~snip~ You would not even need that much solar panels, the logistics is the problem, the ability to get energy from sun is easy, the ability to transfer that energy to homes is the hard part and we are failing at that to make it more mass available. If we can make sure to find a way to make that cheaper, then oil will not be needed as much as it is needed right now and we will do a lot better.
If there is already a distribution network, then it is easy to transfer energy from any source - where there is no such infrastructure, the only thing left is an off-grid solar installation, preferably with batteries that will accumulate part of the produced energy for the night period or days when production is lower. Fuel would have long ceased to be the main energy source if it weren't for the extremely powerful oil lobby that is trying to ensure that oil continues to be black gold. However, in developed countries, solar power plants and electric cars are becoming more and more common because their prices are much more affordable than they were ten years ago.

We are going to reach that stage whereby which country we have to depend on the oil of other countries and the refining process completely, though I cannot blame other countries that are being affected because they don't have this natural resources available in abundance in their country and therefore they have to depend on importation from other countries in other for them to have a sustainable supply of this same oil some are having in abundance, only that even at the fall of the oil price, the retails and end users fuels there is nothing changed about the price since the effect is not being felt from them significantly.
Public is afraid of the petroleum market because War has been stopped but there is no contract between these two countries which is not good for the all World. There should be an agreement between these two countries and and if no one will surrender there will be a War after few weeks because Donald trump is very angry and he want to establish his country but all World is facing the crises. All countries are using the oil in limited quantity because they want to save their resources and people are not going to the gathering. Many countries faced hard time because they want to survive in that crucial time. Iran will not surrender because they want to sacrifice their lives for the country and they have millions of people who will sacrifice their lives for their country.

I am from Indonesia and my government does have a plan to suggest 1 day of WFH work in 5 working days especially in the government sector, but I don't know if this is efficient or not so far what I think is that a government service cannot be all like that, but some parts may have to be cut because on the fifth day it is usually not optimal to provide services, That is the first, the second is that my country's government will enforce the use of bio-fuel B-50, this is the result of refining diesel with 50% diesel, this is enough to reduce imports and this will be very good in the future to reduce dependence on imports, and there are several other inventions that might be implemented, it's just that they are still in the feasibility stage.

Countries are dealing with high oil prices by using less fuel. Some have shorter workweeks, work-from-home policies, fuel rationing, and lower fuel taxes. Others are giving free or cheaper public transport, storing more oil, and encouraging solar power, bicycles, and electric vehicles. The goal is to save fuel until prices go down. Most times when the issue of oil price as an energy comes to mind, the next thing that comes to mind is how to substitute for renewable energy sources which is absolutely the right step to take but, something that isn’t looked at very often is that, these energy sources are not cheap, cost of installation and maintenance (not often) don’t come easy. While the cost of oil has skyrocketed, one way is to adjust your energy consumption by avoiding working long hours, driving about for every distance and not having to be conscious of how you consume energy. You ought to be aware and that would prompt you to take actions that would require you to use even less energy.

It will not work well, services must still be provided well, especially since government administration in our country is still very bad because bureaucratic administration is very slow, especially if it is cut, this will greatly limit services and will be even slower. The results of downstreaming are expected to reduce dependence on imports, but it does not necessarily run smoothly, given the huge demand, what if the war gets bigger, which makes it very difficult for us to get imported goods and the domestic economy can be paralyzed. To be honest, I am disappointed in the government that is concerned with the MBG program in the current situation, which in my opinion the government should increase production in the domestic energy independence section so as not to be dependent, make more refineries and improve technology for crude oil processing, Indonesia does not have much storage so that the oil produced is exported raw to neighboring countries that we should be able to process and export finished goods to have more value, not too proud, they will forget themselves while still relying on imported goods for domestic needs.

Fuel is very important for every country because almost 90% of the products that were using today are also processed through fuel, what I actually mean here is that petroleum is very important because it's determined how the economy of a nation will favor their citizens, immediately the fuel rises everything in our Society start to increase because all those things were transported by use of fuel and once the fuel price go up a lot of things changes.
In my own country some people are blaming our government for making thing happening like this, because they all believe the fault is from him but not knowing that they were affected globally. Honestly our comment is first in a lot especially now that election is getting closer and this are things that opposition uses to counter their performance which it is reality because people have seen and feel it.
Fuel is definitely the most important factor to run the country, without it, a lot of operations will be stopped, especially the inflation will increase first, even if the government tries to balance the rates, the actual rates in the market are going to be higher than theirs because the vendors are spending more, and they sometimes do whatever they want to do so they increase rates by themselves and once caught, they are arrested for it too or fined. But the point is, situation is different everywhere or some things are just the same, like inflation. Politicalally it gives an edge to oppsotions but if the public is smart enough to understand why the rates are up, and how they will go down, they don't have to vote for opposition, or sometimes the card that public have to play is the one to vote opposition, because this way the current government will try everything to do things right.

There’s an interesting situation in my country, Ukraine-this week, gasoline prices started... to fall.
The peak price reached 78 UAH ($1.77) per liter of 95+ (which is what I use), but today you can easily buy it for 71 UAH ($1.61) per liter of 95+. At the state-owned gas station chain, the price is even lower-69 UAH per liter ($1.56)-but the quality of the gasoline is somewhat poorer.

In reality, the increase in fuel prices is more a result of various speculators wanting to make extra profits by taking advantage of the situation with Iran, than it is due to a disrupted supply chain. Most of the oil passing through Hormuz is for Asian markets, and fuel prices are rising in the US and Europe? Look at the price for 1L 95 in Bulgaria and ask yourself why it costs only 1.5 EUR https://fuelo.eu/

There is one thing i noticed about the dramatic increment in price of gasoline because of the closure of the strait of Hormuz by iran in previous weeks. That thing is, if one has a government with a sympathetic heart they must definitely find solution to those major problems affecting the citizens and that is what the Ukrainian government have done now, even as it is not up to standard but at least those heart destroying challenges can still be settled to an extent and cost of living maintained to an extent even if not completely settled.

What's happening in your country?
Something quite interesting is happening in my country right now. Since fuel is subsidized by the government here, we’ve indirectly been spared the full impact of the war and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Fuel prices here have only risen slightly. This is possible because, as we know, Indonesia has many allies. So when one supply route is cut off, Indonesia takes the initiative to find an alternative route and that approach has been quite successful. Additionally, many public transportation vehicles here have taken the initiative to switch from gasoline to gas. I personally interviewed several public transportation drivers about this move. And apparently, using gas is indeed more economical than using gasoline. Ohh, and the odd-even system for vehicle license plates in Indonesia has been in place for several years now. however, this measure was implemented here not for fuel savings but to reduce traffic congestion on the roads.

However, in developed countries, solar power plants and electric cars are becoming more and more common because their prices are much more affordable than they were ten years ago. I see wider on US strategic interest on oil, for US, selling oil not only about selling energy but more for keep maintaining USD domination on global trade, US cheaper debt cost and as a pressure and foreign policy tools through financial sanction. As long as oil still become the global traded backbone and oil trade using USD, it can help US's financial power and leverage. Considering its importance for US economy, US will keep oil not loose its geopolitical meaning even there are energy transition. If USD demand decrease, it will strategically give bad impact suach as debt cost increase, leverage to use sanction decrease and US financial global grip will be weaken. So, US will use any measurementto ensure petro dollar not eroded too quickly.

Gasoline prices never go down in my country. The thing is that, if anything happens that forces them to make it higher, like this war, they make it higher, and when it does go down, they do not make it go down, they just keep it high. Now that part sounds very unfair, and I agree that at that moment it does feel quite unfair.
But then we realize, it is not allowed to make it go up that easily, there is this deal with government and all the gas companies in our country, and those oil companies all have to agree at the same time and get government approval, government usually does approve unless something major is going on, but they all have to agree.
It means, they just do not make it go down when it goes down, because then make it go back up is harder. So what they do instead is that, if they are profiting more, when price is low, and they still sell for high, they use that profit to sell for cheaper than what it is when it goes up, that way, we both benefit. People benefit when oil prices are high but we get it cheap, and they benefit when oil prices are low but they sell for higher.

No doubt oil prices are increasing by every passing day due to all that is happening in the world. And the reasons that you have mentioned that closure of straight of Strait of Hormus and the attack on the facilities in the middle east are the two main reasons for the lack of oil supply in the overall world and different countries are taking different ways to encounter this issue in our country Pakistan government has taken multiple steps to encounter this issue one is school colleges and Universities are allowed to work from Monday to Thursday on-campus and on Friday they have shifted the classes to be online and Saturday and Sunday will be off.
Similarly, for offices and factories they have asked the employees to do work from home in multiple sectors. For markets, marriage halls and similar areas government has announced to close the shops before 8:00 p.m. those who will be seen with their shops open will get a penalty. In coming days government is working on imposing a smart lock down to encounter these issue in a positive way.

This is one of the challenges that we are facing. The price of oil has gone up. Let's even start from that, how the price continues to go up, and let us start from how the war affected the whole global economy, because who would have imagined how the impact of the war, and even oil, and there is no way that people can do without fuel, because even aircraft need fuel, and many more, so this is something that we need and even with this situation we don't have choice.
We can wait for all these things to be resolved so that things can actually go back to normal, because the prices of fuel is just becoming seriously expensive and a lot people are no going leave there car and even go for bike just to cut down cost.

Gasoline is essential for personal transportation, logistics, and other needs that, if not critically important, are certainly very significant. But we must understand that these are subsidized measures that place an additional burden on the budget.

I believe the citizens will be extremely glad to witness that happens, because its going to be a great benefit to them and at least that will help to minimise the cost of their transportation. With this current economy that we're living in now, utilising the natural resources and using them appropriately is the best approach. The availability of those natural resources is a great blessing, but people choose to follow their own instant and they allowed corruption to lead.

The impact of the selfish decisions of world leaders is not limited to the countries directly involved; many neutral countries are also feeling the pressure. Especially for countries that are heavily dependent on fuel oil, the situation may become more difficult. In such a situation, many countries may gradually turn to electric vehicles. On the other hand, walking is also good for people—an old but effective way to stay healthy.
I am not sure, but I have heard that some workers in countries like the Philippines or Thailand have decided to walk long distances to work. This shows how much the energy crisis can affect the daily lives of ordinary people.
In my own country, oil prices have been stable so far. The government has also urged people not to panic and to remain calm, because the country has its own oil production and the supply is said to be secure for now. However, the reality is that domestic production is not enough to meet the entire demand. Therefore, we still have dependence on imported oil through the Strait of Hormuz, and if there is a problem there, the impact could eventually affect our country as well.

The most effective means I see that we can use in tackling inflation is by having an alternative source of income, this is not only about oil price increase, body entire economy is also not smiling as inflation becomes the order of the day, do you have the ability to meet our daily expenses, or is living more tedious than expected, this is where we can't depend on the government alone as rescue to some of these challenges except we take responsibility for ourselves.

I am pretty sure that we are not going to see this becoming an issue, and because of this reason we need to realize that it is not going to be easy at all. We should be considering how this could be something that will take some time, but that doesn't mean that we are going to see this be an issue for the long term. I understand it may not be easy to handle, but it will have to be something that we can definitely handle by governments being smart, instead of corruption going rampant during this time. Taxes solves almost everything, we pay more taxes than we should, and yet it is not enough and governments are still in debt, that is the reason why everything goes bad, if we could do better, pay less taxes, like just 5% of our income, then suddenly we are saved.
