After working on this project for about 3 years and iterating multiple times, I completed the whitepaper.
The whitepaper opens with constructive criticism of blockchain — five reasons why it failed to decentralize the Internet and never became Web3. Then it outlines a framework that reorients blockchain as a semantic layer rather than a world computer, with a second blockchain providing a decentralized recommendation engine.
The call of this paper is to redefine Web3 around software ownership rather than data ownership. In Ara, Web3 is a creative workspace built on collective wisdom: your computer is the creative workspace, the Internet is the collective wisdom.
