The growing conversation around Obi - Kwankwaso growing alliance reflect a deeper  frustration among Nigerians who feel trapped in a cycle.of hardship and limited opportunities. Supporter of Peter obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso believe a united front could represent what they describe as break out from "Renewed Economic Slavery". A system where rising cost of things, insecurity,. unemployment and government challenges continue to weight heavily on citizens.

While some see this potential alliance as a symbol of hope and reform others still remain cautious, questioning whether political alliance  alone can bring about real change. In the end the conversation highlights a key point.  Nigerians  are increasingly demanding a leadership that prioritizes economic freedom, accountability and a better standard of living for all.

What's your take on this.

To be sincere I really don't have faith in Nigerian politicians anymore, but I will rather support the Obi-  Kwankaso alliance,  not because I fully believe they will change the system, but I am just tired of what President Bola Tinubu and his APC having been doing to this country. Since APC took over government the country has become worst, so I am really tired and at this point I am willing to try new people and hopefully they can make the country better for us, but sincerely as I have mentioned earlier,  I have lost trust in Nigerian politicians.

Tinubu wouldn't let anyone take over the seat from him until, he is done with his second tenure. This is why I see the next upcoming election as a fixed one because INEC has been bought over and they have no option than to do as the person who bought them wants. Maybe, after Tinubu second tenure, I can think of a new president. Your votes don't count.

I understand why people are talking about this alliances because right now a lot of Nigerians are just tired of how things are going so anything that looks like a different direction like Peter obi and rabiu kwakwanso coming together will surely give people hope. For me I support the idea not just because of the alliance itself but because it shows that people are ready to change. The hardship is real and people just wants something that actually works but at the same time I don’t think it should end at coming together. We have seen different alliances before so the real question is what exactly will be done differently this time because at the end of the day Nigerians are not just looking for new combos of leaders, we are actually looking for real results that we can feel in our daily lives.

Well in my own perspective this alliance is a nice one because it births a glimpse of hope in this critical trying time for Nigerians, APC leadership right from Buhari to this current Tinubu administration has been really unfair to Nigerians, it’s just been one chaos or the other ranging from poor electricity to poor economy and above all high level of insecurity with associated killings.

Obi, Kwankwaso alliance with the ADC is a relief for most Nigerians, however i must emphasize that am still skeptical about their alliance because it’s not the first time such alliance is playing out, during the 2023 elections similar alliance would have occurred but quest and greed for power between Obi and Kwankwaso and also unnecessary tribalism tarnished the effort, the issue was who will become president and who will become Vice President, both parties wanted to be the president, i just hope that similar thing won’t happen again this time, once the opposition is not completely United they can never defeat Tinubu as a singular body, only unity can make them win, i do hope they get it right this time.

What's your take on this.

The moment some political moves starts to look like a desperation for power, then it is worth questioning.
I'm beginning to question the whole purpose of the alliance, but that doesn't mean that I don't want a change of government. Infact, I literally don't want anything concerning the ruling party again. This was literally were the other popular political party got it wrong... Handling power willing. At this point, we are currently trapped in a system where power is likely to remain in the hands of a single political system/party for years to come because they've already vowed to handle power in years to come. Nobody can compete with them at this point including the supposed alliance.

This is exactly what I was telling someone today that all the noise people are making on social media is just for nothing. Tinubu is a heartless man and he doesn’t care what it will take and who will go down just for him to continue and complete his second tenure. With all the governors on his side and the heartless politicians on his side, I don’t see any way that Tinubu will lose this upcoming election. People will vote but INEC will announce the results they feel and anyone that’s not satisfied should go to court and we already know who controls the court.

The Nigeria current situation is not an avenue to form alliances or start some kind of shitty campaign, as a matter of fact we’ve seen same circle over and over with failed promises and nothing yet to show off. There’s absolutely no one good person, each time I see post about campaign for the current president I get shocked and more surprising our politicians keep on flaunting with speech that doesn’t even matter when there’s a critical condition that needs everyone attention. I wonder why news field about presidential position keep getting more views which clearly shows every single candidate is after the seat not minding the masses after what happened recently.

Politics is actually deep probably you might never know who’s sponsoring whatever, these issues are obviously not the problem because when the time comes we all know how these election stuff works. The economy is failed, including the structure is destroyed and the leaders are watching. so let’s guess, If any of the so called featuring candidate is given same opportunity to change the system are you certain things will change? This is really serious and needs critical thinking not just making decisions according to emotions.

Naija politics matter self don tire me, dis man wey Dey power now ready to do anything just to win the second term, we all know how desperate d man Dey for power, him ready to take out anything wey fit block am from winning the second term. Dis alliance I no dey sure say e really make sense, because I no sure say dis two people go for unseat tinubu. With the look of things now maybe na Kwankwaso go wan be president, and Obi go be VP and if dem arrange am like that, Obi go lose plenty supporters, because everybody know say for dis country VP no Dey do any work, dem no get any say na president be d main thing.

I just hope dem go fit unseat dis man wey Dey power now, d matter don tire me, e just be like say we no get
President for d country. See how dem Dey kill people for different parts of d country, and dis man just luck up like say nothing Dey happen.

This APC government is not a weak government like the Goodluck Jonathan's PDP that failed to uphold his second term in office. Tinubu is ready to do anything to ensure he retains his seat no matter how you feel about it. On the other hand, Peter Obi and Kwankwaso are well reputed over the years with landmark achievements in their previous political offices. Nigerian politics is not always a free and fair election of which anyone that insists on a free and fair election will loose out just like GEJ in 2015. Nigerian needs a change, a transition from evil leaders to leaders that have the heart of Nigerians. Obi - Kwankwaso may be the answer that Nigerians have been waiting for. But will they win the Jagaban team?

Sometimes when I hear opposition in Nigerian politics, sometimes I just laugh out loud, what makes you think that Peter Obi and Kwankwaso would be able to defeat a seating president when you couldn’t beat him when he was a President in the last polls, I absolutely think that right now everything isn’t going to work for good, and it would be a very terrible situation if anyone thinks that they can successfully defeat Tinubu, Because Peter Obi wouldn’t be ready to do anything that should be done to remove and seating President, Currently now I don’t see any candidate that would be able to defeat the current President.

Realistically unseating someone like Bola Tinubu is not something easy at all because he his ahead of all of them that really thinks they can unseat him but I don’t fully agree that it’s impossible. Politics can shift quickly especially when people are frustrated. That is why we can see now that the support around Peter obi and rabiu kwakwanso shows that a lot of Nigerians are still looking for an alternative. Defeating Bola Tinubu depends on unity, strategy and how well they can convince people that they can truly offer something different. The bigger issue is not about who even wins but whether there is a strong enough opposition to challenge power and keep the system working and well balanced. It may not be easy to u seat him but writing it off is how real change never even gets a chance.

Honestly speaking, there isn't any hope in Nigerian politics because this people are the same the only different thing here is that they defect from one party system to the other, all of them are birds of the same feathers that won't bring any changes to Nigerians but still embezzlement of public funds, their interest of embezzling public funds is higher than the interest they have on the masses and that's why we keep suffering, i can tell you that even though Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso wins the upcoming elections , Nigerian will still be suffering from insecurity, unemployment and killings, none is better.

The only relief that Nigerians wants is that Tinubu shouldn't return for 2027 election and if our votes will truly count, he won't have been voted for because he has brought nothing but pains, suffering and hunger to Nigerians, Buhari is better off than him, the only challenge we have is unseating Tinubu which is not an easy task but needs revolution to make it happen.

You're very correct mate. It's not just about shouting that you want to unsit the current president, the question is are you ready for the game? Any president can be defeated but it depends on if the opposition party is fit for the game. Buhari won GEJ in 2015 because he was fully prepared for whatever it will cost even if everyone will die. What makes a powerful politician is your decision to win at all cost and that feature is not contained in Peter Obi because he believes in doing things the right way. If he also decides to play dirty, he will be criticized for that and he wouldn't want to get emotionally blackmailed. Left for Kwankwaso, I would say that they can unsit the Jagaban government because he knows the game.

However, we can't be too sure, I know that everyone wishes the Obi - Kwankwaso coalition could be successful, so I can also say that is not impossible. It all depends on how ready Nigerians are to call this suffering and oppression to an end.

Before this time around I was having hope but honestly i don't really know what to say about 2027 now, because the president Tinubu is doing a lot to damage the oppositions, forcing everyone to dance to their tone, he is trying his best to make everyone comes to his side by giving billions of naira which should be used for the Citizens are now being used to secure their second time, this shows clearly that these people are not after our well-being, because if he can sincerely spend that money on the cities honestly they doesn't need to campaign for himself because the Citizens have seen where is heading to and that will help him secure his second time.

The ADC is having a big challenge now the Apc Inec doesn't want any party to contest with Tinubu come 2027,  the Inec just deregistered ADC living the party without any leadership even when the court recognizes the David mark excos.

It's a very crazy time of our democracy, that we're gratually turning into one party system if APC achieve the deregistration of ADC the only opposition party in Nigeria, but having Peter Obi and Kwankwaso ticket is all we need to unseat Tinubu government, he can't win them and he knows, that's why he's Afraid to contest.

I support your point not because there’s full trust in politicians but because people are tired. After what people have experienced under this APC regime so it’s normal for people to want something different even if they are still not hundred percent convinced. Backing Peter obi and rabiu kwakwanso at this post feel more like giving another option a chance rather than blind belief but is this option also the right one, this is a question we should ask ourselves? At the same time I also agree with you on the trust issue because so many people have lost confidence in politicians generally not just one party so the support now is coming more form frustration than from the strong belief.
For me it’s not about who is perfect but can we really find someone who can even give a slight improvement from where we are and what’s happening right now. At the end of the day we all just want and hope for something better than what we are currently experiencing.

I understand your plight if you say you do not have any faith left for Nigerian politics because politicians have used politics as a means to make excessive money over a short period of time. They rely on the access they have to public funds and use the same avenue to embezzle money and enrich themselves and their family. Nigerians do not do anything short of this. It is a very soft way to make good money. They have done this over a long period of time and it is why somebody like you do not have hope on the politics of the country again. But from my own assessment, it is better to go with a Peter Obi - Kwankwaso ticket than to continue with this mess we are facing today. At least this Obi-Kwankwaso matter makes sense to me becuase with a combination of them, it won't be a boss and a servant style of president and vice president like we currently witnessing, it will be more of two men who have oftentimes bragged about making Nigeria a better place with their trajectory and credentials.

I don't oppose the two candidates but my question is will ATIKU allow that? You guys should know that ATIKU left PDP for a reason so he won't allow any opposition to sidelines him. I think ADC have OBI, Ameachi and ATIKU who wants to contest for the presidency. If they were to do Primary elections I feel Atiku will win it base on his influence in the party unlike which Obi doesn't have. The only way for this to work is if Atiku allows OBI to rule for 4 years because that's the info am hearing, the South must complete their eight years. I am not sure Atiku will agree because Age is already catching up with him, and we have some political leaders who are eyeing 2031. To me oo this 3 candidate will cause alot of issues in the party and amongst their supporters. I see the sitting president finishing his eight years. ADC are still having some problems.

My brother, you don talk well. Truth be told, as I see the obi- kwankaso alliance, wetin first go through my mind be saying, all these politicians na the same, and these names no too look bad until when them enter power, na that time you go see their true colours.

But wetin you talk wey sweet me is when you talk say no be say na them go be the best, but you go fit manage them and you don tire for wetin APC and bola tinubu government dy do for the country.
I just hope say them go win this upcoming election, even though the possibility of that happening is very low.
