Yeah, I agree with that. I don't know why, but whenever I take my bets seriously it losses but when I am just trying to place a bet because of instincts, I win more. I think experience does have an effect on it. We already know what we will bet on, but because we badly want to win, we go deep into research, and that makes us doubt ourselves on the first prediction that we made.

Mine maximum is 80-85% and that is because I know that even when all facts, news and informations about the event is all pointing out to the obvious choice with a low odd usually at a maximum of 1.4 to 1.55 I know there maybe outside factors not taken into consideration when I choose the event to bet on. For outside factors I include weather which impacts games but rarely the weather is that bad and I also include referees which can demolish anything as they have full power over the event they are arbitrating.

80-85% confidence level is very high. How successful are you with this confidence level? Can you win 80-85% of your bet amount with such confidence? If you can win then I will praise your confidence level but if it is only your confidence but you keep losing regularly and if it happens that your loss amount is much more than your confidence level then I think that confidence has no value. My confidence level is always 50% and even if I lose there it is not very disappointing for me because when I place a bet I consider it equal to both win and loss.

I'm not confident in anything anymore. I can't even say there's a 60% chance something will happen. I've lost so many games that I just don't believe in anything. That makes sense. Sometimes it's even better not to be overconfident, because that helps keep your feet on the ground. Betting small amounts and accepting any outcome also makes the game more relaxed.

And I also agree that controlling emotions is one of the hardest parts. When a person starts to think they are "sure" of the bet or takes the game too seriously, that's when they can get carried away and lose control.
