Tomboi Exchange Review
Introduction
Tomboi is an exchange that offers crypto-currency swaps where users can swap one cryptocurrency to another with high privacy using Tor browser. It’s an instant exchange where swaps are completed in short duration, as soon as the funds arrive to Tomboi receiving wallets they send the swapped amount to the wallet of the user.
They have their own liquidity pool and that’s why they offer fast trading operations. A user will pay trading fee network fee and service fee and then the user receives payout in single transaction. It’s a no KYC exchange, and that means a user doesn’t have to share their personal details in order to swap one cryptocurrency to another one.
In this review I will perform multiple exchanges on Tomboi exchange and give my honest feedback about the platform. This isn't going to be a short review so you'll have to give it some time to see what's in the review. I'll test the exchange’s website on Tor for maximum privacy. In this review I’ve exchanged BTC, LTC, ETH, SOL, USDT, USDC, to XMR, I’ll share my experience of swapping all those coins to XMR in the review so keep reading.
UI and design of the website
Tomboi’s UI is fast and free from any kind of lag. I have visited the website multiple times and refreshed it multiple times on Tor browser, to my surprise I never felt any kind of lag. The website design is quite simple but modern, and there is no delay or lag, the site loads very fast even on Tor browser. I have not faced any delays on Tor, and I believe there are no CloudFlare related issues on the site because I never filled a single CAPTCHA during all those refreshes. I must say that the website design and UI of Tomboi is quite unique and user-friendly, even a new user can use this exchange without any issues.

As you can see in the screenshot, the website design is simple, minimalistic, and yet modern. On the main page you will see the exchange option and there you can select the coin that you want to swap and the coin that you want to receive. Everything on the site is simple and can be understood in a single glimpse, on the upper right side users can select their preferred language. Overall, there are 10 languages available at the time of writing this review and in future they might add more languages in the list.
Test # 1 BTC to XMR
I started testing the platform with Bitcoin. In this test I swapped Bitcoin to XMR receiving address, I added my XMR wallet, and then copied the address where I sent 0.00042 BTC. After sending BTC I waited for a few minutes and after 15 minutes I checked my XMR wallet, the funds arrived at the my XMR wallet. The XMR confirmations took around 15-20 minutes. The first test went well but there was a little bug, although auto refresh was on but the site did not refresh automatically and even after receiving the funds, on webpage it showed “awaiting payment,” I believe such bug should be fixed for users convenience. Overall, this test went smoothly and I received my XMR in my wallet in short time.
Test # 2 LTC to XMR
In this test I chose LTC to XMR as it’s a good coin and its transaction speed is fast, and at the same time the transaction fees are low. I started the test and choose my receiving XMR wallet address. Here’s the screenshot of the test.
In this test I decided to send 0.793 LTC, I copied the payment address and sent LTC to the wallet of Tomboi. This time to my excitement as soon as I sent the payment, the site refreshed automatically and from awaiting payment, it changed to deposit transation. Check the screenshot of it below.
The test was completed in 20-23 minutes, after 3 confirmations were completed, a text message appeared in place of awaiting confirmation. The message was “Paid (sending…)” and after 2 minutes the “Completed” message appeared and the transaction was completed. I believe those text messages are helpful for some users because from those they can see when their transaction is completed. This time auto refresh worked fine.
Test # 3 ETH to XMR
After those two coin tests now I started ETH test. During ETH test I found some good things. The ETH test was completed in short time and I received my XMR fast in this test.
I selected 0.013 ETH for this test and it was barely the minimum deposit for ETH testing, I did that intentionally to see how min amount is processed on Tomboi and to my surprise it was completed in short time.
The transaction was completed pretty fast and I received my XMR in less than 5 minutes. But the XMR confirmation took around 20-25 minutes. I was really impressed by the speed that Tomboi provided. As soon as deposit is confirmed they send you the coins, there’s literally no delay.
After this swap I decided to complete Solana to XMR and then the stable coins.
Test # 4 SOL to XMR
In test number 4 I selected Solana and I started the test. I visited Tomboi exchange and I selected Solana to XMR. I selected 0.415 Sol for the test, and started the exchange.
After starting the exchange I sent 0.415 Solana to the payment address. Since Solana network is very fast the deposit was confirmed under a minute, and as soon as the deposit was confirmed XMR was sent to my receiving address by Tomboi exchange. Once again I found no delay, the exchange was completed in very short time, XMR confirmation took some time again but overall the exchange was fast.
Test # 5 USDC to XMR
In this test I chose USDC as preferred coin to exchange to XMR. First I bought some USDC using my Phantom wallet, the network was Solana so during exchange I selected USDC and fixed the network to Solana.
I selected $39.1 USDC and started the exchange. I sent USDC to the given payment address and it was deposited in short time. The exchange was completed once again and during all those tests I never faced any kind of delay or any kind of issue. I must say, Tomboi truly cares for its users that is why they have built an exchange that works instantly. Once the fifth test was completed I decided to do another test and that would be USDT to XMR.
Test # 6 USDT to XMR
This was the last test and in this test I selected the last coin USDT to XMR for exchange. Since I have successfully swapped other coins available on Tomboi to XMR, so this was the last one to swap. Everything went well for the previous tests and in this test everything went well once again.
I started the test by selecting USDT on Solana network for exchange to XMR. I have selected $37.1 worth of USDT for the test, and sent the amount to the receiving address of Tomboi, the deposit was confirmed under a minute, and overall the exchange was completed within just 1-2 minutes. I received my XMR instantly on my wallet and like before confirmations took some time but everything went well just like other tests.
Some suggestions for Tomboi owner
1. Fix this mistake in terms. Replace CEX exchange to CEX because CEX stands for centralized exchange and there’s no need to mention exchange after CEX.
2. Fix the bug that stops auto refreshing when deposit arrives.
3. If possible reduce the fees a little to compete well with the rest of the exchanges that offer similar service.
Conclusion
I have tested the platform for days to see if there will be any server related issues or any other kind of issue. To my surprise the Tomboi exchange worked every time, I never faced any server related issues or any other kind of issues during those swaps. I have swapped multiple coins to XMR and all those swaps were completed without any issue. So after all those tests, I can say that Tomboi is a good exchange service that offers no KYC exchanges and it never asks for KYC details.
