The only reason we say holding is better than trading is because if the risks involved,  trading has so much risk involved that got people scared and that is why every investor who wants to grow will always prioritize the one that has less risk, which is holding to the one that is more risky.  If you haven't been into trading before and you want to start, it is adviceable  be careful in order to chose the right part because it is always very confusing the path to follow, whether you will hold or you will trade. If you are looking for immediate gains, trading is the best answer, but the risks involved is another thing to consider, and if you are looking for a future profit, you will go for holding because it is the one that needs patience, and also less risky.

What is good about holding is that it saves you in future, and it is the reason lost of investors fancy going into it. Therefore for every beginner going into trading, it is adviceable to follow the one that won't stress you emotionally and mentally, somei that will give you assurance,, not something risky. So holding should be you preferred choice.

That’s exactly how it is, and that’s why investors who say you should invest in assets where you won’t lose money are often right. And as a result, you’ll make money. But those traders who are constantly chasing maximum profits, of course, can earn a lot and even for quite a long time, but what’s the point if they still lose all their earnings later due to one bad decision?
So it’s better to be a patient, calm investor who doesn’t expect a 10x return on investment in a month. The one who knows how to keep it in the first place is the one who adds to the deposit.

One thing I’ve learned about assets is there is no single asset which can give you 100 percent guarantee in terms of profits because even the assets we regard as sure ones are not sure in all sense of reality. About 70 percent of the assets we trust are not guaranteed as well, it is just somply because they have succeeded long waves of fluctuations and still withstand those losses and it’s why they are considered more reliable and majority of them are not so lucrative due to how much people have invested.

There's no guarantee that a person going into trading will make a quick gain either. The person may go after quick profit and end up  with losses, he may start out as a gainer in trading and end up as a loser because trading is the real gambling and gambling has never been an investment. A long-term investment will save the stress and help the investor to avoid wasting all their strength watching the price and losing money at the end.

Just so that you don't get so high hope of the long term holding of bitcoin, it is important to remember that even though investment is way better than trading and more trusted in the long term, it is not also guaranteed that holding bitcoin for a long-term will bring profit. But the point is that, you could perhaps, never lose your capital at the end. This justifies why it is also important to only invest in bitcoin using the amount of money you can afford to lose at all time.

If a beginner or any investor invests what he can afford to lose, he can ongoingly accumulate bitcoin without stress and perhaps hold for a long term.

Let me brief it.

Trading is good if you understand it, but some people will never understand how to trade but they will continue to lose. If you have been losing in trading, it is a good advise for you to just hold for bull market to come. You still have time to earn weekly or monthly and safe part of your money in bitcoin and make more researches but avoid shit coins. Do not let it be too late before you will understand this. There is opportunity in crypto.

But if you are making money in trading, it is good for you. Earn money and hold also.

Both trading and holding have two advantages. It is possible to extract some instant profit through trading, but in the case of holding, you have to wait for a long time. In this case, I think trading is very risky. To do well in trading, you must study it, learn it, otherwise it is more likely to be damaged in trading. In the case of holdings, you only need to know about the currency you want to invest in. If you can buy and hold good coins, it is possible to make a good profit in the future bull run.
I still find the ideas of comparison to be irrelevant because, if you think about it trading is more risky and more profitable, but holding is risky but only profitable in a long term not a short term. So in most cases you will have to choose which best fits your schedule and which doesn't. I know trading takes a lot of mental stress on a person because of all the technical analysis, studying, evolving strategy, keeping your emotions in check, and so on. But at the end of the day we still see people journey into trading. So to me the risks aren't the issues they are just another step that you have to overcome. And the more you as a trader or even an investor do that you will start focusing more on the major compared to the minor. So to me individuals differ a lot. There are most people who both invest and trade at the same time so yeah, it's all based on the individual capacity and their capital, that's all......

In the case of Bitcoin, many people also think that if Bitcoin is managed properly, it is possible to make a sure profit in the long run, but the main thing is that no matter how well you manage Bitcoin, at the end of the day Bitcoin will never give you a sure profit. In fact, such a guarantee is not available in anything, everything involves risk and good investments only have good possibilities, but there is no guarantee. And that is why, accept this reality well and be aware of the limitations of your ability in the case of an investment, and maintain good risk management, success is not easy, and those who think of getting rich overnight will basically go further towards destruction.

There are  not any  assets that are risk-free. And it is not right to assume that the risk is zero. In any investment, the priority should be given to preserving capital. A trader can make significant money through a few successful decisions. But overconfidence in those profits can lead to the loss of a large part of the previous gains or even the entire capital. It is also important to have the ability to retain the money earned. Decisions should be made with realistic expectations in trading. If the goal is to make 10 times the profit in a month it pushes a trader to take on excessive risk. It can be easy to chase big profits quickly. But to survive in the long term risk control and realistic expectations are much more important.

I think this particular part only depends on the one we choose, some persons prefer trading while some prefer holding, and how better one is to the other depends on the person using it.  Trading brings quick cash, therefore, to those persons who do not have the patience to wait will always prefer this one. While holding carries minimum risk, and requires a lot of patience, it's also carries some issue associated with it.

However, one common factor about the two is that they all require you to make investment and that is done with your money. In trading,  you need to be super conscious if the amount used because it is very risky, while in holding you need to be cautious of the project you are investing in so it won't remain domant after some months or years.

It is certainly true that holding assets is safer than trading; if your analysis proves flawed, you risk losing your capital, so I would suggest that holding is a better option than trading. With holding, there is no fear of completely losing your money; even if the market takes a downturn, it is likely to recover and grow later. Experts often advocate for a holding strategy, and I believe trading is not suitable for everyone. On the other hand, holding does not require complex strategies or extensive experience simply exercising patience can yield good results making it a much more accessible approach for everyone.

Much more safer and for those that are scared of losing money should just focus on holding rather than them trading because trading is obviously not for the weak it had to be something we are prepared for everyone can become a holder but not everyone can be a trader because of the kind of work that trading  comes with we have to be ready to I accept that fact that trading is hard and that is why people are even scared because the fear of losing money is crazy.

And when you talk of which one requires more experience I will go with Trading because if you don't have experience you can trade but holding you have to understand the basics and if you are no longer interested the only thing you need to know or do is to sell but the complexity of trading is when ever anything goes wrong that money is gone is as simple as that.

Trading is not for everyone. Trading requires managing your emotions. It is not possible to become a successful trader with just a little knowledge. The impact of wrong decisions immediately affects your capital. Using excessive risk can increase the level of losses. In volatile assets like Bitcoin, you also need to be mentally prepared to endure large price declines for several years. Holding does not happen just by buying and holding. The ability not to panic and sell during a major decline is also an important part of this.

It is not necessary to start with large sums of money directly to gain experience. It is more reasonable to learn first and understand your own risk-taking ability. Holding is relatively easy but not risk-free. Trading is more complex, more active and there is a higher chance of making wrong decisions. Long-term holding is more suitable for those whose main goal is to create wealth in the long term. Anyone who wants to trade should not see it as a skill rather than a way to earn money, and the ability to accept losses is essential.

It is nt really accurate to say that one is more profitable than another because not every holder makes profits as much as some traders and not every traders make profits as some holders, they simply have a level of understanding and also they know how to apply the knowledge that they have. Holding is profitable but not everyone actually has the patience to keep their investments running for a long time and also not everyone is ready to take risks to trade. in my opinion I would just advise you to do whatever works for you.

Data doesn't lie.

A lot of studies over the years show that most traders lose money. Some even put the failure rate at 97%, meaning less than 3% actually make money. Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure you know plenty of people who got rich, even became millionaires, just by holding bitcoin long term.

Have you ever heard of, known or seen anyone get rich from trading? So saying holding is vastly superior to trading isn't biased or inaccurate. It's just facts.

You are sure correct. Especially when we talk about trading is not an easy thing to do because it is also an unpredictable market. You only try to work based on your knowledge, interpretations of the bitcoin market among other indices and indicators but you cannot be hundred percent accurate. It is even the joy and curiosity which comes with it. The market fluctuations are a major determinant of your earnings from the trade, now whether you will even make profits or it will result to losses is something you can only determine based on your knowledge about the market and the trade you’re taking. You will still prefer bitcoin over other altcoins because it still has more guarantee than all those other cryptocurrencies out there despite its own market volatility too. But you can rely on it more in terms of trading and holding. Like you said, success is not easy, it something which takes a lot of patience and dedication to figure out, in the case of the cryptocurrency, it is even worse.

It is very possible some traders are making money, especially those that know how to manipulate the market. I think some people know how to manipulate the price of some coins in the crypto market and they will turn it to work as long as they are making money from it. But almost all traders are losing money. At least 85% or more of the traders are losing money.

If you compare traders with bitcoin holders, opposite is the case. The topic is not about just holding any random coins, only bitcoin was mentioned and that is what this my post is based on.

Overall I think for most people it is likely to be better to hold rather than trade. Trying to out perform the market in the short term can be difficult (even for professionals), with many traders frequently losing money. Bitcoin holders over a number of years are making less decisions, and are likely making less emotional decisions.

Looking back historically Bitcoin investors over multi year time horizon have generally done well (unless they got scared and sold the dip) , although of course this does not mean they will going forward.

One mistake some persons make whenever the trading different coins vs holding Bitcoin topic is discussed is that they base their comparison on skilled traders forgetting that it's not general standard for all traders.

Most traders don't have the time, discipline or experience required to trade consistently but somehow they're not included in the discussion.

Yes, we know that holding Bitcoin isn't an automatic gateway to make profit but it removes unnecessary decisions. So for someone with limited trading experience and knowledge, holding BTC is a better option.

The key word here is preference, I cannot say that this is the general opinion of everyone but trading can be profitable as well as hodling, saying that one is better than the other is not really accurate. Not everyone has the patience to hold Bitcoin this is the reason why they prefer to trade because Bitcoin is a long term investment that requires waiting for a long period of time, as far as 5 to 10 years.

To me holding is less complicated than trading, I don't always have to look at the charts and study the market, all I have to do is buy and then wait for my investment to reach the stipulated period of time but this doesn't mean that I make more profits than those that are trading. One reason I avoid trading is because of the risks involved, one little mistake can make you blow your trading account and this can happen repeatedly.

It’s true that holding is much better for people to keep their psychology and mentality than trading because of they are maybe always trying to analyze charts every day. However, when we talk about the risk, both holding and trading will always have a similar risk, the different is trading carries a higher chance of loss but also offers better potential returns than holding only. if someone trade correctly and are able to accumulate coins to increase their assets, they will end up with more assets than someone who simply holds it.

Essentially, traders can indeed make more money and this can even be achieved in a relatively short time, because as we know, a trader can open and close positions in a matter of hours or even minutes. But you have to understand that, alongside the appeal and speed of doubling your capital, there are significant risks lurking in the background. You might make a profit at certain moments, but when bad luck strikes, you could potentially lose all the money you’ve earned previously, this is a reality i’ve consistently observed.

Meanwhile, when it comes to holding positions, one of the things i like most is the peace of mind, i don’t have to constantly watch the charts, i don’t have to wait with my heart pounding. Simply buy when you have available funds and repeat this process, this will also help build your consistency. Even if prices continue to fall, you won’t feel excessive worry, because the focus is on the long term.

In all we do in the cryptocurrency world, it is most advisable that we hold some portion of our assets and people forget at times that trading is not a get rich quick scheme or a ponzi scheme and hence we should alway try to treat more more like a business rather than gambling or ponzi.
Even as a trader or a holder, one thing is paramount, which is patience and that's one very important fact in the industry that can't be overemphasized because both traders and holders need it to be profitable in the industry.
I agree with you on your last paragraph that, even if one is a trader, it is also important that, while they trade, they also should hold as it is one of the safest ways to stay profitable with minimal risk in the industry.
