Statistically speaking, the longer you spend in a casino, the more inevitable it is that you'll see something incredible. If I were waiting for Jesus to come, I'd definitely be doing it in a casino 
Regarding your suspicions, yes, they are logical, as technology can easily skew roulette results (so that the ball lands in certain sectors less often than others). The problem is, it's not necessary. The casino wins anyway—why would they need to rig anything?

It could either be an accident or it was meant to happen. Yes, it could mean that it is being manipulated or the dealer just made a bad mistake.

Anyway, I won't go pondering about that since there will be no answer that can be backed up by facts. I am not into details when it comes to casino games. Maybe that is why I don't like playing them whenever I visit a physical casino. I'd rather just go to a poker room and play that small tournament type that will end in just a few hours of play. No one can cheat on that because you are up against players, too. It all comes down to who is the most skilled in playing it.

I have not personally played in a local casino before, but I have watched roulette being played on the ground in several videos as I enjoy it, and this is the first time I'm coming across such an experience, and I will say it calls for some kind of suspicion. Maybe they have something which is pulling the ball out when they notice it will land in a number that will give a higher amount of payout to the bet staked; since you noticed your winning streak wanted to change to a losing streak, leaving was actually one of the best decisions you took.

Then suddenly, I decided to go and take a closer look on the spins, mind you, it was a busy roulette table a lot of bettors and a lot of money in the line. So I don't want to lose my good position right opposite the roulette. But I want to see how it will be and so I go on the side to witnessed the ball spinning. However, this is the first time that I have seen this, I was surprised "when the ball suddenly dropped while the roulette was spinning." And so the dealer call the boss and she pick it up and spin again, and the number that it dropped, only few bettors have place a bet on it. I didn't win, but I was really disturb by it, first time in my 15++ years of playing roulette that a ball for unknown reason drop and it got me thinking that if there are unforseen forces that really push the ball out like a magnet.

Lost that one and the next one, so I decided to stop as again, something might not be right as if someone is controlling it, or maybe it's just me.

You are thinking that the game may have been manipulated? With magnets? Maybe. But in such a case I think it would matter how tough regulations are in your country and how likely it is that any casino could cheat with a manipulated roulette table. A magnetic field could be detected with a compass. Next time bring one with you and see if the needle on the compass twitches at any point on the table. Although I am not sure if they will let you do that.

There’s really no need for them to cheat since roulette already has a big house edge. The casino is expected to win most of the time anyway.

So I think it’s more likely just a normal occurrence during OP’s visit, something that doesn’t happen all the time. Otherwise, casinos wouldn’t survive if gamblers constantly accused them of cheating. That kind of situation doesn’t usually happen in legitimate casinos, unless you’re playing in a place with a bad reputation. But honestly, who would even go to those kinds of casinos.

Gamblers thinking can be surprising at times, but I have also thought like that before but my case is different. I have been using reputable gambling sites but the first one that I played roulette, it got to a time that any bet I made, I lost up to 7 or more time and it was consecutively. I left the gambling site for another gambling site and I later noticed the same pattern. I tried another gambling site before I accept that house edge truly exist and I should not call it manipulation. The case of OP is even still better, it can easily be search for online and notice that it is not manipulation.

I would not be surprised there are some stuff going on with that roulette which is used to rig it against gamblers, though.
It would not be the first time it has happened, it has been already documented there are roulettes which are rigged with magnets in order to land in specific colors or numbers according to what suits the house the most.
Those things and tricks (which are illegal) are common in small, shady and unregulated casinos in developing countries, so one needs to be careful with it.

That is one of the biggest advantages of playing in casinos which offer probably fair games, one does not need to wonder whether one is getting scammed or not. One just needs to learn how to verify games.

I have not experienced this and no body I know have also had this kind of experience before, it's a very unusual experience which if it happens, it's better a player should take a break because it definitely an abnormally that caused that to happen so it's good that you stopped so you won't lose every money you had on you as a result of the error from the game wheel.

Some roulette machines have a transparent glass which prevents the ball from falling apart while gambling, and most especially the automated roulette machines. But there are also some roulette machines, most especially on physical casinos that don't have transparent glasses, and the chances of ball falling off it while spinning is always very high. And that has absolutely nothing to do with either increasing your chances of winning or losing. Because judging by the fact how you claimed you were able to turn $60 into $200 with few bets, it is obvious you may have thought it is your lucky day and kept gambling, and unfortunately losing everything, and now trying to apportion blame to the ball that fell out of the roulette machine as the reason why you lost your bets. Whereas, in a nutshell, you were literally unlucky.

The most exciting thrills in the physical casino's is when you don't abuse the privilege of playing at your comfort.
Whichever game I find much enjoyable to play, I usually give it some timing gaps so that it doesn't become one of those casual games. I think the same time gap you like a holiday you gave this your favourite roulette game is why you feel this excitement after much you've stayed far away from playing it.
In the very exercise, there's usually a welcome back with lucks but not certained and when you act with greeds, definitely you'll leave empty handed because when you think you're winning by your superstitious belief, then the casino will prove you wrong.

You can't really beat the house edge in the long run. You may feel it is the manipulation of the site but it is not. This is why a gambling business is quite lucrative. If you know how to manage, you can really get good money out of it.

Well, I guess one learns something new everyday... I next roulettes were tested and assembled in such a manner they are fair to gamblers, but I had no idea their wear could be translated in such a manner in which that wear could be taken advantage of to win money from the casino.
It is certainly troubling, because it is a fact that small and low budget casinos are less likely to perform maintenance on their roulettes as often as they should, so there could be people who could take advantage of that bias you mention.

I wonder what kind of maintenance it is needed to keep a roulette fair in the long term...

Probably due to wear and tear the ball lost it's grip or the dealer spun it harder than it should?

But it can't be a factor that manipulates the results, it's still the same old ball or a new one even if it's new the ball should be round and fine to start playing with no guess at all. I guess your luck ran out.

They replace the ball right away after it dropped. I was hinting that it should have been stop right there, but no they let the game continue as if nothing happens. So I was thinking that maybe they really manipulated the results. Yeah, I know, my luck will ran out, but not like that circumstances.

If something like that happened, the casino will declared all the bet void in a way the casino and the bettors do not lose money. The casino may also check the pill to make sure that nothing happened. They will check what that could have possibly caused it or maybe it was just the force the person that spilled the table used.

Maybe if this is in online games, they would have to stop it and review. But I doubt that they will voided it, the bet stays in place. I have seen wherein the dealer made a mistake in rolling the ball so they stop and clean the roulette table and replace the ball.

This got me thinking, though I have never heard of this before, but it could happen elsewhere as a result of some technical fault from whoever spun the dice. It could be that it was intentional by the casinos as planned to disrupt the gaming session, which is such a stunt to get them distracted while they have a way to do what they want in their favour, so they could get more profit, and nobody understands what happened there because they were distracted by just a mere dice falling out from the roulette board and that is just it and they have their way. One thing we should know is that a casino can likely do whatever it can to retain its money if it is running low on its bankroll.

This is also what I'm thinking, but who knows. Because I have said, I have more than a decade experience playing roulette and haven't seen this one. That's why it also get me thinking that they might be manipulating the results like what we have seen in the movies about some magnet. But it's just pure speculation.

I do not deny that it looks odd when ball goes on number where there is very small amount of bets, but this is usually just chance that we notice more when we are losing. And fact that dealer went and reset game with boss just shows that casino was following strict rules of making sure that ball was spinning fairly.
I think you were right to walk away, since when you began feeling like game is being changed then your focus is not on having fun but on being scared, which will usually end in making poor bets.
These mechanical No Spins are in fact becoming more and more common in recent times, with casinos having high tech sensors that make sure that ball is spinning in way that it is meant to in order to avoid giving unfair games.

I don't think that it's about wear and tear, as per the description, the ball was goes out of the roulette machine and it could only happen if there is some outside force that totally interfere with the ball itself. So this could be a unique case indeed and it's hard to explain. But for superstitious gamblers, we might all think that the casino or someone watching above make that ball spin out of control and drop. But as what we have seen in the thread, there have been different interpretations as how this suddenly happen. Yeah, I'm familiar with that story of families trying to find a biased machine and won, but they were eventually caught in the end. But here, it's totally different story.

This is what I thought would be the case, cancel the session and start again since the game was interrupted, but they didn't even though it's obvious the players are seeing exactly what's going on and OP have observed it clearly, some players wouldn't agree on a normal setting until the process is restarted, citing bias. I believe if the pill have landed where more money was placed on, they would've owned up to the manual glitch, they allowed it because the payout was low where it landed which is to their own advantage.

I still believe the falling off was an accident, I know the casino has its own house edges implemented, but I don't think interruption of the game flow would also account for a house edge.

Well, I've never really played any roulette myself, but I've been where the game is being played and this is actually one the gambling games I've had in mind to learn how to play, and I am really looking forward to making out time to learn how to play this game as I believe that knowledge on it can be really helpful in the future..

Now, talking about the ball falling off from the roulette machine, I've never seen or heard of this possibility before, this is the very first time I am reading/learning about the possibilities of a roulette ball falling off from the machine's lead/guide, and like some other persons are saying, this might be the casino's strategy of cutting off some or most players purposely causing them to lose, but whether this is true or not, I really do not know, but one thing I am certain about is when a casino have made up their mind to manipulate a game, they can do anything to achieve their aim..
