I think it’s almost impossible to completely avoid smartphones today. Life moves too fast, and for many of us they’re essential for work, banking, navigation, communication, and pretty much everything else.
The key is balance.
I actually try to have a “no gadgets” day once in a while, usually on a weekend. I go hiking or spend a day in the forest without checking my phone. The first few hours can honestly feel like withdrawal, but after that you start noticing how much calmer your mind becomes.
Um. You are clearly not doing anything important with you stupid smartphone.
