Can we talk about men who don't gamble?

Those who are active in their religion are most likely afraid to do things like these because they feel it could be against on the morals and values of the church, or the religion they personally chose.

But that does not mean that those people who stick with these vices do not belong to a certain religion, of course they still are but most likely they're not active or religious enough. Though they praise or worship on their own Creator, but they strongly believe it has nothing to do with their own vices.

Do you know that there are people today still existing and leaving their life the opposite way you does?

Just as the title of the thread suggest, we are going to concentrate more about some people we know around us that don't gamble at all, I know this may be coming as a surprise to us because some might be thinking that every man is a gambler and also act the same way they do, but let's try to take it deeper and discuss more about those we know that don't take gambling as their hobby to do.

I'm used to hearing this common saying that if a man does not gamble he will either furnicate, smoke or drink alcohol, but let's come back to the actual sense of a community setting, just as we know that we all live in a society whereby everyone has his own choice and decision to make about how to live his life, but here is the big challenge or question I will like us to discuss.

What is your perspective towards men that don't gamble, smoke, fornicate or take alcohols?

I always believe that they live by their own choice, they have logical reasons that they can say when asked why they don't do those things, but I would say that they are good men because they don't go against the norm in my neighborhood, simple as that.
In my country, gambling, drinking alcoholic beverages and adultery are not considered good and despicable behaviors because the majority of the teachings here prohibit them and condemn them, so I would just say that those who don't do those things are good men.

What is your perspective towards men that don't gamble, smoke, fornicate or take alcohols?

There are people like that, and I believe they’re not really risk takers. They just live life following what they think is right all the time, maybe even based on strict beliefs, and for me that kind of life feels a bit boring, no offense. As for me, being a gambler who also drinks and smokes sometimes, I feel like life is more enjoyable. I like the thrill of gambling, and when I drink, it feels like I’m in my own world where I can forget my problems for a while.

Exactly.

Life is not the same for everyone. Some gamble and take financial risks, others jump out of airplanes with a parachute that they hope will function when it needs to open. And there are people who dislike any kind of risk and prefer living a safe, happy life.

But risks are everywhere in life. So it really is about who is used to risk and who does not see risk. There is no baseline for identifying and avoiding risky behaivor. That is too subjective to everyone.

To the men out there who are not into gambling, smoking, fornication etc kudos to you all, then orher people who don't gamble but are into smoking and fornicating they shouldn't see themselves as good person. If a gambler is wasting his/her money on betting and who's not into gambling is washing money in smoking or fornicating both are in the same areas of wasting money because some people see gamblers as those that wasting their money, so anyone who's a gambler, smoker fornicator etc I'm not encouraging neither discouraging you i think everyone has his/her own choice.

If a man is very careful living his life without getting involved in gambling, smoking, alcohol, adultery, or anything else that is truly good, it's not a bad thing, it's just that people like this are very rare in my opinion, so there are always differences between them, for example, some like to smoke only and some like to gamble only, or so on. Maybe people like this are very disciplined in their lives, I myself have many different friends, some like to smoke and like to commit adultery, gamble and drink alcohol, and there are also those who only do some of it. But for people who really don't get involved in things like that, they can be said to be very lucky in their lives because they can keep themselves from getting involved in things that can have bad consequences.
