The store of value

One thing I always remind myself when playing slots is to treat it purely as entertainment. It’s very different from sports betting, because with slots you can’t really analyze anything, so there’s no consistency. With sports betting, at least there’s a chance to study and improve, so maybe that’s something worth trying if you want a more controlled approach.
I do not also see anything to improve in sport betting because most sport bettors are also losing. There is a betting site in my country, the betting site does not have have casinos but just sport gambling. The betting site is growing in users and they are making money from their customers. The man that has it is growing richer day by day. I see all as entertainment.

Has anyone else experienced being incredibly bored of slot games and not even wanting to hear their sound even for a split second?

After experiencing continuous losses (even though I could afford them) I can't help but think slots are incredibly boring and not worth spending any time on. I tried several games, even went for lower volatility and for promos but still the losses kept piling up. In the end the urge to give up was incredibly large.

Now I'm at a point where I can't even conceive the idea of playing slots again. I've never experienced losing money so fast in any other casino game. Even if you want to exercise restraint, with slots, you simply can't. Maybe it's a logical phobia that I developed but I think it might also be just bordom.

On a side note, if you ever want to get rid of thoughts to play a certain game, maybe try to convince yourself that it's boring answering to yourself with all the reasons why it's a fatiguing game whenever you think of playing it.
It is best to move away from gambling where you feel bored. And the way you explain it, I think you should quit playing slots soon, otherwise you may get even more bored. Gambling is perfect for entertainment. Getting bored with gambling does not bring any entertainment at all. You can stop playing slots and focus on sports betting. When you focus on sports betting and participate in it with a small amount of money, you will find that you can enjoy the entertainment. Then don't feel bored anymore. I don't like playing slots at all because it seems completely risky to me.

Take a break, that’s normal in gambling. You win and you lose, not every day is your lucky day.

The problem sometimes is we tend to go over our limits, thinking that betting bigger will give us bigger wins. But in reality, we forget our actual chances, and we’re not really winning in the long run because of the house edge.

If you look at slots, the RTP is around 96%, which might sound high, but the house still has the advantage. That’s why losses happen more often than we expect.

So it’s better to reflect on that, not just rely on optimism to win, because that’s not really a realistic approach.

This is a very common feeling with slot games. What do you expect from a game that has no real skill or strategy, just some repeated patterns that get boring over time? I have been in that situation before. Trust me, once you are consistently losing, you will naturally lose interest in the game. What else can you do? Nothing, because there is no skill that can excite you or help you win. You just have to stay helpless or focus on other games that pique your interest.

That’s probably his focus, that’s why he was upset when he lost. It’s part of the game we love, when we lose, we naturally feel bad. That’s normal for gamblers, not just in slots but in any type of game.

The good thing is that feeling is only temporary. We’ll be able to move on and start again, it’s just part of the process.

The only way to avoid feeling too upset even when losing is to make sure we’re betting within our limits.

Imo, it’s simply because you can only have fun when you’re winning. You wouldn’t feel that way if things were going your way. You don’t get tired of the game, you get tired from constant losses. Even if the amount we lose is within our means, it still gets exhausting when you keep losing. Some gamblers have been there but still choose to continue. If you feel tired, take a break. After that, decide whether to quit or keep going.

On a side note, if you ever want to get rid of thoughts to play a certain game, maybe try to convince yourself that it's boring answering to yourself with all the reasons why it's a fatiguing game whenever you think of playing it.

What you are experiencing is more of a financial fatigue than just boredom. When losses keep piling up, even if you can afford them, it starts to drain you mentally. It’s not just about the game being boring, it is the feeling of constantly putting money in and not getting anything meaningful back. That alone can make any game feel tiring and uninteresting. Slots especially can do that because everything happens so fast, you don’t really have control and before you realize it, your balance is already down. So it’s not surprising that you have lost the urge to play!! because like it or not, there is nothing exciting about losing money.

I've had such experience in the aviator game during when I was almost getting carried away with it over the interests of fun. Sure I enjoyed playing it tirelessly and while hoping I'll win big profit some days and unfortunately I've been so unlucky in the game for a long time, I begin to realize that I'm spending much over the unprofitable events, I begin refrain to the  extend I had no option than leaving the game behind as it's almost like becoming a mental stress for me since I couldn't find my luck around the game.
So I took it upon not to play it again while commonly hears the sound of the game from others end playing it makes me uncomfortable like I hate the game for personal reasons which others may not understand my inner feelings against the aviator game.

Losing makes a game boring even if you gamble for entertainment purposes, after a while no matter how much you think you are interested in that game it would become boring when you start losing. I'm not really a fan of slots but I have experienced the same thing with crash games and I'm at the point where I don't even want to put a dollar into it. This all started when I was experiencing a losing streak for weeks and it felt like the game was against me, it became really boring so I had to take a break for a few months till whenever I decide to start playing again.

I believe every slot game player was once on the verge where the game sound and click would feel somewhat irritating due to the loss of fun that happened while playing the slot game, which is mostly caused by a losing streak.
What I always do when i am at this state is get some fresh air, which some people will say touch the grass, and after that if i still have the urge of playing the game i will continue but if i dont have the urge or still having losing streak, I will quit the game for days until my gambling psychology, etc are good.

Don’t worry, that won’t last long. Eventually you’ll forget your losses and start missing the game again, then you’re back to playing like usual.  Grin

LOL ME!!

I always come back to damn slots hahaha. Slots out of all casino games is what I'm most hooked on TBH. It can be pretty addicting.

But they can be really ruthless and I would say is likely to be the most profitable game in a casino, thus I always try to expect I would lose all my depo lol. It's a good mindset for me so I don't overspend especially redepositing again and again in one single sesh. I did not have good experience from those actions, and have also noticed my emotions are heightened which can be fatal for sound decision making.

But at the end of the day, I will probably still play slots LOL.

That's what's happening to me now, starting a few weeks ago. It doesn't mean that I've completely stopped playing slots, I'm just bored of playing for a long time, hearing sounds or patterns that I already know. Especially when I play Gates of Olympus, there is no joy like before. I think it's normal because we've been seeing it for too long, maybe it takes some time to get used to it, maybe we can move our bets to the sportsbook first.

It's why I specifically love playing slot games by hacksaw games provider. There is the Super Turbo spin option plus those autospins  Grin
There is no way I am going to be seated there looking at every spin. All I put in the settings is for the spinning to stop on a special feature win

The reason I hate nolimit city games is that even when you try to set it up to spin as first as possible, it still feels slow

I can totally relate, that is basically the reason why I don't play slots games anymore, because there was a time when I used to play too many slots games, and we all know what the outcome must have been, obviously, loss after loss. Even if you manage to get some money back sometimes because of the RTP, you end up losing that again if you continue playing slots games after that. I got so bored and tired of playing slots that I finally decided I will never spend a lot of money on slots again, even if I want to try them, a few spins are enough and then out immediately.

I have not only stopped playing slots, but I have stopped playing all sorts of casino games, or I should say that I now don't bring big budgets when I'm going into casino games, so that even if I lose, I shouldn't lose a lot. I spend most of my time into sports betting, and believe me, it has been a game changer, because previously, I would usually end up losing my bankroll in a very short time, but now I mostly end up making some profits, because I only bet on games where I know the team I'm choosing has higher chances of winning, so I don't lose a lot.

Actually, this is quite a common occurrence, almost every gambler who has ever played slots has experienced it, particularly those who frequently suffer higher losses.

On the other hand, for me personally, although slots are a game based purely on luck, they remain one of the best games i still play to this day. Indeed, when losses exceed your budget, slots cease to be a form of entertainment and instead become an emotional rollercoaster with every spin. Even if you decide to stop, believe me, it’s only temporary, you’ll return once you have money and a calmer state of mind, that pattern will simply repeat itself.

Slot games are not stimulating enough, especially after playing it for a long time. It's not competitive, or challenging, it's just pure luck, that's it, nothing there anymore, especially if you keep on getting the same results over and over again.

If it were stimulating, or more exiting with varieties and maybe a little change in outcome, that is, winning some and loosing some, then the excitement and urge to continue will be there. But yeah, slot game can be really really boring some times

Yeah, probably if you came from a huge lost, and so you think it might be better to just stop playing for a while and not going online to hear your favorite slots. Although in our household, we have our favorite game which is the scatter so from time to time I might hear it from the background as someone will be playing.

Could be effective tip on how to trick our brain. But then again, everything is mental, there are other vices like drugs or smoking that you can get rid of by just shifting your mentality. And it could be similar to gambling as well, but very hard in the beginning.

Well, no, it hasn’t happened to me, but when I’ve reached a point where I’ve got a bit bored, it’s been because I’ve been on a losing streak. Slots are designed precisely to keep people from getting bored, with that mix of small wins and bigger ones that keeps the excitement alive.

But I stopped the sound effects a long time ago because they’re addictive, and from what I’ve seen in the forum comments, I’m not the only one.

After experiencing continuous losses (even though I could afford them) I can't help but think slots are incredibly boring and not worth spending any time on. I tried several games, even went for lower volatility and for promos but still the losses kept piling up. In the end the urge to give up was incredibly large.

That’s usually what people say before they go on a slot binge. Lol.

I've never experienced losing money so fast in any other casino game.

That’s for sure. With slot machines, you can lose money extremely quickly.

The losses is the problem, you are psychologically resenting slots since you're recouping your losses in it, its the losses, believe me, I've been there before. Mine was crash games and since this year, I've never gone there. even though it's the amounts you can afford to loose, consistent losses feels somewhat like a curse.

On a side note, if you ever want to get rid of thoughts to play a certain game, maybe try to convince yourself that it's boring answering to yourself with all the reasons why it's a fatiguing game whenever you think of playing it.
Here you go Grin, feeding your subconscious negative information about it could help, but not for a long time, you'll be back soon... Maybe when you're done getting angry at slot for the losses. This randomness shit can piss us off at times right?

On the other hand, it maybe boring for you OP but for me I had a good time clicking on slots ( Physical casino) though really dont care on the promos but I went there for relaxation asking for roaming assisting personnel for their cold drinks or sometimes beer and just enjoying the time. I can say that I spend more than an hour spending some time on slots. But I get you not everyone find it relaxing.
