everyone. There is huge risk involved which can even liquidate the entire account so only those who have higher risk appetite can consider investing in these risky coins. I won't suggest this to people like OP as they lack experience and coins like these can gulp people like OP in no time if proper attention is not given.

Finding the appropriate altcoin will be a task for OP but once he finds the coin, all he needs to do is pour his investments and continue holding for longer duration of maybe a couple of years without expecting quick profits. OP can make really good profits for long term if he can stabilize his mind.

What do you mean when you say "good future potential"? You mean that they will last long like what Bitcoin did? They will have the same price movement as Bitcoin? They give the same returns just like Bitcoin?

If you're thinking that altcoins can do that then I'm afraid they will not. They could give you higher rewards as majority of the altcoins are more volatile than Bitcoin, but in terms of risk, Bitcoin is far lower compared to altcoins even Ethereum. Speaking of Ethereum, I would want to recommend it, but after it's disappointing price movement during the bull run, I'm having second thoughts already about it.

Despite of the disappointment though, I'll still buy some Ethereum for the long term, and aside from that, I'm interested in XRP and HYPE as well so I might bought some of it in the future as well.

The ICO boom brought a lot of innovation back then. Lots of projects were focused on utility instead of speculation. Too bad that regulators messsed this up, because now the market is full of garbage. I understand there were a couple of scams in the ICO days, but strict regulations only made matters worse. It's this day where scammers are rampant across the industry.

There are many "shitcoins" with no value/real purpose on the market. It's hard to tell which altcoin will turn out to be a good, long-term investment due to the unpredictable nature of crypto. I'd diversify my money into top-tier altcoins and forget about the rest.

As you know bitcoins are the best when it comes to cryptocurrencies so you should definitely add that to your list. Maybe majority of your portfolio can consist of bitcoins and the remaining portion can include top altcoins like ETH, BNB, Monero, etc which can give you exciting profits for long term holding. To be honest, almost every potential coin can give you profits for a longer run. All you need is a lot of patience and extra funds kept aside. You can easily double down the entire invested money within a year or two if you remain consistent and keep holding the positions.

I would still suggest you not to enter the markets all at once. You can explore options like DCA to minimize risk while investing. DCA can be really helpful for you but again, you will need to be consistent when it comes to investing while using DCA strategy.

ETH and topcoin are not bad options. But if the OP goal is to find altcoins that can yield huge profits, such as x10 or x100. I dont think those top coin meet that requirement. ETH, BNB, or SOL may offer better return than Bitcoin, but their growth potential has been somewhat limited by their large market capitalization.

Moreover, even though they are top coin, there is no guarantee that they will maintain their growth momentum or survive in the long term. Investing in altocin can be likened to gambling, so each person should do their own research and make their own decision instead of relying on the advice of other.

Why all these praises of bitcoin when at last you will be looking for an altcoins to invest in. If I may ask, have you invested in bitcoin? If yes, continue to treat it as a long term investment strategy and buy a few altcoins for short term purpose. I am saying, because it makes no meaning to have many long term options while only bitcoin can do it.

In terms of investing in altcoins, I would also recommend Ether because it is a coin that can give good returns in the long term. I would not say that the current price of Ether is very high. Because we know that it is about half of the previous ETH. If there is a big positive response in the altcoin market like Bitcoin, then the price of Ether can increase several times. Before the last bull market, some predicted that if the price of Bitcoin exceeds $100k, there will be a big change in the price of Ether. Although no such movement has happened yet, something like that can be happen in the future. If there is a situation to hold for the long term, then investing in Ether will be a wise decision. But if the financial situation is not at that level, then there are some small coins that can give good profits in the future. In this case, I would suggest XRP and SOL. Everyone should exercise utmost caution before investing.

If you are prepared to hold for a significant time like a decade than I think you might surely make massive profits just by holding bitcoins or one or two other altcoins from the top 10 list. You can look for coins with real-world utility like BNB as the demand will keep on rising which will give you great profits. BNB might stand out for you so you can consider making some more research and only invest if you feel the same. Never trust anyone else or rely on other's opinions. Try to make your own analysis and only after that, you can make actual profits.

I would suggest you start buying bitcoins and BNB in portions and try using DCA to minimize entry level risks. You can always average the price if you keep buying for a couple of cycles. Just try not to get carried away.

Nowadays, it is quite rare that new coins can stay in the market and prove their quality. Most of new coins only survive for few weeks or months, then they disappear or be delisted from exchanges. No real innovation, most new coins are only copying the idea of old crypto projects. Competing with the existing crypto coins that they have large market caps already, it is like "weathering the storm' (too hard mission). The chance to survive will be very small. So, it is a wise decision that you prefer to choose old coins that have developed and survived for many years.

Shitcoins shouldn't be an option for our investment, especially for a long term holding. Top altcoins must be the choice if we want to buy altcoins for a long term holding. BNB, SOL, TRX, XRP, ETH, ad HYPE are some worthy choice. Just avoid Doge or other top altcoins with bad progress recently! We must ensure to hold the most promising altcoins only for a long term investment.
