You are very free create anything like sculpture, pottery, tiles, figurines using just mud/clay you mixed yourself at home…..very easy and important that what make the contest more lively.

Why This Contest? honestly speaking my vision behind this contest,well this contest was really born from my own beautiful belief about clay modeling as a kids back then…well the perspective’s was more like dream come to pass and more like an desire…and also beyond this contest well the goal is to cultivate love and that unique community, and also I have learnt that this local broad is so full of Hidden Talent ARTISAN’S which is to somehow showcase hidden beautiful talents here all wish you guys the best ❤️‍🩹

Great idea, thank you for bringing this opportunity to the local board. because I grew up  in a town that has history about turning clay into some finish masterpiece, I’m talking  about the town that Dr. Ladi Kwali hailed from. so I kind of find this contest interesting, and hopefully I will be part of the contestants as well. In case you don’t know who I’m referring to as  Dr ladi kwali, she the woman Who is featured in the 20 naira note known for craft from clay, acknowledged by the British potter Michael cardew and everything became history for her.
I’ll be here to see creativity from our own board members.

This is a great innovation and mind blowing contest. Hands would get muddy, clothes would stain. Bitcoin is worth them all, and I'm sure many would jump on this contest. We have many creative minds and this contest is another evidence. Going away from the regular contests and popularizing the clay again. Mr Reporter thank you for this challenge, we will be glad to jump on it.

I observed you didn't add any date of closure to it or does it run until whenever you wish to lock the thread? You may need to explain so that others will understand and work accordingly. Thank you to Mr. Reporter and b1exch team for bringing yet another season of mud art contests, this contests always reminds me of our legendary earth mud artists, Lady Kwali in the 1970s-1990s, she mud several incredible arts from muds, her legacy still leaves on and relevant until future generations.

Mud art is something that was popular and predominantly done in my region while growing up and a source of income even until the current day's.

Good idea from you OP, this is a good cultural contest that is in our local history in respect to our olden days parent. Mold craving to make pots, and other beautiful things is one of our African cultures; therefore, this is a good idea and way to keep our local community together. Ladi Kwali was a living legend in mold crafting.

The observation of duration by @Emjay24 is a good observation so that we will know the time duration for the contest. Good luck to all participants.

That's true I also observed it too, it will be perfect if the starting date and ending date is fully indicated for we to know when and how to schedule our activities. Meanwhile, the innovation is pretty amazing and it's a welcome development to our local board. However, this contest has reminded me way back when I was still at school in my secondary school days, we used to design some amazing creatures with this same mud, maybe this contest is just a way of Bringing me back to what I love doing.

However, this contest has reminded me way back when I was still at school in my secondary school days, we used to design some amazing creatures with this same mud, maybe this contest is just a way of Bringing me back to what I love doing.

If you ever attended your primary school time in Nigeria and you didn't had the experience of making a clay design as part of the schools curriculum then you really didn't enjoy your elementary school time growing up. I remember how we use to spend the entire weekend molding any sculpture of our choice towards the new week for submissions, it was a thing of pride those days as a child carrying your design to school while strangers stare at it and even making comparison and jester with those of your classmates. This contest does bring back lots of childhood memories.

Wow what a great idea sir OP, this make we remember back then in primary school were we are being give assignment to do and we go and find clay in a far village bye village from our side because back than our environment no clay there, we have to just go and get those clay and do it so that our teacher should not beat us . So I prepare myself psychologically if I can or cannot participate.
I would just like to know the duration of the competition, what we need to represent and the entire complete rules.
The prize is the last thought, first you have to organize everything, waiting for an exhaustive answer.

I am trying to observe 3 things well and want to be clear. Since you mentioned that the works need to be dry for submission, it is time consuming. I expect it to take more than 1 day. So should we change the date given next to the username? Since it is time consuming, it will also be a bit difficult to save the works, because there are naughty sweet children in every house. In this case, you should consider something simple

Even I am still waiting for a clear plan for this contest, when it will start and when it will end.

6. Your work should be dry before submitting.
7. Make sure to add your username name and date by the side.
8. Once the thread has been locked the voting would begin.

Although it is your decision to conduct this contest, I would suggest you to increase the range of prize distribution. This will provide more incentive to the participants. You can consider it.

Seeing the participants that has already started with the contest in the contest thread and with the clay desire muddy i have seen so far, i can testify that, they have motivated me to be able to take part in this contest, it is a great effort that the OP has tried to bring us together once again to make the local board so warming, and i can remember that i was opportune to see and touch the difference kind of soils we have, i hope this is an opportunity again to see different colors of clay soils, i know that I'm not too good in creation but i will try my best, in giving out any mud that will come my mind, once again OP I'm greatful for an opportunity like this.

Wonderful idea and a very great contest, I love how you arranged it and the rules you used in this contest it will make the contest even more exciting. Sadly those who are in major cities in Nigeria right now will find it very difficult to locate sand that will be proper for the competition  those who are in the village will find it more easy to join this contest, if a see a good sand I may participate in this contest because I really know how to mud but if I can’t find a sand to use then I will just watch the beautiful art work by others.
This content will be filled with interesting art work, I know that for sure.

I love this initiative because it will showcase the rich culture of the Nigerian people. Most parts of Nigeria have rich deposit of clay from where ceramics are made. Most of Nigerian ceramics products like tiles, cups and other decorations are still imported even when we have the natural deposits of their most important raw material. Hopefully someone will be inspired to venture into the ceramics industry via this competition.
