This approach would not be too practical. It will only create more problems such as the costs of relocating, looking at the gas prices now, relocation would be a very bad idea and would likely cost more than shortages in food supplies or whatever you mean by shortages in the local stores. What if that person is currently living near their work area? Then moving out would just make them farther away to say. Besides, you can rely on other agencies or independent businesses that can get you what you need.
For some people who still live near their workplace, moving due to the crisis is certainly not a smart solution because they will have to incur additional costs to get to work, which can be wasteful if they weren't already spending money on it. Therefore, moving simply to escape the crisis isn't a solution for everyone, although it can sometimes be suitable for a small number of people who truly need to take such a step. Because when a crisis hits, almost every region is affected, so moving elsewhere is pointless if someone can't save money and increase their own income.

If you live in a rich country, probably you will never experience deep crisis. The state / government will protect its people. Your guide will actually help though.
Doubt that, you gonna need to look after yourself, nobody is gonna be saving you in time of crisis because it's called crisis for a reason, if government can protect its people it won't be called crisis in the first place.
In time of crisis shit just hit the fan the government would be in chaos and things are just going very wrong. Best course of action is to reserve and save something to prepare for times like this.

There are several other benefits to such actions.

1. If you can reach your destination on foot, this process improves your health.

2. Less money flows into the state treasury. This method of struggle is suitable when power in the country is held by force. Repressions are constant.

I constantly urge people on social media to reduce their taxes in order to overthrow the bloody regime in the country. Without tax payments, there will be no state.

Some of you here might have never actually lived through a crisis. Fact is that it has happened before and it will continue to happen in the future. What to actually do during a crisis even if you’re not directly involved in the region where the crisis is happening?

1. Start eating at home. Yes, ingredients are expensive. Gas is expensive. Everything is expensive to cook but so is ordering out. For the meantime, it’s okay to maybe pause your dinner plans and just eat at home.

2. Active commuting. Transportation expenses are through the roof. If you can, just walk to your destination. Not only does it save you money, it also saves your life by being healthy.

3. Ensure emergency fund is secured. We don’t know what will happen or how long this crisis will last. Make sure you have enough money to survive even without an income for at least 3 months.

Judging by your advice, you yourself have no experience of surviving a crisis. In a real crisis. When there is simply no food in the shops, there is no money, there is no soap, there are no cigarettes, there is no washing powder, and there is nothing except bread. So the advice about saving money for 3 months is ridiculous. Where will a person get money if he doesn't have a job either? And even if he robs someone on the street, he probably doesn't have any money in his pockets (although this is not the worst working option for surviving a crisis - to go to prison, because at least the prisoners are fed there). But all this happened in Russia 30-35 years ago. And believe me, the last thing people cared about back then was the price of gasoline. The price of gasoline is of concern only to those who have not yet felt what a real crisis it is.

1. I do agree with you on this geopolitical situation eating dinner out is considering crazy when grocery and gas price alone already crazy.

2. Use public transport is the best with or without high gas prices because you also support the environtment

3. One of my friend already prepared for the worst scenario they have started to withdraw their money from the bank to hard cash. Buying canned food for weeks and buy other stuff.

We must prepare ourselves against any unforeseen contingencies and also against any kind of misfortune that may lead to crisis, we have to leave a sensitive life style and also be guided by information so that we don't miss out on what is necessary for us to prepare against before happening, so that we won't be caught on prepared for in an unexpected situation and get us stranded.

I follow a rule of not going out for food except twice per month. That is usually enough to cover special occasions for the family.

Use the public transport and not a private car. This helps a lot in reducing the costs spent on fuel. Use the free services rather than subscriptions, that cuts down major costs from the internet bubble.

However these are regular things and not specific during a crisis.

During this war, fuel became a problem, it will not get solved by these approaches.

There are different levels of crisis. During war people are focused on survival, so there will be a total collapse of economic activities. There is another level of crisis that would not totally paralyse economic activities. Currently, many nations are going through a fuel and power crisis because of the war in Iran. Nobody knows how long this will last, so the OP's advice might not be out of place. Now, everyone is seeking means to reduce costs, and cutting down our expenses is ideal to maintain financial stability during this trying time. The price of products might increase, so having emergency funds is important.

Bike and walking really saves but with what I can see now, owning an EV is also an advantage. There's a conspiracy that this war is also promoting that, due to the oil crisis, they want to surge the EV sales and that's why a lot of working people started to own it. Getting some stocks also of foods and groceries are very essential in surviving in this crisis. And the usual ones, never spend on something that's unimportant, just only spend on the things that you need and with the necessities.
It depends on the needs that what is expensive just like nowadays oil has become very expensive due to the war so everyone feels that if we owned an electric vehicle it would be beneficial but still those who do not own an electric vehicle are also facing the price of oil.Well the war has affected many things and during this time the price of oil has been affected more.Well you are right but not only because of the crisis. We should control our unnecessary expenses anyway so that in the future if there is any difficulty it will be easier to face it.The situation of the crisis is a lesson for us.Spending on unnecessary things is not good for us.

There is no nation in the world that no matter how rich it may be that will not have one crisis,  crisis is part of human beings. Every country is prone to crisis it's not about how good the economic development of such a country may be. Crisis can erupt out it all depends on the people that exist in such countries. We have seen how even in countries were dictators live people have come out to protest.

Even if the country you are living maybe free of crisis, it's expected that you take guidelines like this because you don't know we're you may find yourself. Because its always said that information is power and can be a very great tool when the need arises.

I think what you shared is very useful. Cooking at home really reduces costs. You can make it sustainable with a shopping list and simple recipes. The active transportation suggestion makes sense. Walking or cycling saves both money and promotes health. An emergency fund is a must for me... I think it's best to keep at least three months worth of expenses in liquid form and start automatic savings.

My suggestion on how to overcome the consequences of crisis and also promote good living is by investing the little you're earning to agricultural production. What people feel most during the crisis is feeding problems due to closure of the entries or borders which makes foods to be cost for the people but once you've it in your store even if the crisis arise, it will have a great advantage for you and entire community.

One of the advantage it has to community members, it will save life and also reduce their stress for moving from one place to another  to purchase it and will  also reduce there cost and the great advantage it has for the owner is that it increases the productivity.

Countries in the world are now starting to feel that if the war continues for a longer period, their situation will be much worse. And in the case of the developed countries that have oil reserves to manage, the price will not be so much affected. The poor countries is already facing huge problem. I have just seen some news about the price of oil going up around the world even just after starting war. The more time passes, the more its effect will come to visible. Because currently all activities are related to oil. If the price of oil continues to increase, the price of everything will increase. And every country in the world is dependent on each other. That is why it is very important to stop the war quickly and let the whole world return to normal.

All you have said OP are actually helpful. But I think what's most important in time of crisis is not to lose a job that will provide a sustainable income. With that, no matter how essentials are becoming expensive, survival is still guaranteed because there is a job and a continuous flow of income.

Crisis will always be present, but with different level or impact. But if you have a strong support system and a reliable job, things will always be manageable and won't go into worst.
