After an epic double-fight Bivol Vs Beterbiev, first won by Beterbiev and the rematch won by Bivol, many speculated that we could see a third, deciding fight between those two, but it's not happening anytime soon.
It was recently announced that Dmitrii Bivol's next fight will be against IBF mandatory challenger - Michael Eifert.

Eifert is a German boxer with 13-1 record. He's currently aged 28, so seven years younger than Bivol.

I don't know what the odds will be for that fight, but I expect Bivol to be a huge favourite. Especially knowing that the fight will take place in Russia, Bivol's home ground.

To be honest, i'm not too familiar with Eifert and i could say that this will serve just a tune-up fight for Bivol before his 3rd showdown with Beterbiev, noting against Eifert but this is just the way i saw it as Bivol is just a tough nut to crack and now it's only Beterbiev that has the chance to defeat him.

Yeah, very interesting that Bivol will come out after a long hiatus and fight a no-name fighter. Maybe he is in the top 5 of any division not sure though. But I do agree that this could be a a tune up fight for Bivol. He needs to shake up that ring rust first and maybe go after a trilogy with Beterbiev.

Beterbiev though is the older of the two and that defeat shows that father time is catching up with him. But if he wants to have that one last big fight with a huge paycheck, then he should look for a 3rd fight.

No odds for this fight yet. It was reported that this fight will be in the under card Oleksandr Usyk V Rico Verhoeven. But now it will be it's own card.

Michaele Eifert is rank number 1 by the IBF, and number 6 by IBF, two of Bivol's belt he held. So I don't think that this is a tune up fight as this could be mandated by the governing body themselves to fight Eifert specially IBF. So it's not going to be easy sailing for Bivol here as Eifert won't be the number 1 if he hasn't had a good resume. Here's their boxing records:
