As I said yesterday in the World Cup discussion thread, betting on Brazil to win was a bit risky because Brazil are no longer as dominant as they used to be. And as we saw, having Haaland was enough for Norway to defeat Brazil.

Then after about 80 minutes isolating and controlling Haaland very well, Gabriel had a moment when he gave Haaland too much free time and space so that the striker made a head shot and scored an important goal for Norway. There are moments in the match as twists and changed the match entirely.

It's unlucky for Brazil when their players made mistakes and lost this match, and the same for people who bet on Brazil in the match. They no longer have world class wing backs like Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Dani Alves and Marcelo, in the midfield they no longer have quality midfielders like Kaka, Ronaldinho, Juninho and remember that in the past even Juninho had to accept a substitution role. In attacking front line, they no longer have Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Adriano, and the fact is Neymar is a best player they have had in the last two decades.

I feel sorry for them for everything they've been through. As far as I remember, they struggled during the qualifying rounds until Ancelotti took over as coach of the Samba team.
